Can anyone tell me why Magid, and people similar to Magid wear loose fitting t-shirts when they do Jiu jitsu? Doesnt it get in the way, wouldnt a tight rash guard be preferable? i see him usually rocking the baggy t-shirt and im wondering why. I also notice wrestlers do this with shirts/baggy sweats. Have not found the answer.
Because there’s basically no advantages to wearing a rash guard besides fashion preference. Despite the name rash guards don’t really protect you from anything. The only argument is your opponent could get there fingers caught but it’s 1/1 000 000 a flimsy shirt injures someone. Dudes wear massive gi’s and grapple World wide everyday. tons and tons of decorated grapplers like royler Gracie Leo veria werdum xande etc have worn T-shirt’s to adcc and other no gi events .. guys wore T-shirt’s throughout the 90s 2000 2010s but it’s just become slightly less popular. I guess it could help absorb sweat early on but it’s just unlikely to be of great benefit
This guy is so clever. Very impressive.
Really innovative techniques here. Will be buying the course.

Eddie Bravo already has taught most or all of this for like 15 or 20 years or something.
What he calls an "open lockdown" is called a "mini-stomp" in Eddie's 10th Planet system.
This guy is just anti-hug
