Really enjoyed. I would like to see more like these from different cities/towns. My friend from there says to just rent for 1 month to year and then move to another condo to enjoy the different locations and amenities rather that straight out buying.

With the intention to live longterm and even purchase a property, it makes little sense to rent shortlease for one month. Most rental leases for expatriates in KL go from a 1 to 2 year lease with a so called expatclause (be able to leave after 1 year, in case or relocation for work or other reasons). Also pricewise a one month lease is relatively far more costly per month.

The UK couple from "Travel Beans" recently bought an old house in Italy. It's not 1 euro but they said it was "affordable". Those 1 euro houses aren't really €1 since they need a lot of renovation & you have to pay agent's commission + govt taxes. Also, buying property won't make you automatically eligible for EU residency. You can only stay in the EU/ Schengen zone for 90 out of 180 days. Buyer beware, do your due diligence.

As a full-time traveler for years and having lived overseas too . Date the place you like but don't marry it ..😊 In other words stay a renter , much cheaper and you don't have the hassles of building repairs and upgrades. Flexibility is key !
If you rent for a year or so and you really like the area then think about buying ....

Guys you need to understand. In Malaysia you don't get ANYTHING included in new units. NO ac's no fans no lights no kitchen cabinets no closets...just 4 bare walls LOL. I know, my wife and I have bought several units during the last 20 years for living and as investments. As far as secondhand units they can be worth it, but you have to be careful as to the upkeep of the condo. If they have a good management company the common areas will be kept clean if not, it'll show. So, buyer beware.

You need to provide better numbers. It would be nice to see a break down on a table. SO all fees, taxes minimum down payment monthly morgage costs. Also it would be nice to see rental yield and price appreciation in that area over the past few years. Why is the older build which would obviously have more issues be better than a new build. A tour is fine. However we need numbers. lots and lots of numbers.

Kitchen was fine in the 1st unit. Not my aesthetic taste, but I didn't see anything that wasn't usable and in good condition. Bathrooms must have been awful not to film them.
The 2nd unit was nice. I have no interest in spending $250K USD on a condo anywhere.
3rd unit had an interior designer and all furnishings were professionally staged, and none of that is included (not even the kitchen sink, toilet, not the bathroom sink, not the flooring), so it would cost much more than. It's a cement box when you receive it.

“Buying “ immovable assets in countries you don’t have blood citizenship in is risky. What happens if your Visa renewal is declined…??? it happens. The Chinese bought what was originally Freehold property & the Malay Government simply “switched” the Title to leasehold. Keep your Capital in blue chip safe havens & simply rent….it’s cheap & you can simply pack up & walk away & leave no skin in the game.

Don’t you say that every time we do a real estate video? Maybe that’s someone else. Regardless, the real estate agent chooses the properties based on several factors, but mainly it comes down to the owners who are willing to leave for several hours for a non-buyer and have their home on UA-cam. Most aren’t interested in that. And in Malaysia, a foreign buyer must spend at least 1 million ringgits or roughly $250k so there was no point in showing cheaper properties.
