Cause style wise it looks like many of the shows that are displayed now a days, which makes it generic. And did u read the bible, dear lord even more cringe. @@jenisia3600 Steven Universe, Over the Garden Wall, Star Vs the forces of evil, Gravity Falls, The She-Ra reboot, most popular story-driven cartoons look way more alike than what this is supposed to be. I haven't read the Bible but it couldn't have been anything that bad the show had to be axed for it. The animation is good, personally even though I would have liked to see the Crash 4 designs get animated (possibly go in a more shounen direction like the early 2000's Sonic games) these are good designs for what the show was supposed to be, a throwback to the Goldenage of animation of classics like looneytunes, tom and jerry, etc. And this is just an animation test, whatever wrinkles that were in it could have been ironed out for the full release.

I think we should've seen this coming because a lot of video game cartoons from the 80s were cancelled due to copyright issues. Mario, Pacman, and Sonic were just lucky during the 90s
EDIT: looks like a fart joke killed the show. Somehow. At this point I blame BOTH parties. Yes, Activision AND Amazon. Activision for having a problem with a fart joke, and Amazon for not sticking to their guns a bit better.

What a shame. The talent behind the show seemed insane and I really would’ve loved to see it through to the end. The animation on display is so lively and bouncy! Hope this can possibly get uncancelled
My idea for a Crash animated series would take place between Warped and It's About Time. Would primarily center around Crash and Coco and would be similar to the Mortadelo Y Filemon shorts from Vara Estudios. At some point, Cortex, Tawna and Dingodile would also have their own respective segments.

After I watched the the crash animated series on your vid and I really liked what you said about your opinion about the crash animated series; but the character designs, eehhhh....the series animation design looks like a weird, shitty version of gravity falls to be honest with you. Unlike the classic crash bandicoot character designs, they looked very fleshed out to have an animated series of it's own (If it had one!).

It might not be that simple, They'd likely have to shift production to another studio under a whole new team of talent and rework from the start. That's if the production company is/was exclusively producing content for amazon
"Playstation Productions" is a hard thing to do because it was created to make the gaming studios more involved, and activision already had some problems with Netflix.
If the cartoon ever returns, Hulu would be a good choice.
How is it possible that Crash Bandicoot is such a suffering IP with lots of troubles and cancelled ideas?
If Crash Bandicoot actually got a cartoon I'd like to see it with the art style from Crash 4's artbook. It's a very good blend between their original style and the more 90s cartoons style, especially Dingodile and N. Tropy.
I gotta say the test animation footage looks incredible! The voice of cortex does sound a bit weird but I love it overall!

Tbh im not really a fan of the style or animation they would have gone for. Its a little TOO looney toons, whacky. I think how the characters look in Crash 4s official artwork , or the designs used in the old unused Crash 1 intro would have been better imo. Also the craziness should be dialed down juuuust a tiny bit because crash definitely isn't THAT insane.

My only problem with this footage is that Crash seems like a straight up idiot. He is goofy, but as stated by Naughty Dog and Cortex himself, he is also quite clever, sadly that aspect is rarely touched upon.

If you ask me, they should do an animated series of Crash and Spyro using the designs from the Reignited Trilogy and Its About Time. Nicholas Kole's art style is amazing that it deserves to be incorporated into an animated series.

Crazy thing is that Skylanders Academy was PROBABLY teasing to this show in first season when Crash got back to his world.

Well if Activision has skylanders on Netflix why not put a crash bandicoot cartoon on Netflix and have a contract with a cartoonist any cartoonist Australian cartoonist, British cartoonist, American cartoonist, Japanese cartoonist ect to make a crash bandicoot cartoon.

Don't concern yourself with this and here's why:
1. The "test footage" could be fake. I don't trust ANY leaks.
2. The Reddit post is gone and the comments say that the formatting on the documents they provided was questionable [ No confidential markings in the development bible]
3. Why would somebody risk their neck and career to post that on Reddit? It doesn't make sense because leaking genuine confidential documents and footage is likely to lead to legal trouble; I doubt someone would do that just to attack Activision.
4. If there were issues with the script & tone, then how did it even last a year in production?
5. The post was deleted because the troll either didn't want to be on the receiving end of the backlash or just wanted to drop the fake documents and leave.
6. The documents are dated to April 1st 2020; The cartoon never existed to begin with.
Never underestimate the lengths someone will go to to create a fake leak. This is just someone slandering Activision because it's considered cool to do so.

My anger is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
I would believe a joke can get a cartoon cancelled, shows have been axed for less. Amazon and Activision are especially petty, powerful companies so even though it blows for the staff working on the show, losing out on the effort put into the cartoon would be no big deal to the companies.

I know I am late but I just wanted to let my favourite crash creators know that over the past 3 years, I’ve been working on my animation skills and I have decided to make a crash web series based off of this show. It is in very early stages but it should be done by 2027
Before Crash escapes, theres that Crash suit guy in the japanese version. Also, u can c kong battle from NST.
Maybe the Crash Bandicoot TV show was canceled for a potential animated film that would either get a wide release in (cinema safe) theaters or will be a streaming service exclusive?
I would have LOVED a Crash Bandicoot cartoon. The voice acting felt a little off, honestly, and it did feel a little fast-paced. But those were just quick sample snippets, not final segments. It looks like it would have made an awesome Looney Toons/Rocco's Modern Life/Ren and Stimpy mix for this generation to watch; and maybe introduced some of the younger folk to the games! (Had the plot generally followed the trilogy somewhat.)
It also just sucks that more of the villains aren't getting more screentime/lore(?), I would have watched if just for that (like, how/when they were created, how they first acted when created/acted around the base with Cortex in their free time, maybe trying to "hunt" down the good guys and somehow getting thwarted in the most outlandish of ways (without the heroes even realizing they were being "hunted" or that they were even protecting themselves somehow while the villain was distracted by something else,) something like that...I dunno.) Eh, whatever, I would have watched, so I'm sad about it now...

I was a little disappointed that Crash Bandicoot TV cartoon show has been canceled in this year. 😔
But least I'm still gonna get my hands on both PlayStation 5 system and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart on PS5 until it will be released by Sony Interactive Entertainment, PlayStation Studios and Insomniac Games in this year. 🔧🤖 This one will cheer me up.
But I'm still waiting for news and rumors about a brand new spin-off game of Crash Bandicoot series: Crash PVP game on PS4 or maybe on PS5 that'll hopefully be announced and revealed by Activision in this year. 🦊🍑🎮 This one will cheer me up too.
And I'm also still waiting for news and rumors about a brand new Spyro the Dragon game which is a true direct sequel to Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon (2000) of the original trilogy of Spyro the Dragon series: "Spyro 4" on PS4 or maybe on PS5 that'll hopefully be announced and revealed by Activision in this year as well. 💎🔥🐲 That one will cheer me up as well.

As a scenarist working on my own projects, i would pay a heavy price to put my hand on the original script which took place at the launch of the video game, in the 90´s. And eventhough i’d be very strict with a potential modern new cartoon to come, this one seemed correct, as far as we’ve seen..
If there’s any petition to sign, something to get involved in, in order to save the day, i’m in.
Well... they could try for HBO Max or Hulu, but I don't wanna get my hopes up if 1 joke is enough to get a show cancelled... and it's a fart joke.. a fart joke... A. Fart. Joke.... the same kinda humor that's in Family Guy and Teen Titans Go... and Crash Bandicoot gets canned for it.... It's mind boggling.
I was gonna say "Oh this is probably Ol' Bobby Kotick's shenanigans," but I'm not sure if CEO of Activision fits the description of someone in Games and Development.
Both first and second test animations of the cancelled 2021 Crash Bandicoot cartoon remind me of a parody of the 2004 Disney animated film Teacher 's Pet :The Movie mixed with Gravity Falls and Looney Tunes shows! The main villain Dr.Cortex 's upper lip looks naked without his signature moustache and his voice doesn't match his villainous personality and our beloved Bandicoot hero Crash Bandicoot in in his unmutated form looks like a cute puppy! 😆🤗
TBH if the show creators were unwilling to listen to the game people I'm not sure I'd want this to go forward anyway. Crash 4 was fantastic and showed a true understanding of what makes a Crash Bandicoot story great. If the show was going to have a very different tone or direction, maybe this is for the best.
We need to tell Activision to stop their stupidity and make this cartoon become a real thing

Man I'm sad to hear that really, there was a one time cartoon in the naughty dog era even universal was thinking of it, but however they both have an argument as well and that idea didn't go to plan.

Netflix could still pick this up in the future
take #1: art style aside, the animation itself is not that special, but each gag and pose is well planned and leave a solid frame for the eye to process easily, which is ESSENTIAL for a cartoon of this pace.
tale #2: fantastic work on lighting and appears way more crazy and wacky, which totally works for Crash's style - however, it gets too distracting at times, like when you finally understand what happened in a shot or a scene, two more shots have already passed since then.
Lex Lang should have voiced Cortex though. Still a real shame what happened to it.
It would be great to see a Crash cartoon brought to life. I feel bad that it got cancelled, the test animations looked so cool and crazy that it just defines who Crash is, Wacky and Crazy. I hope this Cartoon gets the praise it deserves, cancelled or not.

I can only imagine that these jokes were along a similar vein to what Twinsanity began to shift the series toward on its introduction in the series in that they stressed, if not completely crossed in the case of this show, the lines of what is acceptable in the franchise. The games "humor" was not akin to crash as it had been established up until that point and really stretched, in my opinion too far, what was "acceptable" as humor in the franchise. Idk what the joke was in the show, or how offensive/non offensive, or suggestive it was, however I'm glad and consider it a win that Activision holds unwaivering standards on the integrity of the orange marsupial.
Is there much chance at this point in animation that another studio would pick it up? Seems weird to me to put in ALL that effort for them not even to agree to a pilot episode if not pilot season to see how it rolls with actual audiences...................................

I was looking forward to seeing this.
Don't concern yourself with this and here's why:
1. The "test footage" could be fake. I don't trust ANY leaks.
2. The Reddit post is gone and the comments say that the formatting on the documents they provided was questionable [ No confidential markings in the development bible]
3. Why would somebody risk their neck and career to post that on Reddit? It doesn't make sense because leaking genuine confidential documents and footage is likely to lead to legal trouble; I doubt someone would do that just to attack Activision.
4. If there were issues with the script & tone, then how did it even last a year in production?
5. The post was deleted because the troll either didn't want to be on the receiving end of the backlash or just wanted to drop the fake documents and leave.
6. The documents are dated to April 1st 2020; The cartoon never existed to begin with.
Never underestimate the lengths someone will go to to create a fake leak. This is just someone slandering Activision because it's considered cool to do so.
If they did not canceled the Crash Bandicoot cartoon then we all get to see Tawna and Coco looks beautifully
