Heyyyy lovelies, in this video I am sharing with you a brand new game changing technique to ELEVATE your Eco and Jesmonite pieces. Originally used for scrap booking, journelling and card making we are using Heat Embossing to create some stunning elevated designs. Please do this at your own risk as the heat is real. I explain why in the video.
Other embossing videos I found on you tube are here .. Credit must go to those who have tried before me. Please check them out

**important Message** An artist on a Facebook Page informed me that she tried this and her Jesmonite cracked. I DID NOT have this issue however .. please know that this could happen and be safe at all times.
I wonder if the mixture was off? Or they were cold and there was a thermal shock? I hope she tried again just for peace of mind.
@@alcg3981 ohhhh I'm not sure I didn't ask if she tried again .. but that is really possible it was cold
Her Jesmonite was probably still wet.
They could have been cold or maybe her mixture had a bit too much water in it? If they weren’t completely dry all the way through, the heat gun could have caused the water inside to form cracks as it tried to evaporate
Use a embossing heat tool instead of heat gun maybe!!
Claire to stop the powder sticking to random places (static) brush the surface with some cornflour or talc. Also a little artist brush will brush off any excess and is always handy to have around when heat embossing. I love the magic that happens when it starts turning from powder to liquid. Defo hold the heat tool back a bit and don't wiggle it about. Hold it still and then once it starts turning move it slowly along.
I love the silver, purple and silver were my wedding colors
I remember the flocked colouring pictures! I was born in 1979.
Tip from a veteran stamper, if you have a mortar & pestle, grind the powder to a finer powder for more detailed images . Heat up heat gun before moving to powder. 🇦🇺😀
My favorite color is green and purple. 💚💜💚💜
Beautiful work. I stop static electricity clinging by very lightly wiping thing with a clothes dryer sheet. ❤
I believe you are referring to velvet paintings (here in Canada)...black velvet background with bright colors for the image around the 70's...Thank you for your 💕content...keep on crafting...💕Cheers
Velvet Elvis paintings. Or The Virgin Mary.
Just discovered your channel Claire and I'm addicted. Watching so many videos my head is spinning from all the ideas.. this is another great one but I also want to say that I ❤ the colour of your nail polish.
You did a great job! Thank you for teaching me how to emboss on Jesmonite 😊 and how to emboss in general.
Very pretty. Here's an idea. You could paint or use resin in between some of the outlines.
Periwinkle!! Adding the red made periwinkle 😊
Doodle art. Some pictures came flocked with velvet. At some dollar stores here in Canada you can still find them. Claire these are absolutely gorgeous 😍
Somebody may have already said this but use an embossing gun instead of a heatgun you don't need that much heat 💙
Gorgeous. Love the purple 💜
WOW, Those are all so gorgeous.
I just started working with resin and have am wondered about using my Stampin Up products with it. Thanks for sharing
Claire, you are such a delight to watch.
Hi Claire love these 😍 very cool , love the purple 💜, omg I remember thoes pictures from the 80s, thanks for sharing ❤❤❤ xxx
I've embossed over cured resin many times. It is very cool for trees on Christmas ornaments.
Love these! The bales matching is meant to be 💜💜💜
Hi Claire.. I am in South Africa, Knysna (The Art Affaire) and I mainly focus on Jesmonite Jewelry.. Not like these you just made. Love to follow you and those are absolutely stunning! lovely. Thank you for all your fantastic videos! Love watching you, always so exiting when you present your work.
The bird is my favorite pendant that you used with the embossing powder 🎉
OMG yes i remember flock for sure !!! i was a teenager back then. These turned out gorgeous !!. I hope you didnt burn yourself to much that caused you to have blisters !!
I have not used Jesmonite, but the black ones are my favorite !❤
I had no idea this was possible! I too have tons of stamps and embossing powders from doing cards, and I’m excited to try this! They’re all so pretty 😍
These turned out gorgeous!! 😍🫶🏼
LOVE the purple!!!
These are fab and I'm going to try this. I think the silver will look amazing against a darker background.
Adorable pendants..I love them ❤😊
They look so beautiful ❤
In the US, we called the flocked posters fuzzy posters.
Claire these are lovely, I’ve done embossing when card making with my mum years ago.will have to find it all.
Fine Versa ink is good for small detail
I remember flock materials for making Evening Dresses x
Oh I remember those!! I did a Horse design.
You can still buy them lol you got them in the 80s 😂i remember being on my honeymoon i coloured them 😂love your videos xx
That flocked coloring pages are still a thing… so funny that you mention those I remember I loved those!!
Think of all the different pendants or coasters even u could try with different colors, marble designs and such. I'm sure if anyone was going to come up with ideas, its you!!! 😃😃💜💜
Love watching u!
I'm in the U.S. so we only have JDiction's ResinCrete which I've been doing but just don't know what to use for a sealer and there's not many vids on it yet. I've tried ModPodge glue and Sculpey but both left streaks, which luckily I could wet sand off when I thought I ruined a piece. I wonder if Krylon would work well?...
Absolutely stunning! You rock Claire! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I remember buying those black velvet pictures for my girls. They came with markers as well. They were very pretty hanging on the wall in their bedroom. I've never done embossing before. It looks like something I would like to try when I get the chance. Purple is my favorite color....but I like them all, depending on my mood. You are so right about the bails....each one couldn't be more perfect for each one! Love the swirls and flowers. 🌸🍥
Awsome great to watch ans something new. Thank you ❤❤❤
I LOVE these, Clair! Appreciate you immensely for showing your process. I’ll be trying these real soon. Love them. ❤️😁👏🏻
Velvet Coloring Posters!!! ❤
I love this-yay! I wonder if I can do this on resincrete? I started off thinking I love the silver, but like you, the black is wow! I remember the flock in the 80’s along with the big poster tubes with colouring pens at Christmas time! X
Love them. I'll need to try this, thanks Claire ❤
didn’t seem like a long video Claire ! I love ❤️ these. -they’re stunning! I’m gonna have to try this. Thank you Claire for all your hard work to bring these videos to us. Thank you again
Absolutely love them😮 my favourite colour is purple I will have to give this a tray not yet tho am still new to jesminite
So beautiful and again so talented ❤
Going back a little further (aging myself 😅) black light posters! BTW these are lovely.
Wow these are beautiful ❤️. Met a lady at hobby lobby. She told me about your site so here I am. Love your enthusiasm and talent.. have you ever put a clear resin over the top when you are done?
I just love your enthusiasm! You always manage to get me up off my butt and into the craft room!!
Beautiful Claire! I love the black n purple best
Love the video Claire!!!
Love them all
These are awesome ❤ love them
beautiful results
Who Doesn't Love Purple 💜😍💜
Have a great night/day
These are so pretty Claire, especially the black! I also remember those colouring flock boards 😊
I absolutely love ❤ the purple and black it so beautiful.
Love them all 🤩but the bird one I love the best 😍 Great work Claire 👍
So cool love them 🎉
Awesome video Ive just got that mould to have a go at jewelry making
Omg the ink pads are amazing ❤
These are gorgeous, and I love the colours. Thank you for sharing. I'm so happy to hear you give In to the Lions Den a shout-out. Hopefully, she will start to get more viewings now that you have mentioned her. Great work, Claire x oh and thank you for the warning messages, I hadn't considered the potential of cracking.
Very beautiful!
YES, flocked wallpaper was “hip” in the 70’s! And 80’s was the flocked art for kids! Although I was teen & young adult in the 80’s. 😁🤣🫶🏼.
These are amazingly awesome ❤❤❤
Velvet art! I haven't heat embossed anything in forever! These look adorable.
Ooh Love these! ❤❤❤
purple and silver are my favourite colours too but I have to say the black comes out so well.. looks like brocade.. and, yes, I remember the flock colouring in too :-) xx
Yes I remember the flocked colouring sheets and you got markers to colour the unflocked spaces. I got one for my daughter with 3 cocker spaniel puppies. It's still in the house somewhere uncoloured!
Those are so cute Miss Claire😊
Love them! 🔥🔥🔥
I wondered if you could emboss on Jesmonite, fantastic results, even with the "oops" ones. They are so pretty. I do prefer the black embossed pendants, and I do remember flock. 🤫
That is amazing ❤❤😊
Those are all beautiful! My favorites are the black ones, too. I do remember those flocked coloring pages. I had a few that I did. I loved them! It's really cool that you can emboss on Jesmonite. I wish you could do that on resin, but I think the heat would ruin it.
Missed you again. That was a really cool craft. Loving the purples. The black embossing looks like velvet.
I have done stamps on my work they actually work great
Hi... Always❤ watching your projects... M from Kohima Nagaland North Eastern part of India. Will definitely try to do some projects too myself.I love your silicon moulds. Tried to buy some from mouldand shapes but the shipping charge is too expensive so i didn't😢... But i will surely try with what I get.Always ❤watching your videos.. ❤
Love them 🎉❤
Love your finger nails color ❤❤❤
So awesome
This was very inspiring 👏
Beautiful
They are so beautiful🤩 I have tried this technique and I have the same problem : with the heat the color changes. But it's really à fun technique 😊 thank you for the link to my video❤
Very beautiful
Loooooooove them ❤️❤️❤️❤️
New subbie. WOW, this was cool!! TFS! Blessings to you! ✝🕊🙏🏼💖
Thank you Claire for this , they look great . I can now do this with my powders how did you pint the writing on though , i not really get the adjist to that .xx
They look great Claire, well done again XXX if you wanted finer detail, wipe with cornflour and a brush first and just touch delicately with the stamps, the powder will be finer then. A nice wet ink like versamark is the best. The black on purple looks beautiful and I'm not usually a fan of purple 😊
Bamboo or silicone tongs to hold them would work well. Love these pendants ❤
🎉Very lovely 😊
Love these and I love purple! The first time I heat embossed I burnt my carpet 😂 can't wait to try this on jesmonite!
i remember flocked crafts. Flocked wallpaper was 1960s or 1970s
Purdyful! 😊
Oh, these are SO COOL, Claire! 😍💯 Thanks for the warning(s)! Embossing powder is such a great invention, as is Jesmonite. 😊 Wondering...would a lighter get hot enough to melt the embossing powder without overheating the Jesmonite? Maybe? I have no idea, as I don't emboss.
The purples are *gorgeous* even though it's not a color I "love", I still love looking at it. I know...I'm weird. 😅
YES, I remember the flocked wallpaper AND the coloring boards! Aging myself, here. 😁
Trying to 'stay awesome' here 😆, and we massively appreciate YOU! 💕❤💕
LOVE those pinch bails! ❤
You can still get the flocked pics from the range, they’ve like velvet x
Love it Claire. I did this last week! It came out well not as good as yours but hey that's life 😊
Love, love, love!! You always make me want to spend money on new art supplies 😂 jJust and fyi…there is something you can buy relatively cheaply called a Ceramic Fiber Thermal Insulation Board (flame retardant and heat resistant). ❤️
