I think you guys are missing the point of a CNET car review. :) They provide a unique perspective on the ever increasing technology in vehicles these days. There are countless other reviews out there if you want to hear people read the marketing material provided by the manufacture. So it's nice to see reviews where they aren't afraid to dig into the vehicle and tell you how they really feel. :)
I have an 09 and if the 10 has such a bouncy ride, I'll keep my 09. As for the performance of the 2.5, WTF do you expect??? I have the 2.5 with auto and knowing what to expect out of it, it's a nice power-train. I never anticipated drag racing a WRX and expect to win, come on people, quit trashing the 2.5, it's a great engine and even better than the 3.6 when Turbo charged.
Yeah I want in dash nav and all it's costly upgrades. My cell phone does all things this guy wants and it hooks up to the stereo in even this Outback. Techie guys are always begging for the latest technology that will be out of date in 6 months. Best term for guys like this...."Space Age" aka: 1960's.
"There's no particular branding. It's Harmon Kardon."

Seriously, this guy misses the point of a Subaru. Where is the reviewer that knows about outdoor recreational use vehicles!?
This guy misses the whole point of driving a Subaru Outback.....
