That final Dragon beam may actually be what kills it. Dragon element is a very volatile and dangerous energy. That final blast may have essentially blown its brains apart.
I have almost never heard people talking about how intelligent Nakarkos is. 1. First of all, he is a problem solver. Lets talk about how he deals with his only known preadator, Ceadeus. Nakarkos realized that Ceadeus eat them, and also that Ceadeus can't come onto land. But Nakarkos can go on land, so they leave the water to avoid the one known creature that hunts and eats them. Sometimes Nakarkos leave the water to make a wyverns end for different reasons as well. 2. Nakarkos loves food, and he destroys surrounding ecosystems to get food. But Nakarkos knows that if it eats all surrounding ecosystems, it would die cause there wouldn't be any food for when it is starving. So just like humans, Nakarkos thinks to the future. Like humans for agriculture, he farms one ecosystem for when all others dry up. So he can feed himself/herself while the other ecosystems regrow. 3. He understands science. Nakarkos is known to shoot down airships, wyverns, and elder dragons when they are flying. In order to hit these targets in the air and the targets moving, often high speeds. He would have to understand that he has to aim where they will be at the time he fires his lazer, and it is not always the same speed. Some monsters like elder dragons will move faster, and he knows this, he can calculate equations of distance and time, when shooting down monsters. All of these, are things that make up human intelligence. Problem solving, thinking about the future, and understanding science. Nakarkos has human intelligence and no one can change my mind.
I don't know where are you getting this. First off the 3rd point is stupid, no offence. The second is also stupid, no offence, you have this in lore and they said it in game at some point, Nakarkos is literally a Deviljho, in midle words he can make an ecositem go bye bye because is always hungry and they have little information on what he's capable off. It will even deliberately leave certain treats closer to its home for later. 2) Nakarkos' use of monster parts as weapons indicates a very high degree of intelligence - no surprise, since the octopus that inspired it is the brainiest of all invertebrates, and are among the smartest non-human animals of all. It knows exactly how its prey uses its parts, and uses them for the same purpose - it spreads slime with the Brachydios arm, creates electric fields with the Lagiacrus back, shakes the ground with the Uragaan jaw, and generates infernos with the Glavenus tail. No doubt it could pull off other attacks with other monster parts if the devs had wanted to program them in. 3) Nakarkos is the only elder dragon that can be affected by Sonic Bombs and Tranq Bombs. When it starts using other monster parts but is not enraged, you can lob a Sonic Bomb in its face and startle it - this will make it accidentally hit itself with the part, instantly breaking it and dealing damage to his main shell. Meanwhile, if it goes into its "Dragon mode" but is not enraged, you can lob Tranq Bombs in its face to stop it from abusing its Dragon beams. 4) G-Rank Nakarkos cannot be slain until it uses its ultimate Dragon beam at least once. What the hell is that. I want one
A cuttlefish elder dragon who wear the skull of other monster on its tentacle to do a special attack based on what monster skull it is wearing for example wearing uragaan chin allows it to do tremor chin slam just like uragaan, it has 2 tentacles which means it can wear 2 different skull at the same time
It has blue blood. Weird tentacles and bones. Why the hell is that an elder dragon?
Because of its power. Without mentioning his death lazer, all the area around it turns disco alongside itself when it gets angry. An elder dragon is know for its ability to generate crazy environmental changes with ease.
Nobody is gonna acknowledge the fact that he is fighting a Nakarkos with a green sharpness long sword? And killed him in 13 mins. Whats the name of the long sword anyway?
Dude there are 4 of them
Looks like the basarios ls
He is not alone. Hell I wouldn't do it alone.
@@thelegend4783 friend did it once. A mad lad
See you in MH Portable 6th.^^
Where do i hit this guy in phase 2? Im trying to farm him on village quest but I always run out of time... = /
Probably a bit late, but you attack his arms until the smog around his face goes away. When it's gone, attack his beak to make him fall over. You can climb him and mine his shell or attack his rainbow spot
@@gamingwizard1027
I've been able to knock him down even despite attacking the tentacles exclusively, but I'd imagine he'd fall over a lot more often if I were beating on his face.
bone squid
Ah yes Capcom trolling and denying you of the game's lore escalation by making you think that this is some type of high fantasy dragon but, they said NOPE... And saying Nakarkos only uses the bones/corpses a dead wyverns as an armor.... Heh.
Can’t fight it so sad failed this quest 5 times already so I give up and replay previous quest.
Leaked footage of spooky boi 2 roy purdy
wow this is very cool
I was curious since Generation appearence. When we hit Nakarkos it bleed blue blood, Carapaceons will bleed blue when we hit them. Does this mean, Nakarkos is a Carapaceon evolved to an Elder Dragon?
Ehhh... "Elder Dragon" is just sort of a catch-all term for dangerous, weird monsters. Kirin and Narkky here are nowhere near draconian, but since both of them are so rare and dangerous, they can only be considered an Elder Dragon.
@@obsidironpumicia4074 Elder dragons Is A Monster that don't Die With Age
And Nakarlos and kirin don't die with age so They A Are elder dragon
@@applenetwork6542 The logic behind that seems good, but unfortunately it isn't true, since by that logic Raging Brachydios would be an elder dragon.
@@obsidironpumicia4074 The Raging is a variant
And Monsters are based on the Normal Not the Variants
Since normal brachydios is not elder dragon, the Variants Will Not be elder dragon
@@applenetwork6542 ...It has an organ called an Immortal Reactor.
And, so sayeth the lore, due to the explosive slime achieving perfect symbiosis with the Brachydios, he has essentially gained immortality.
i remember doing this dude solo... i wouldn't recommend it.
i did it
what the living hell is this thing!
A Cuttlefish Elder Dragon that hunts for sport and pretends it's a Hydra.
Predator of super predators eats ceadeus pups casually and is just your standard lovecraftian abomination
+Joseph Piscitelli a question do adult cedeaus eat nakarkos? I mean whales eat squids
+Just an ordinary Chameleos Yes actually. Narkarkos absolutely fear adult Ceadus but have no problem hunting pups. Like Killer whales, they will hunt the babies but back the fuck up once they see an adult come into the frame
A Elder Dragon that took the form of Dry Bones from Mario and looks like hydra (and is the final boss of Low and High Rank)
*_Spooktober my doods_*
Boss Fight Database can share you armor set
yian kut ku head, arm and chest, yian garuga waist and probably ratholos leg, it's still high rank so i'd rather not care about armor skill much until later in G rank
What is the name of the long sword that you use
Titanic Makra , Basarios long sword
it always ticks me off when i see players that keeps attacking even when the weapon sharpness become yellow, i mean, i can understand if it fall down from blue to green or from white to blue, but from green to yellow and you still attacking?
Yeah, it's definitely irritating to watch. I always sharpen when my weapon hits blue or green, depending on the weapon I'm using.
This thing shouldnt appear in any monster hunter game in future and let it extinct
Wait a minute....this is not the highrank nakarkos, its the low rank 3 star nakarkos. thats why you could repel it in 13 mins. why do you even need other players to help on that quest. you can just solo it.
This could have been a good elder dragon for the rotten vale even though vaal hazak is already in rotten vale.
This also could have been a great turf war for odogaron and other monster and also a good final boss fight in rotten vale
Nakarkos has his own haitat, the wyvern's end. Why would he live in rotten vale if he was in world?
初見じゃ絶対背中の弱点わかんないw
Best Monster..
Is a little sad that in GU he's not a village key quest at least, Narkarkos is really cool.
Is an urgent mission in the village quest, alongside Akantor, Ukanlos, Amatsu and Alatreon, the f*ck do you mean? Also you can play offline btw.
Is the armor good ?
Vaal Hazak's cousin??
No, this is a cuttlefish
It's considered an Elder Dragon much like the Vaal Hazaak, that's for certain
This thing could easily destroys both nergigante and vaal hazak's at the same time

Nah, Nakarkos was a good monster design, but it had a bad fight. Too easy for its rank, and really boring. The armor, although cool looking, had a bad mix of skills,

It looks cool and has a cool theme but it's gotta be the most boring fight in the game. It's impossible to die once you know it's attacks and it becomes a game of waiting for it to let it hit it's bone covered tentacles.
This ia an adult form of ceadeus right????
No. How would a whale turn into a squid? Lemme tell you some lore. The baby ceadeus (the white one in MH3U) is prey for Narkarkos. Goldbeard ceadeus (the adult form of ceadeus) preys on Narkarkos

When was that stated? It seems like about an even match-up between them.... And isn’t Ceadeus a herbivore anyway?
