No way will I ever pay that much for these. But a few bucks more than regular price I wouldn’t mind

Great video!!! Secondary market is great for selling low quality at high prices to afford purchasing high quality at lower-mid price points.

I know you are a reviewer, but I love to see that you have so many amazing whiskeys opened in your collection. I drink mine, I also trade and sell but only to have these so I can drink them. Great video as always!

Unfortunately we don't see any of these much in the UK - can get Booker's, Blantons, Old Forester, Stagg Jnr, Elijah Craig & occasionally Wellers but only the introductory level bottlings - until even those sell out! Some online stores here get a tiny Pappy allocation which is MRSP but sold by ballot to regular customers

I've used the secondary for mostly trading to get bottles I can't find or trading up, especially when you can get a good value out of some bottles like Weller.

Also have a couple of Knob Creek original 9 year left but don't know if those are sought-after. Seems like now that the 9yr has returned people would want a bottle of the old one for comparison?

I'm assuming this is just American whisky's? You should see how much Australian whisky sells for in the second hand market!

Being a movie prop collector myself, I’m no stranger to flippers. I recently got into bourbon, and was pretty shocked to see how much these rare bottles sell for. I personally hate when the opportunists rob the true enthusiasts of experiencing these beautiful bourbons, only to make a quick buck. I can certainly understand the higher price tag due to the limited availability of some items, but I think it should be done at a reasonable price. However, market demand will always set the price. So what can ya do? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Waddington's sometimes gets great bottles, but I think their commission for buyers is extremely high, extra 20% on hammer price. I haven't bid from them before.

Great subject matter and some crazy prices! So I went hunting locally today: 3 bottles of Jack Daniels single barrel from 2009, $44 each. One Macallan 12 sherry cask from Jan. 2013, $53 (I seem to recall in one of your videos saying older Mac 12 were better?). 3 bottles Weller Special Reserve $25 each. Are any of these worth it? Thanks and Cheers!!!

I think they can pull the Baker's 13 for the Four Roses SB Ltd editions. I recently traded a 2019 OFBB for the 130th edition FR and was given a choice of the FR or a 2019 GTS or OF 15. Now if they ever open the border, I can complete it and get my other Bourbon stash delivered :)

There are no Canadian whiskies flipped here for the most part as the special stuff never goes south and in many cases the best of them are still on the shelf.
The best bottles of Canadian Whisky that I traded to my US friends was the Crown Royal Cask 16 and Lot 40 cask strength 12 year. Incredible what you can get for a CR Cask 16.

I have seen blantons listed at $250.00 weller 12 over $200.00 both way over hyped and overpriced.
They're good but not great and not really worth more than retail price. Pappy way over hyped and not worth more retail.
