Bernardo! PLEASE make a video on Quick knee recovery from injury's from techniques like this one, we have a purple belt in our group that has popped 3 knees using this same awesome technique. Your video series are a huge contribution to the BJJ community, thank you!
It’s not likely that someone will have a quick knee recovery after the kind of injuries this technique can cause. Torn ligaments = months of recovery and possibly never getting back to normal.
As a half guard player I've been there. Simplest it to raise your underhook up to their shoulder or lower it down to their leg. But if you want to play that hip level underhook you must leave no space between your arm and side and their body. You should be stuck to their body like glue so they can't get the arm through
@@lingyanglim4706 Do you think it's a good idea for me try base my game on Kron Gracie's closed guard game. I prefer the old school stuff instead of the fancy modern techniques.
Casey Jordan I guess he has the right leg trapped so his right arm isn’t in danger, but Bernardo could attack his left arm and sit down on his right arm It’s risky for my skill level , and fitness lol that’s for sure
@@amirkazemi2517 You're missing the point though, the crux of what you're trying to do here is find the underhook on someone trying to arm weave; if they give up the arm weave to attack the kimura you have a pretty wide window to pummel your arm through since your framing (left) arm already has inside position. Since the arm weave was what was blocking what we wanted (the underhook) the whole time, if they give it up the bottom player still gets what they want. Plus it'll take them a comparatively long time to get to your arm since it's under their chest, so you should be long gone by the time they'd be able to lock it up.
Didn't you just pinned yourself by doing that? So the "wrestler" actually won. If it's not a wrestling match, then why the clickbait title? Came to see a wrestling video but just saw a 10 minute video on a commonly used grappling technique.
Kalle Pikku “how to sweep a wrestler in bjj half guard” this video breaks down how to sweep people that are either wrestlers or have a wrestling fighting style in bjj, don’t see how it’s clickbait
This Guys teaching style bores Me. He needs more precision in his method. Way better teachers on UA-cam out there. I'm not denying his skill, he complicates stuff. Danaher style simplifies, this guy complicates.

I'm super excited to read your comment.
I clap my buff hands at these comment
Bernardo, I want to see you roll with your guests, that would be super awesome!
04:03 Whoa! Bernardo's head has abs! :O
Very humbling of your part to get all the best guys and teach us in there best positions and techniques, its helping the BJJ community a lot.
I bought the half guard anthology, it was a very good investment, thanks guys!
My favourite sweep... I loved that entry
Very similar to the sweep Lucas Leites showed a few months ago. Great video! Always happy to have more half guard details!
Quality of info on this channel is amazing
That finishing detail is fantastic
Hokay guys!
Game changing details here.
I use this ALL the time....it really helps when you have guys that wanna muscle and stall. Works against all levels small details make the difference
The elbow inside the knee is such a small detail, but my gosh it makes so much difference.
The knee torque sweep is bread and butter for 1/4 half guard or beating knee cut pass.
Dang! You always got the best moves. Thank you professor

Old school Renzo Gracie detail on using the knee and hipping out counter clockwise! Great detail!
I just started watching your videos and man the deatils that I’m getting are mind blowing keep doing what you’re doing OSS
great details
Thanks !
can you make a video on eye poke ? how to deal with it and recover and avoid them ?
This is the scariest strike in BJJ/MMA, the eye poke
Leite! Great sweep. Hit variations of this all the time. Thank you sirs.
Question.
What if the guy on top uses the whizzer arm to stop the sweep???
Take his back.
Nasty sweep 🔥🔥🔥💪💪💪

3:34 you just put yourself in a crucifix position - you really gotta know what you are doing to pull this off. OSS
There is no crucifix there because you are face to face, hard to generate any type of real force on the body without being behind them

I strongly disagree. Danaher is the most pedantic instructor I have seen period. Lachlan may go over a lot in his instruction, but it is all relevant.
