For anyone that cares to know: I started reading The Twenty-Something Treatment today and I’m about a third of the way through. I love it so far! So insightful and so compassionate. Meg hit this one outta the park.
beautiful. I needed to hear this. I love spirituality and science together and I really enjoyed her perspective. Will definitely try to relax and start meditating over being more at ease with how my life is at the end of the 20s. Thank you Erin for putting out quality content. You're a genius
Some really interesting points, but there were a few thins that stuck out to me… which were the impacts of injury, infertility, and significant diagnoses. This idea that older people are just happier with their lives because they’ve ’figured it out’ ignores the experiences of many. As someone in my 30s, in my inner circle of friends, we have one couple who were involved in a severe car accident resulting in spinal injuries & so carrying a pregnancy & raising a baby was potentially life-threatening to the mum, another couple who couldn’t conceive due to premature ovarian failure (even donor IVF proved unsuccessful), another couple grappled with bipolar diagnosis in their 30s, cancer treatments, many, many IVF stories, and of course, amazing humans who struggled to find a life partner even in their 30s. All of these things were hugely impactful to life trajectories, and only reared their ugly heads between ages 28-35. I get that this video was based on generalisations, but I’d have thought that a psychologist with a PHD might’ve had more insight into some (seemingly, based on my experience) common issues that ‘young people’ face…
I need advice I just hired at 66k salary after being unemployed due to a layoff. They were lackluster of the new hire process but emphasized I’m salaried I need to work on a project over the weekend does that mean i can still get paid for the additional hours work. Should I ask or be grateful
I might not be the right person to answer this, if your country laws says weekends off and yet you do, then ask, or if your job description didn't say it ask! Regardless of both ask, the worst u can hear is no, atleast it won't be ur regret of what if they had said an yes?....i hope they say a yes to you, take care friend❤
