@PDTV.Official "Battered Women's Shelter"?? I haven't heard that term in maybe decades and for good reason, it's outdated and offensive and you are part of the problem.
Hey we're going on a cruise in October for 7 days if you want to come please come and see where we're going okay bye
The way that woman broke down when she saw them carry away Edwin’s body was heartbreaking. Despite their traumatic circumstances, all those women and children trusted him with their lives and cared enough to remember him by name. 😔
Probably the only man they ever trusted
He helped show these women and the kids that not all men are evil and that many will protect women with their lives such as he did. I say this as face as my dad was part of an underground women's rescue that get women and kids to safety when they are in a abusive sitition. He's over 6 foot and will not hestate to knock someone out when someone hurts a woman. Also a part of what my parents did during their time with the 'underground' was offer their house to the pets of the women. as many won't leave their pets behind. My parents gave the pets a safe home until the women were able to pick them up. A few times we did end up with the pets as our own but each of those times the owner told us that they may not be able to come back for their pets which didn't mean that they did love them they just felt that they couldn't give them the best care. We did get money from the few that didn't come back for their pets every month so they did still care.
The fact that battered women shelters have to exist is infuriating
In Texas we have shelters that you won't find on Google they are top secret because of stuff like this
@@mirandapatterson5624 I can imagine most of them would be like that
When I was little, about eight, my mom took my little sister, older brother and I on a "spontaneous trip" in the middle of the night, it wasn't until much later when I was older that the house we stayed at for the week was a hidden safe house.
Last Thursday was my mom's first day at her new job, she works for them now and even got to meet the woman who answered her call and found a placement for us that night.
It's infuriating that they have to exist, yes, but we are blessed to have so many caring people who are willing to put their safety on the line for others like my family and I.
I worked in a charity shop until last year and reflected that in an ideal world, such shops wouldn't need to exist. I agree that whilst it is a tragedy that charity shops, food banks and women's shelters have to exist, be glad that they do exist to provide that desperately needed help.
What's worse is that the end bit where they immediately had placement for all the families there, especially that quickly, is COMPLETELY unbelievable. That level of resources doesn't exist
If this was real life, I would say it had to be an emergency responder or law enforcement. They are the only people besides employees that are allowed to know where the domestic violence shelters are located.
Unless someone caught wind of it. When they get you hooked up with a job sometimes things can slip out to coworkers and you just hope it doesn't come to anything if they don't know better a abuser can come to where you work if they see you and pretend to be a friend when you aren't around and ask where the person is living now it's such a scary thing now
Shots fired would give it away as well
They’re the only people allowed to know, sure. But that doesn’t mean the information can’t somehow get out to people who normally wouldn’t know. Disgusting as it is, when women run away from abusive households, you wouldn’t believe the lengths people will go to in order to track them down and bring them back, willingly or not
There have been real life cases of shelters like this and even hidden and intricate systems being infiltrated. If you want info sometimes its not hard to get sadly.
I worked at one where a dedicated group of volunteers from the local military installation who did shelter drop offs. I raised it as a risk and was told the security screening was sufficient
Though a TV show, it paints a picture that a man will die for what he believes in.
Just like you, the person who sees this, are willing to die for something even if it's wrong or right. This man could of been a real life story that no one has heard about.
To those who defend women who are battered, Thank you.
That also goes the same for women who defend men and boys who have been battered or abused
Voight must be the best bad cop with good cop higlights there has ever been. Prove me wrong 👍
U don't have to tell me i know
Voight's not a bad cop. He's a good cop, who is willing to do what is necessary, even if it means breaking some rules.
@@specialk9424False arrests and illegal battery are definitely bad lol.
@Alex-cw1ph False arrests can be justified under the Good Faith doctrine, but yeah, I agree with you on the whole assault and battery thing.
@@specialk9424 BS. What he did to Matt Casey and his fiance was beyond messed up and nowhere near necessary - definitely bad cop territory. Thank goodness Antonio got Voight arrested for it because Voight came way too close to killing Matt and Hallie.
whatever he was protected he died doing it, then you hear little children scream.......
?
Sound this out
That part broke me, to think his job was protecting all those women and children he did protect them as the police came and they had to run away, even if he died he did protect them
To me, it seems like Edwin was the closest thing those women and children had to a loving patriarch; the only man they ever trusted
I miss this cast so much 😢
Is anyone going to talk about how Antoine just pick up the little girl and cared her for a good minute
I'm guessing whoever did this took one of the women was her psychopathic ex.
I’m still mad they ditched the Escalade 🤣
It's true to life. All women want is to feel safe & have a happy family & some male dirt bags wanna steal it from them
Don’t blame all men there’s bad women too
There are still plenty of good men who would fight for women
@@joewhitehead3 Amen true
@@joewhitehead3 Like Edwin, Edwin died fighting for them.
So a bunch of man-haters got what they deserved….
I love this cast so much 😍
Is no place safe? What is WRONG WITH PEOPLE?
Safety is always an illusion, the only place that's safe is a place you actively make safe, usually with weapons and the will to use them.
I remember this episode good stuff👍🏽
Please tell me they caught the guy who did this. And Voight was the first to find them.
OK question was the dead guy with the shotgun the shooter or was he trying to protect the women?
He was a security guard, not the shooter
Yes he died trying to save women and girls and boys babies.
I just have one problem with the Chicago series. That the sounds are always 10 times louder then the talking.
Please, fi you make a show like this have them at the same volume. Much easier for adjusting the volume to your ears.
I totally agree with you 👍💯 I'm hard of hearing and wearing 2 hearing Aides. 🦻🦻 Closed Capst sometimes doesn't work.
The woman who was shot, did she survive?
Yes
@@joewhitehead3 Thank you, for letting me know and I’m glad she survived.
@@sjanimations09 its a show but ok
No she was on the beach died of sunburn 🥵 and too much playing volleyball 🏐.

She should’ve asked if she had any tampons tampons have been known to be used in emergency situations to literally act as a means to block up and open wound and to stop bleeding… they aren’t the greatest. If you have a decent first aid kit, you might have something better maybe but it will work in a pinch.

What season is this???
Description legit says “season 3 episode 18”…..
@@comeandrekus6768 some stream sites have different numbers
For example law and order and svu have this problem.
@@peromiestiloesunico what are you galning about?
@@comeandrekus6768 some streaming services have their catalogs mix up for example in Ireland law and order special victims unit and law and order classic had their lists of episodes mix up and if you pick the first episode you get 1 show and then the next the other show.
@@peromiestiloesunico Cool story but how does that have anything to do with him asking what season it is and that litterally being in the description? He didnt ask about any specific site so regardless there is no Way of knowing what season if not 3
Ask her where where did the shooter come from?
Well I wanna know what happened or at least see who did it

Plot twist: that woman was the shooter.
Cool new pad video
Why would someone wanna shootup a women’s shelter? Who ended up being the culprit?
Idk this girls irl name but I didn’t know that she played Brooke on One Tree Hill till a couple months ago
