For me, not used ones but unused ones still in the wrapper. She follows me into the bathroom a lot but I can't let her in when it's that time of the month. She'll take the tampon still in its wrapper and run away with it while I'm sitting there on the toilet. She'll do it with sanitary pads and their wrappers as well. So she's not allowed in the bathroom during that time.

If you are experienced about pets, it's not a problem. A year ago, there was a pregnant cat living in a house with 6 boys. And they didn't know a single thing about pregnancy. Neither did the cat. Because it was her first time and she was so young. I recognized she was about to give birth from the way she walked, calmly put her on a towel, helped her push out the kittens and cut their umbilical cords. While i was doing these things, her owners were freaking out and running around like "omg we are grandpas now" "Ewww is that blood?" or "did she just eat the placenta?". If you are someone like this, neutralize your cat. If you can manage to help your pet with these things, then dont.

One of my cats figured out how to open the lid to the trash can. He did it to take trash from it and throw it out for his friends. Cats are way more intelligent than many of us give them credit for. The thing is they have loads of cat toys, as well as other feline enrichment items, so I have no idea why they’re so obsessed with trash. It’s always the kitchen trash can they go after too in my case, they don’t care about the bathroom trash can luckily. I should mention that these are well taken care of cats, so there is no real reason for them to do this. Yes they’re indoor cats, but that’s because we live by a surprisingly busy road as well as a forest that is crawling with those damn feral dogs and coyotes! Basically, many cats can open things such as trash cans and cabinets, no thumbs required. These are learnt behaviors, as cats are quite observant of humans.

Just as i never let the cat on counters,because its a haxards both to cats and health. And i never leave skin creams, ointments , medicine and such,on nightstand,counters, or ANYWHERE a vat can reach. I dont allow my cats on the bath sink or any other counter either. Or table. And all i mentions, is a normal thing to know about,ehen having cats , just as one know about poisenous plants, and what food we eat,that can hurt a cat, and other important stuff. I dont like that someone are defending ignorance about cats,when it is about the people who own cats/should know better. It should be a requierment to basic knowledge when getting a cat. (Sorry about the broken english)
