It 's a pleasure to find some of the old comedians on you tube.When comedy was funny,not just monologues and swearing, as now.Can't watch it.Funniest equivalent nowadays is Peter Kay who is excellent.Obsarvational comedy,like Billy Connnolly another genius with a different view on life. Of the old timers i loved Dave Allen, Jim Davidson, Bobby Davro, Bernard Manning,Charlie Williams, the unsurpassable Sir Ken Dodd.Jimmy Tarbuck,Stan Boardman, Freddie Starr, Frank Carson, Tommy Cooper, so many clever, naturally funny men.Sadly missed most of them.
Sooo pleased I found this channel ✨Brilliant memories when I was a wee nipper in the early ‘70’s watching and laughing my face off with these tremendously talented comedians 🤣🤣🤣 😂😂😂 No swearing, insults, just great sharp wit 👍 Remember the different coloured microphones ! Stan Boardman, Mick Miller and Frank Carson to name a few ..fantastic‼️

@@robertcooke1774 I did. I thought if I was going to comment then I should watch it. It wasn't funny. They were all very similar and a lot of them were still telling Irish jokes. Personally I'd swap some swearing for the racism any day but some people think it's funny to still laugh at the Irish.

Just pure gold,this is what comedians should be like. Genuinely funny,not scared of upsetting anyone because they are just jokes! Simpler times,happier times. We will never see the likes of these guys again.

After the late 90s comedy went pc these were great shows now 85 rolling about laughing 😂😂😂😂 I watch comedy channels I'm lost no laughing comedy back to this funny bring back great memories thanks

This was when comedy was funny and not just swearing like todays misfits have to sink to. Those were indeed the days when you KNEW when to laugh plus as perfumer's they and charisma and not doing it to annoy ...

@@RobCharles The fear I dread is hearing a so-called ‘comic’ explaining that he/she ‘thought they would give comedy a try’ whereupon bricklaying might be best for them once heard. REAL comics have charisma, they are born not off a conveyor belt like today’s efforts - I once went to a so-called ‘comedy nite’ and of the five - or was it six? - ‘comics’ I laughed or smiled once or twice before the four letter stuff started off because we might not have been paying attention possibly but the once or twice this was a good batting average as some got up and left half way through. But as Bernard Manning once said: ‘If it’s funny, people will laugh but its knowing how to tell a gag not kill it’

@@RobCharles Sitcoms - I mean American ones always did that. I think UK ones always had a real studio audience. If stand ups have fake laughter that's just cheating. I realised when there was lockdown and BBC radio had comedy shows without audiences how unfunny most modern comedians are.

@@RobCharles he was well thought of in my neck of the woods, they had a tribute concert for him when he passed, Ian 'sludge' Lees doing the honours, also passed now. Great comedy talent from the black country and surrounding areas
@@bonkeydollocks1879 I never met Ronnie but I spent an evening drinking & talking to Ian ‘Sludge’ Lees at the Airport Hotel in Wilmslow in the 1990s. Another great comedian gone.
