andrea dagdag actually this is more of a kona/captain cook lifestyle. I've loved in Hilo all my life and it's totally different. Living in town is much more normal and civilized. I go camping and have camped at almost every place in this video that is allowed to camp so that part is accurate. Kona side is definitely more focused towards tourism

Great video John. My family just moved off the Island after 11yrs and I've played tourist twice this year after month long visits for the last 11yrs.
The only advice I've given people over the years is that if you don't relax and play in island time or you'll miss out on the best parts of Hawaii.

I'm finally starting to look at property in Hawaii again and originally set on Kauai. But there are literally no house property available there for sale, only condos with high hoa fees. But there are tons of listings on the Big Islands and seems much more affordable compared to the other islands. Might have to consider Big Island now. Anyone know if there are tons of nice roads to drive there, or an AWD is required?

I used to live in captain cook but it’s so expensive we really want to move back cus we have family there and that’s my home at heart but I want to go back that’s why I have been looking it up on how to move there
