The difficulty this thing was for the state of the game at the time of release dwarfs Alatreon, Fatalis and Ancient Leshen. Soloing Fatalis with Non-Fatalis gear was easier than a team of 4 with Drachen Armor attempting Extreme Behenoth.
Only part I disagree on is Ancient Leshen but I suppose it depends on when you fought it. On release pre nerf it was by far the hardest fight in the game, after nerfs it’s easier than extreme behemoth for sure though.
Raging Brachydios is one of, if not the most infuriating fight in World, imo. There is a special place in hell for that monster. (Still one of my favs tho 🫶)

Really solid list! Genuinely think the only change I'd make would be to swap Rathian and Legiana - Rathian is so predictable she'd sit at the top of easy for me, while Legiana has a couple of quick attacks that can catch you off-guard, especially with slower weapons. Think she deserves bottom end of medium
I would leave it where she is, Legiana is the personification of "circle around" as a new player to the series and soon as I understood that, she became a punching bag with useful loot while Rathian even though she is predictable, if she caught you at the middle of an animation, you get poison or a nice stun, punish mistakes harder and uses to diferent aliements vs Legiana that with some elemental L you can just survive any shot; she's loud though, I give her that
So many people putting out that Alatreon is the hardest and 100% are saying so because of the extra requirement of dealing enough elemental damage. The thing is, he has massive openings from the slow lightning, fire and ice attacks (rearing up to rain down bolts, ice breath in straight line where he stands still, rings on the floor that explode out that you dodge into the middle after the first ring triggers etc) that making that requirement is really simple after taking the time for just observation. I honestly think the main issue people face, (aside from playing with the guardian set and being way too OP to learn anything throughout the base game) is playing with other people all the time. Not because playing multiplayer is bad, but because not only can you easily pair up with people much better than yourself and get carried ahead without learning actually what works and doesn't, you don't get to see how all the attacks work because the monsters attention is split between the group, leaving it so that when you do decide to play solo, you're in hunts you just aren't capable of because you haven't learned or experienced how the game actually works. So many randoms i've played with in 2 man hunts that just completely rush in and get slapped because they are used to the groups of 4 mobbing a monster into KO/stagger endlessly. It's gotten better as time as gone on, but early on it was so common to find people wearing "meta" gear and getting wiped because they failed to understand that the gear didn't fill the gaps that actual experience was needed for.
im even willing to say alatreon is easier than raging brachy.. sure alatreon slaps you harder but as you said, he has lots of massive openings that you can take advantage of. breaking the horns is not even that hard if use the said openings.. but it does gets harder when you play multiplayer when not everyone is focusing on the horns. back when alatreon first came out, people do be bringing blast weapons to fight him, making random multiplayer almost impossible for the first few days
During psp days. Playing monster hunter freedom unite fighting white fatalis until times up, because fatalis got so many hp. Need to buy another psp and play with my brother then we can beat white fatalis. Need the endurance skill since white fatalis aoe attack covers all ground in the map. Crazy times. MHW and MHR can be played solo. And if u really cant beat it u can go multiplayer. Last time during ps2 and psp era, getting people to play together is so hard because internet connection of those system is zero.
I remember first time on iceborne when i first faced Rajang, was so overwhelming that made me quit for months, im a CB main and he was destroying me, change to longsword, SnS, Insect Glaive and still couldn't pass him. Months later, i came back from work, and boot up World, pickup my main and go straight against him... Killed it first try without carting I learned so much about the combat and how to use my weapon properly because of him... Still hate that fucker thou
Extreme Behemoth is BY FAR the hardest monster in the series, especially before the Iceborne update. Not even Fatalis was that hard, and it was meant to be killed only once to get all the rewards. The only quest in all the games with an actual red warning that says "this quest will really kick your ass"...that thing casts THREE ecliptic meteors on the last zone (five in total), and only spawns one little meteor to hide behind, and he can easily destroy it or cover it with a tornado. That thing was a true nightmare.
Fatalis is harder than him the only fight that I haven't been able to beat and think is harder than fatalis was furious rajang event quest where he gives u the best decos
I'm noob lbg user, I like how difficulty of monster change compared meele vs ranged fights. Is like almost it is different game. Very nice video I like it a lot!
my first MH was World, and i also started off with the LBG! it was comforting in a game full of other systems that i had to learn. my advice? after your playthrough or sooner if you like, definitely pick up an intermediate melee weapon (i chose Hunting Horn.) it will be a revelation
I don't know. Sure, having range may make it seem easier, then your character gets hit and you realize that you take A LOT of damage because ranged weapons (At the bows I used) have no passive defence. The easiest weapons I've used have been melee weapon that can parry, block or counter.
Change I'd make would be: Move Black Diablos and Acidic Glavenus to between Yian Garuga and Fulgur Anjanath. Acidic being above Reguluar Glavenus feels wrong, and Black Diablos is really just shortening the CD on her moves. Frostfang Barioth I'd move to bottom extreme, not because what you said is wrong, but because of how often that fight often ends up in tight corridors. Fast, minimal recovery time, and wide radius in a tunnel... ouch. Really an environmental booster. On a not related to this tier list specifically note, but to the video itself. Make sure to have the whole tier list visible for a chunk of time at the end of the video instead of cutoff/cropped off so when you ask a question about our opinions on the list we don't have to scrub the video back and forth to find the rest of the list. WILDS OBT NEXT WEEK!!!
Behemoth not getting to extreme is insane to me. I played with a 4 people team all in a call and it still took us just as long as Alatreon if not longer to beat with HR gear and thats talking about regular behemoth
My personal strat for shutting down FF Barioth is 1. Rocksteady 2. Weaken both arms (also head if i feel like it) 3. wallbang once 4. wait to not early enrage him 5. wallbang secondtime 6. break both arms while he is one the ground 7. glider mantle 8. mount 9. knockdown into head break After all that he is insanly crippled and probably also out of his enrage which opens him for another double wallbang. Makes the entire fight extremly controlable
Alatreon took me 2 years, mainly cus he made me rage quit for months on end multiple times. Now that I’ve beat every monster, Fatalis is the only one that can still give me a decent challenge. Id still say alatreon is the hardest cus of how long u need to prepare to kill him.
if you havent farm safijiva sets before the alatreon content came out, yep its hell for you. but you can substitute the fire and ice with rathalos or frostfang weapons, and make a dedicated elemental build. then its all just about learning alatreons gimmick and moves. fatalis however.. that took me 2 weeks to kill him and i play daily with 2k hours of playtime at that time
For me it's the opposite. Alatreon wasn't that hard tbh. It was just a gimmick monster/boss from my experience. Now for Fatalis I did rage quit the game for almost a year lol.
Bruh, frostfang barioth has the best weapons for alatreon. Just get some relatively basic gear with elemental attack and standard offensive abilities. All else that is needed is skill and that skill doesn't need to be anywhere near as high as for fatalis
I like that you pointed this out, but your weapon preference and gear preference can really have significant impact on how challenging different monsters are in the game. I fought deviljho as soon as the quest showed up (playing recently) and failed due to running out of time, later on, when I fought savage deviljho it wasn’t much challenge, not because I knew his move set better, just because I had better gear and was more proficient in using the controls of the weapon
@@SerechII I meant more that its still the MMO/RPG factor of your skills and how advanced your gear is vs your place in the game. Also some fights are easier with a weapon like hammer or GS, some are harder
Anjanath as an A tier is crazy to me. He was my first real barrier. Even with late game weapons and armor, while the fight is very easy, he is still so annoying. Maybe just me. With Alatreon I got sort of lucky. I was fighting him when he came out right as people were theory crafting his best counters so I got a ton of optimized random teams to take him down quite easily. Maybe realistically 10 tries or fewer.
Kushala Daora changed me so much when i was new to the series he forced me to play Dark Souls to become a dodge and parry god. Now i run all others Solo but not Fatalis yet. It was a fun journey thru DS1 to DS3 to Bloodborne, back to MHW.
And I don't have much problem with Furious Rajang, considering I beat him first try, while Raging Brachydios made me retire from the game for 3 years until recently I had my revenge with the help of my friends
i think the most surprising part of this tier list is the fact that not only is Gold Rathian below Silver Rathalos, but below Brute Tigrex, Ruiner Nergigante, and Frostfang Barioth. Of course lists are subjective and everyone plays differently, but Gold Rathian is by far one of the hardest fights for me. She's a goddamn aerial beyblade (I use Great Sword and Sword & Shield tbf, but still incredibly annoying). Also, I honestly thought Brute Tigrex was easier than regular Tigrex. Just felt like he screamed A LOT but that would leave him open more frequently. Regarding Vaal Hazaak, I would honestly put him in high medium rather than hard. While effluvium is an issue, iirc the waist piece from the Great Girros gives effluvium immunity, which is very easy to obtain and could serve to be useful even before fighting Vaal Hazaak. Only real concern is nulberries, but imo, nulberries is a must in a loadout NO MATTER WHAT. There can always be a situation where you may need them and it's definitely an easier to forget about item. Even though preparation is still there and you do have to go out of your way to do some things, this by far the easiest prep that I can remember and it's something players could definitely run into by accident, or after trying to find a solution because the fights with the Odogaron and Girros in the effluvia, which is how I found out about the armor skill myself.
I have 1k hours in and would personally rank in descending difficulty: 1) Fatalis 2) AT Velk 2.5) Alatreon 3) Extremoth/Ancient Leshen 4) Furious Rajang 5) Raging Brachy 6) Lunastra
7:30 Thank god finally somone not slandering how amazing this fight is translated into MH. All i see online is people bitching about Charybdis because they dont understand the concept of aggro
Tobi Kadachi and Anjanath were both difficult in the sense that the hunter would not have access to much gear and both were early roadblocks for new players who are unfamiliar with the series. Alatreon and Fatalis were both amazing end-game fights though I am personally opposed to any sort of "one-shot" mechanic and don't like fights that force a specific play style (in this case all out aggression) Extreme Behemoth falls into this category as well. There are some monsters in each MH game that I personally believe were designed around being less challenge and more a fun/relaxing hunt. A good way to increase the player base as not everyone wants to be sweating IRL when they play a video game. On an side the flash pod nerf made Rathalos and Kushala a giant PITA.
As a lance main, I hardly get killed by anything except BlackVeil Vaal Hazaak, didn't feel like to make a build specifically for him and I suffered terribly.
I love fighting the first Anganth lol (Lance main) he's so smart too, when he lures you into the raphian/tobi kadachi lair i found it so cool , this is my first month playing this game & im coming from Dragons Dogma 2 lol , this game is amazing im so hooked , doing my best to not use the Guardian armor before i get to Iceborne lol alot of grinding but man its fun !
Disagree with a lot of the list but I guess it comes down to preferences and experience. One thing I will say is that you can knock furious rajang out of his rampage state, except you have hit his head instead of the tail as you would for the normal rajang. I struggled a lot more with my first rajang than my first furious one as most of the moveset is the same and I found hitting his tail so much harder than hitting furious rajang's head so he'd stay in his rampage state for longer
Its funny when you bring up attempts, as both Alatreon and Fatalis took me around ten or more tries to beat with Alatreon getting the higher amount of retries. AT Velkhana took three tries. The difference in gameplay SnS can bring i suppose. Still though, good list.
As a bow main forced to solo most of the game,Raging Brachy and Arch Tempered Namielle are in Extreme for me. And Ebony Odo still randomly carts me 1/15 hunts so I gotta raise him. Other than that, I'd drop Arch Tempered Velkhana. Cakewalk for me honestly.
I stopped playing after behemoth was introduced. At the time I had been playing solo and the introduction of monsters that were almost impossible to do alone with the equipment available at the time was very frustrating.
The thing about this game is I keep failing like 30 times fighting Alatreon AND THEN killed him ONCE, Twice and consecutively 50 times in a row. Those battles turned into dance floor.
I think you should of ranked them at their hardest versions, when solo and when you would typically face them. Extreme behemoth solo was the only monster I never beat and I beat safi solo before they updated him so that you could. You said yourself a dedicated team 8hrs, I honestly don't know how people used to fight him solo before iceborne.
I will never be able to logically explain how i first tried the double tempered kirin but had to reset 8 times teostra while my friends never had any trouble with him
Things I disagree with are : -frosfang barioth which I never struggled with and I think even his regular variant was harder because of the gear you have when you face both, making him a medium difficulty fight at best -namielle which is a walk in the park and shouldn’t be above medium -both deviljoes are extremely telegraphed and don’t do that much damage, again both are medium at best -anjanath was a tedious fight even on my second account, he could range anywhere from high medium to low hard for when you face him in the game.
Personally, I think frostfang belongs in the lower part of hard difficulty. The fight is annoying, but wasn't that hard compared to the other monsters in that category.
Sorry but I still have AT Nergigante PTSD, no other monster had me be so try hard than that. The instantainious Dive Domb was just the unfairest bulls- and remains on top of hardest fights I had to deal with.
I also would have preferred separate tier lists for lowrsnk/ high rank and master rank. The differences between the rankings fannot be ignored, not sure why we're doing that in a tier list
I have 5000 hours on the game, and honestly I feel like the hardest monster is Arch Tempered Velkhana. It one shots most builds and is more aggressive than regular and tempered velkhana, the fight is just unfair and thats what makes it good and the hardest.
Shockingly enough, Great Girros is a monster I never want to fight again. Constantly getting jumped by his little cousins and hangs out on the back line, THE PARALYSIS, it honestly reminds me of Rom from Bloodborne but if it was horrifically more annoying.
I thought I wouldn’t have trouble with black diablos, until doing the heavy metal I the waste quest..and being stuck between black diablos and savage deviljho The pain
the type of weapon you use can also affect the difficulty of fighting the monsters. since pickle likes to overhelm you and you have to keep your pace with his attacks, i find weapons that allow quick and nimble moves quite easier when dealing with him
Some comments Bazel and jho are 100% in the same tier (i'd argue bazel is harder since the bombs are unpredictable) Extremoth on launch was an absolute nightmare, insane tier for sure. Ragang and lunastra in extreme is nuts, there nowhere near as hard as the others in the tier. Fatalis and alatreon are hard, sure. Not even close to the hardest bosses in other games like the promised consort for instance. I hope wilds will be a much more difficult game overall.
The worst thing is… it probably won’t be. Considering the direction they went with rise, AND the fact that they’re simplifying armor builds even more, it’s not gonna be a hard game. I just hope it’s not as easy as rise was.
Are we comparing ER to MH? I bet it won't be any close to that hard, it has a diferent ideology behind. I'm new to MH and just picked World:IB as a break from ER DLC and it feels like such, I'm even playing with L Joystick drift and having fun and first trying things (I'll buy a new controller soon lol)
@@hunterkinsella5303i think they’re responding to the op, who was comparing fatalis and alatreon to the promised consort, which is a soulsborne boss iirc
I like fighting mote raging brachy than normal brachy. But both are extremely agile and its a nightmare to fight with a slow weapon, when fighting solo.
Idk, maybe it's because I did Fatalis before I had augments for my weapon and armor, but Fatalis was waaaay harder than Alatreon. His moves hit way harder, pretty much every attack oneshots you in phase 3, he leaves damaging fire everywhere, and has a time limit. All Alatreon has is his elemental check which isn't that hard to pass, and he gives way more openings than Fatalis.
also not to mention that fatalis weakspot is his head.. which cant be reach unless hes on all fours.. and if you try clutch claw him at the wrong time, yep the cat cart is calling. even with augments, fatalis is still a challenge if you are not familiar with him. alatreon is a challenge too but he has more openings than fatalis does and hits less harder
kirin at best should be upper medium tier. by using para/stun negate skills and upping lightning res he becomes very easy to deal with since his attacks will barely do damage.
Might be a wild take but remove escaton and alatreons move-set kinda sucks would put him in a similar bracket to teostra escaton alone is what makes alatreon hard
Ive still never actually beat Alatreon legit on my xbox account. I thought i was pretty decent at MHW, but damn he was just a monolith for me. Only beat him when i got the game on pc for dirt cheap and was just mucking around one hitting monsters and such.
Arch temper nergi, Fatalis, and Alatreon are the hardest Boss. Alatreon elements shape and moves is unpredictable. Fatalis hit box is huge. Last, Arch temper nergigante hits hard to a one shot.
Alatreon is only hard because teammates in SoS do two things: -Bring Dragon/Wrong Element -Get Dragonblight and never remove it, causing them to do nothing but cause a failed hunt
@@ReVolHcTiB thats fair, but i think some people join SoS is just either they legitimately wanted to help randoms and because theyre already bored doing solo hunts.. nothing wrong with your suggestion tho, im just saying
i thought i had fought a lot of monsters only to see ive got another 20 to fight and they all end game. and not to mention the 4 people or more monsters
Fatalis top wall i had to climb but for me raging brahy was harder than alatreon and i needed brahy for Lightbreak Twins DB oh boy i was so furious fighting him...even arch tempered valkhana took me less attempts than brahy
DarkHero 2: "Going from the very start of the game with Great Jagras all the way to the end of the Iceborne expansion with Fatalis" Also DarkHero 2: Starts with Anjanath instead of Great Jagras
Surprisingly, I find Rajang and Furious Rajang rather easy. Downed me maybe like twice maybe three times ever (then again, I am charge blade user, so I just block) and that was it for the 10 fights I did with them. Now Alatreon and Raging Brachy hooo boy. Those guys were the biggest skill issue of my life. Raging Brachy downed me soooooo many times its insane. And Alatreon made me rage quit for a whole month before I returned and beat him. Probably best feeling ever at the time.
raging brachy is a bit unfair to me personally because he has a massive attack range and hes massive and still can jolt around here and there like muhammad ali in his prime. and the slime.. the slime..
I’m pretty new to the monster Hunter franchise so if you ask me anything all you’re getting out of me is anjanath diablos Rathalos and deviljho please correct me in the comments if I got any of those names wrong
fun fact for you, only anjanath is the newest monster in the series, while rathalos and diablos have been since the 2004 original, rathalos being the poster boy of monster hunter. deviljho comes later on and was a nightmare for many hunters
i agree, im surprised he set anjanath as baby level 😂 i have played the monster hunter series since the original ps2 version but the first time i met anjanath is while randomly hunting a pukei, and the green forest floor turned to deep brown..but i agree to what he said that anjanath teaches you to be good, but kind of like a strict teacher “you must be good or else suffer later” kind of way
Anjanath and Kushala are my hardest base game monsters. (I just finished the base game.) Anja because i simply was a noob and Kushala because of its unblockable attack that screwed my over with my lance. (Up until then basically everything is blockable.) And i hadnt have guard up yet. Teostra was manageable because its a bit slower so its easier to get the powerguard guardup buff. I neede also 2 attempts at xenojiva but out of my own stupididy in not blocking his attack where he breaks into the ground, it was significantly easier than kushala once i got the hand of that attack.
Still i can't beat extreme Behemoth, but killed Alatreon and Fatalis around 20-30 times. First tryies was be tough, but they are beatable, but not the Behemoth though. I got top builds on each weapon, with rarest decos, with more then 1000 hours in game. But extreme Behemoth is the only thing i can't beat.
I just got fucked up by that Kulu-Ya-Ku in the final fantasy quest and now I feel better I died to him he was my second death in the whole game this play through first time as be being dumb against a deviljo lol but I was so made I died. lol
Before the video starts, im just gonna say this now- Nergi is a pain in the butt during base game, specifically because of its dive bomb ability. Now maybe slightly controversial, base Teostra, Vaal, Kirin and (believe it or not) Kushala are extremely easy. Now I havent beat the entire game yet, but based on my experience so far these are my opinions.
nergi is really the definition of overwhelming power. he really likes to keep you on your feet at all times. he really do be saying think fast chucklenuts if he can actually speak. kirin is not that hard.. id personally put him at medium or easy difficulty, he has quite a few openings and easy tells, and base kirin is merciful if you make mistakes.. the HR49 tempered kirin however.. that is a massive wall
tbh kushala was the easiest elder dragon for me i just used dual blades, no pods and stuff (this is my first mh game so idk half the mechanics) although the tornados were annoying it was just moving out of the way and clutch clawing and attacking him whenever i could, did it first try but i struggled a lot more with teostra at first than kushala
sorry but the second you said some monsters which were walls to many people in community were easy because basically should've learned how to actually play the game/use your weapon just ruined this list. As another hunter whos played thousands of hours, every monster in your hardlist is as easy as Anjanath and Diablos by the logic you used. Brachy and Tigrex were my most forgettable fights, and personally required much less attention than Rajang. Definitely needed more tiers of difficulty as feel like some monsters should not have been grouped up the way they were, i get you said its subjective, but doesnt come off that way from how you described encounters unfortunately. Anyway despite the criticism love to see mhw content, and look forward to more of yours. Happy Hunting.
its ok to disagree :) lets face it, some monsters are harder to others than some. and i think he made the list based on that. so it can be pretty messy. it would be different if he made the list based on his own personal experience i think

My main issue with Alatreon is that he is the only Monster in the MH franchise that tries to force you onto something. Which is something I dislike.
Killed it first try without carting
I learned so much about the combat and how to use my weapon properly because of him...
World has a lot of quests that you win and think "what on gods green earth did i just fight"
@@WeeWeeJumbo When playing with lbg I feel "safe", when demo of Wilds hit next week, I will try all of the weapons at least once! Have a nice day!
I don't know. Sure, having range may make it seem easier, then your character gets hit and you realize that you take A LOT of damage because ranged weapons (At the bows I used) have no passive defence. The easiest weapons I've used have been melee weapon that can parry, block or counter.
@@DragonMasonHealer Hm well I did not know about it, thx:)
Change I'd make would be:
Move Black Diablos and Acidic Glavenus to between Yian Garuga and Fulgur Anjanath.
Yeah I agree
agree with most but the frostfang barioth one, in my opinion he should be in middle tier, never struggled with that fight.
Behemoth not getting to extreme is insane to me. I played with a 4 people team all in a call and it still took us just as long as Alatreon if not longer to beat with HR gear and thats talking about regular behemoth
I have bullied so much gold rathian (with full aerial IG :D) but this is a great ranking :)
My personal strat for shutting down FF Barioth is
1. Rocksteady
2. Weaken both arms (also head if i feel like it)
3. wallbang once
4. wait to not early enrage him
5. wallbang secondtime
6. break both arms while he is one the ground
7. glider mantle
8. mount
9. knockdown into head break
After all that he is insanly crippled and probably also out of his enrage which opens him for another double wallbang. Makes the entire fight extremly controlable
Thank you. Furious Rajang really got my goat
Being better at the weapon makes you better at the game? Who could've thonk it??1?
Placing Furious Rajang at extreme but not Raging Brachydios is unacceptable, in my opinion, Raging Brachydios is even harder than Alatreon
I personally never had problems with Raging Brachy, especially when he goes into his final area. The fight becomes even easier there
And I don't have much problem with Furious Rajang, considering I beat him first try, while Raging Brachydios made me retire from the game for 3 years until recently I had my revenge with the help of my friends
no way dude, alatreon is a different level. brachy is only hard if you dont know how to position yourself
@@scragglie I did specifically referring to Raging Brachy
Same alatreon isn’t too bad easy to punish and kill fast I have to play flawless to beat raging brachy consistently
i think the most surprising part of this tier list is the fact that not only is Gold Rathian below Silver Rathalos, but below Brute Tigrex, Ruiner Nergigante, and Frostfang Barioth.
Cool rank :))))
im a new player and this list really humbled me i just killed the bald trex and i thought i was the strongest but no this is just the start
Love that😂
Diablos was the monster when I switched my main from long sword to lance, and I never looked back. Lance was just so good against him.
If you can stay defensive enough and knock him out hammer is great too
The spicy pickle is a bit difficult unless he starts nuking the arena, I had one that just started doing that at a moments notice.
I have 1k hours in and would personally rank in descending difficulty:
1) Fatalis
2) AT Velk
2.5) Alatreon
3) Extremoth/Ancient Leshen
4) Furious Rajang
5) Raging Brachy
6) Lunastra
I'd swap Raging Brachy and Furious Rajang. That's a really good rank anyway
Where as the fight with every other monster feels like a fight, i feel like the fatalis and alatreon fights feel more like a dance
As a lance main, I hardly get killed by anything except BlackVeil Vaal Hazaak, didn't feel like to make a build specifically for him and I suffered terribly.
I struggled more defeating a banbaro than i did with vaal hazak wtf.
I love fighting the first Anganth lol (Lance main)
he's so smart too, when he lures you into the raphian/tobi kadachi lair i found it so cool , this is my first month playing this game & im coming from Dragons Dogma 2 lol , this game is amazing im so hooked , doing my best to not use the Guardian armor before i get to Iceborne lol alot of grinding but man its fun !
Pink Rathian and Azure Rathalos are getting my hate, farming those rubies is getting nuts, I have like 200 scales and 100 carapaces
Raging brachy in hard made me laugh like a hyena that dude still kicks my ass worse than pre nerf alatreon
i would rather fight a lunastra trapped in a bedroom of a small house than fight a barioth. That monster is positively enraging
I stopped playing after behemoth was introduced. At the time I had been playing solo and the introduction of monsters that were almost impossible to do alone with the equipment available at the time was very frustrating.
I have 700 hours and I didn't know that torch pods get rid of the effluvium poisoning
I think Raging Brachydios should go into Extreme category. For me, it was a way more difficult than Furious Rajang
The thing about this game is I keep failing like 30 times fighting Alatreon AND THEN killed him ONCE, Twice and consecutively 50 times in a row. Those battles turned into dance floor.
Now it’s time for a rise video
what if I told you that I had already done one for Rise? ua-cam.com/video/B13bKQzIUqg/v-deo.html
@@darkhero2it’s a tad outdated
@@overus1 You're a tad outdated.
I will never be able to logically explain how i first tried the double tempered kirin but had to reset 8 times teostra while my friends never had any trouble with him
Things I disagree with are :
-frosfang barioth which I never struggled with and I think even his regular variant was harder because of the gear you have when you face both, making him a medium difficulty fight at best
-namielle which is a walk in the park and shouldn’t be above medium
-both deviljoes are extremely telegraphed and don’t do that much damage, again both are medium at best
-anjanath was a tedious fight even on my second account, he could range anywhere from high medium to low hard for when you face him in the game.
Kulu-Ya-Ku isn't easy! I lost my breakfast because he stole my eggs and I can't hunt on an empty stomach!
Good rating. My personally, i don't think to put lunastra that high. Maybe below behemoth
About Teostra's nova, frag pods, crystal pods and explosive pods can interrupt it
I have 5000 hours on the game, and honestly I feel like the hardest monster is Arch Tempered Velkhana. It one shots most builds and is more aggressive than regular and tempered velkhana, the fight is just unfair and thats what makes it good and the hardest.
Shockingly enough, Great Girros is a monster I never want to fight again. Constantly getting jumped by his little cousins and hangs out on the back line, THE PARALYSIS, it honestly reminds me of Rom from Bloodborne but if it was horrifically more annoying.
love Glavie armor u just use his Swordtake hook up to The Armor u Smith
I thought I wouldn’t have trouble with black diablos, until doing the heavy metal I the waste quest..and being stuck between black diablos and savage deviljho
The pain
Im still on mhw base game, the pickle is the hardest monster that always get me carted lol
Bc a lot of his attacks have lingering hit boxed. Wait till you hit barioth in mr. That mf made me switch off of ls.
Try out hbg or lbg build you will loev those weapons
the type of weapon you use can also affect the difficulty of fighting the monsters. since pickle likes to overhelm you and you have to keep your pace with his attacks, i find weapons that allow quick and nimble moves quite easier when dealing with him
Some comments
Bazel and jho are 100% in the same tier (i'd argue bazel is harder since the bombs are unpredictable)
Extremoth on launch was an absolute nightmare, insane tier for sure.
@@hunterkinsella5303 Rise was easy, yes, but it was made up for in the anomaly investigations.
@@rodolfoquintana9756 I don’t see why we would be comparing MH to ER, but go off I guess
@@hunterkinsella5303i think they’re responding to the op, who was comparing fatalis and alatreon to the promised consort, which is a soulsborne boss iirc
Hum... The normal Paolumu does not put you to sleep.
I like fighting mote raging brachy than normal brachy.
But both are extremely agile and its a nightmare to fight with a slow weapon, when fighting solo.
55:28 people who had a hard time with raging branchydios
(I now I did and then I stopped playing it bc bro was over power)
Bazelgeese will forever be on my nuke list
kirin at best should be upper medium tier.
by using para/stun negate skills and upping lightning res he becomes very easy to deal with since his attacks will barely do damage.
Might be a wild take but remove escaton and alatreons move-set kinda sucks would put him in a similar bracket to teostra escaton alone is what makes alatreon hard
Escaton isn't even a difficulty modifier, with even a sliver of element then u can get the topple.
@@atheontimesconflux4613 not really my point basically all im saying is alatreon feel like a 1 move fight
Ive still never actually beat Alatreon legit on my xbox account. I thought i was pretty decent at MHW, but damn he was just a monolith for me. Only beat him when i got the game on pc for dirt cheap and was just mucking around one hitting monsters and such.
is that the File City theme from Digimon World I hear in the back?
yes indeed!
Arch temper nergi, Fatalis, and Alatreon are the hardest Boss. Alatreon elements shape and moves is unpredictable. Fatalis hit box is huge. Last, Arch temper nergigante hits hard to a one shot.
Huh? Man listen. Master Rank Urugaan hits like a damn truck for noooooo reason
ikr? its the same feeling if you play rise, and you meet jyuratodus.. i dont remember jyura slaps you as hard in rise than in world.. 😂
Alatreon is only hard because teammates in SoS do two things:
-Bring Dragon/Wrong Element
-Get Dragonblight and never remove it, causing them to do nothing but cause a failed hunt
Imma solve that issue right now
Why not just play solo, since it's easier
haha buddy, you should have seen when alatreon first came out and literally almost everyone bring raging brachy sets 😂
@@ReVolHcTiB thats fair, but i think some people join SoS is just either they legitimately wanted to help randoms and because theyre already bored doing solo hunts.. nothing wrong with your suggestion tho, im just saying

Fatalis top wall i had to climb but for me raging brahy was harder than alatreon and i needed brahy for Lightbreak Twins DB oh boy i was so furious fighting him...even arch tempered valkhana took me less attempts than brahy
DarkHero 2: "Going from the very start of the game with Great Jagras all the way to the end of the Iceborne expansion with Fatalis"
Also DarkHero 2: Starts with Anjanath instead of Great Jagras

Ever heard of wilds and rise they are the newest instalments of monster hunter
Anjanath should be higher up. He wasn't easy for any of my friends of my family members. He took us multiple days to beat
i agree, im surprised he set anjanath as baby level 😂 i have played the monster hunter series since the original ps2 version but the first time i met anjanath is while randomly hunting a pukei, and the green forest floor turned to deep brown..but i agree to what he said that anjanath teaches you to be good, but kind of like a strict teacher “you must be good or else suffer later” kind of way
DarkHero ranking monster in mhw : it's really not that diffcult.
Dodo game is extremely because it takes so much mental fortitude to put them down humanly
I neede also 2 attempts at xenojiva but out of my own stupididy in not blocking his attack where he breaks into the ground, it was significantly easier than kushala once i got the hand of that attack.
going against kushala with a lance.. i feel your pain brother
fun monster i want those Ram horns
Still i can't beat extreme Behemoth, but killed Alatreon and Fatalis around 20-30 times. First tryies was be tough, but they are beatable, but not the Behemoth though. I got top builds on each weapon, with rarest decos, with more then 1000 hours in game. But extreme Behemoth is the only thing i can't beat.
what a mistake. great jagras is ss+ tier.
@razrinex4407 haven't fought tempered or arch-tempered Elders yet, but from what everyone says they are definitely a massive reality check lol
MR kulve because its a coin toss when it wants to run away.
Kirin is one if the most easiest fight with GS for me. I always love smashing it's head with GS.
If some Monster have a way stronger special / event version you might can rank both and give the special one a star or so ?
I always viewed shrieking legiana as the males of the species.
tbh kushala was the easiest elder dragon for me i just used dual blades, no pods and stuff (this is my first mh game so idk half the mechanics) although the tornados were annoying it was just moving out of the way and clutch clawing and attacking him whenever i could, did it first try but i struggled a lot more with teostra at first than kushala
sorry but the second you said some monsters which were walls to many people in community were easy because basically should've learned how to actually play the game/use your weapon just ruined this list. Happy Hunting.
its ok to disagree :) lets face it, some monsters are harder to others than some. and i think he made the list based on that. so it can be pretty messy. it would be different if he made the list based on his own personal experience i think
had to farm raging brachy gear and i hated fighting him every time 😂😂😂
