I'm gob-smacked as we say in England lol. The realism of the Parana is out of this world. As soon as the orange was applied to the belly the lure screamed out Parana. I'm loving the speckled silver effect, very effective. Do the lures come with the dorsal, pectoral fins? They look so effective. I have a new favourite and more than worthy of BIG THUMBS UP ALL DAY LONG 👍😷👍🏴 Take care my friend til next time 👍😷👍🏴
Thank you so much my friend! This one is too one of my most realistic creations, but a lot is thanks too the blank itself too. The fins come with the lure, but you need a ton of super glue to secure them or they will come of very easily :D Also saw a tip from Rich Pardy here in the comments that he carved out the openings more so that they would fit better, that combined with super glue will probably solve the problem 👍😄 But even without the fins it swims amazing! Take care my friend and thanks again!
Really nice affect you have demonstrated there, well done! I think you could do the same thing with a reduced acrylic airbrush paint. With the added benefit that one the Acrylic dies it tends not to re-wet the under layers. Thanks for sharing, great video!
Thank you so much! That is indeed correct, the only down part with some transparent acrylics in that case is that they are low in pigment for a wash and then you end doing 15 layers before finally achieving the effect. But as you say, they do not reactivate and that makes things easier! Semi-opaques might work better then most transparents for this.
i love this, wannes. the dry brush technique is the hidden gem in this one. i think it's a thoroughly under-appreciated painting technique with lures. really well done!
Thank you so much Doug! I only started using this technique recently but it indeed really pays off, just need to practice a little more with the paint ratios on the brush, too much is never good when dry brushing but I tend to be inpatient sometimes haha 😄
Yeah I had the same problem with the fins. I had to use a dremel to cut the openings out more so the fins would fit better but I'm not real confident they are gonna stay in very long.
@@garyhall4542 I haven't had a chance to try mine because it's iced over here but I will have to go with just the tail too because no way those other fins are staying on, thanks!!
I love this blank too! I used a lot of super glue and they seem to hold pretty nice, Ofcourse we will see after a few fish if those fins on the body are still there. The tail and fins on the side are definitely going to stay, glued those on very well and to the entire body. The other 2 on the back and the analfin we will have to see, I cant pull them off myself and thats a good sign. Just use a lot of super glue, and even apply a little extra glue with a toothpick so it sticks to the body and not only the carved out area 👍 But indeed even without the fins, it is an awesome bait!
Great suggestion and thank you! A nice silvery sea bream would be nice too, I will see what I can do and maybe make a nice instructional video about it 👍😄
Full of detail and info as usual. Thanks a lot.
Thank you so much my friend! Really appreciate your comment!

I got those blanks, they paint lovely, but those fins are a nightmare to get on and they come off to easy. The blank swims brilliantly 👍

Awesome job!!! Very nice realistic lure and awesome job on the studio upgrade as well. Keep up the great work my friend.
Thank you so much! Always appreciate your comment my friend! 🙏😃
Very well done...layered colors = very realistic color pattern !!!
Thank you so much my friend! 🙏
What clear coat did you use
For swimbaits I like to use a 2K automotive clear coat, quick and easy and not messing with the joints 😄
Great video. Nice colors. Your techniques are superb
Thank you so much!
Awesome! I thought from thumbnail it was bream. But definitely see the Piranha.
So how bout a realistic bream with this lure?
Great suggestion and thank you! A nice silvery sea bream would be nice too, I will see what I can do and maybe make a nice instructional video about it 👍😄
My man!!
