Erin, i work in sales and i missed my quaterly target by 7.5% because i was on vacation for 2 weeks. And if i dont improve this quarter i will be terminated. How do i explain that rhe pressure put on me this quarter is unfair and im so stressed out right now and worried about burnout. Im a single mother and need this job but also want to be assertive. The company culture at work says they encouragebus to take holidays but i feel punished!
I've had a huge feeling of no time passing since 2019, and when Dr. Judith said not remembering things is a trauma response I spontaneously started crying!
I applied to soooo many scholarships. Had good grades. Got none of them. I am paying off student loans. Luckily I was smart and went to community College first. Didn't live in dorms. Had a full time job. So my loans went to school, not really living.
Little disclaimer: Anhedonia (Ανηδονία) is actually a Greek, not a Latin word!!! As the incredible Dr. Judith Joseph explained, means lack of pleasure ! Thank you for this excellent discussion ❤
Dr. Judith mentioned that some content out there is better than others -- does she have any recommendations on specific creators, channels, organizations, etc. who she feels responsibly provides accurate information about psychiatry/psychology (particularly abnormal psych) for non-mental health professionals?
ERIN! I love you. In your interviews you should try and avoid making noises when your guest is talking. It’s fairly distracting for the viewer. It’s one thing from college that stuck with me… interviewing is so tough cause you basically cannot be an active listener like we would in normal conversation.
I don't buy it when she says she got through eleven years of school because of random scholarships. I feel like it's easier to acknowledge the hardship of being an immigrant and encountering systematic racism as a black woman, but it seems harder to acknowledge the privilege of having enough familial wealth to attend school full time for eleven years.
