We’re all on a watch list now thanks UA-cam 😊
How many baffles do I need for a 3 D cell maglite tube, your help would be greatly appreciated,
Great video, you answered all my question, I hope you do a 9mm build.
I see how you are making this with all the material you have such as freeze plugs etc. I went to the site where you brought all this stuff for this. I would like to know what size are the threaded plug and the other end is. On the website Sdtactical they show the end plugs D size? ,b size end plugs and what size hole so what I am asking could you just make list of supplies needed from SD tactical make this or does this come in a kit from sd tactical.I know you have to drill a hole in the freeze plugs
Hi, very good work shown in this video, I would like to know, what are the measurements of the cameras and the 11 spacers and the tube used in this video, it seems that the first camera is about 1 3/4 inch, but the diameter? already thanks.
Did you use a 1/4 drill bit for your bullet path holes
Is the outside and inside (freeze plugs) both aluminum? If not which parts are steel?
When he started counting baffles I thought I had accidentally clicked on reruns of sesame street :-) 1 baffle ha ha ha, 2 baffles ha ha ha............... Where's Big Bird........................ there he is............+ Bang Ha Ha Ha............
What size are the freeze plugs. Ive got a d-cell and teo end caps. The freeze plugs i ordered are too small. Also what size die should i use? I'm not making a suppressor I'm just doing a cleaning system had an assortment of brushes and things like that from all kinds of different cleaning kits bought myself a little pouch and figured I'd just throw a solvent trap in there for the hell of it. I'm making this on a 9 mm Hi-Point so I got to thread the barrel myself. That's the real purpose of all this for me Just to learn how to do a thread. If anybody can give me some advice on this it'd be appreciated This is my first time actually threading my own barrel.
How about shooting/sound- test... that would be great and another try with the freeze plugs put in the different way...?!?! Greetings from Zürich.
So what size drill bit did you use on the holes the projectile comes through
lol the bullet it’s self is a reference point make it alittle bigger I would guess. Google
It and confirm it
thanks for the Video...
one question okay maybe 2
why did you drill the holes all the way through the end cap?
does it make it quieter ?
I just got my stamp back and putting mine together and looking for ward to getting my can to sound as good as yours...
Robert Dunn
I have seen commercial ones & form1's like that. Also the end cap was only 1/8" thick. I needed hole for tool I made. I believe I did start shooting it wet (with oil in it). I think it does make the can more quite.
okay....thanks maybe ill play around with it...
I need these plugs to be .995 to fit into my tube, WHERE CAN I GET THEM?! ARGH!
@@ramohino I have to say you have the best how to videos on the subject. I wish YT didn't remove you FP making video. I watched several times 5 years ago. Is it available anywhere other than YT? Thanks for the content.
nice. I've been drilling 15/64ths for the .22lr, and --(.25in)-- for my 5.56. I've had great luck with those.
I've used rubber washers it's about as thick maybe thicker and I put fiberglass loose like string fiberglass that's in muffler I also it doesn't go on the barrel it goes maybe two inches past the barrel and uses the barrel length as the suppressor so it difficult to explain but the rubber washers fit over the barrel and also doesn't get hot so it works like a guard also but same kind of end as his that screws on but not on the barrel
U builded up with no spring behind... u could easier the recoil and less damage to the plugs/baffles. Greetings from b&t switzerland.
Hola como se llaman las 11 tapas. es para ver como y donde las puedo conceguir
lucas velez freeze plugs
The ATF is coming after freeze plugs , and flashlight tubes
Do you know what size freeze plugs for ,wix from Napa? 45mm ?
34.3
Do you have the part number or how and where did you order please ! Is this for the Napa wiz or flash light ?
34.3 is maglite
I thought the baffles are supposed to be the other way
Anyone know what size drill bit i should use to drill yhe plugs for 22 and 223 and should i do a little bit bigger towards the end or maybe the end cap
1/4 bit for a 223 size hole to the best of my knowledge. I'm researching to find how important that the holes ascend going towards the muzzle. Or could 1 just make them all 1 quarter inch throughout without consequence
@@richardnamber813 ok thanks i just dont wanna mess it up ....happy holidays
.22 caliber is measured as .224 bullet diameter, so if you can mill the holes to .225-.226 so it has clearance and doesn't ''strip'' the metal jacket like this guy in the video says it did.
Honestly hands down the most CLEAR CONCISE VIDEO ON HOW suppressors work ..
Play Responsibly
IF YOU ARE STILL CONFUSED OR DONT KNOW HOW THEY WORK AFTER THIS … YOU SHOULDNT JUMP IN THE OCEAN IF YOURE SCARED OF SHARKS 🦈 OR GETTING WET LOL
Great video, just about time y'all went to metric system. It is so much easier... 1" = 25.4.mm .750" =19mm. Etc.
How in the hell is saying “Twenty Five point Four millimeters” easier than saying “One Inch?” The imperial system has never inhibited the U.S. from doing anything! Not only that, it helped us do things no other nations could! It’s like being fat and trying to tell a skinny person how to eat.
@Ryan Same here. If you read some of the comments..all over UA-cam, you'd think that you just couldn't build anything correctly unless you used the metric system.
what would be the difference in making it for 7.62?
William Branstetter
Black one is a .30 cal.
depends are you shooting 7.62 ''Russian'' style rounds or 7.62 ''American'' the bullet diameter are different and the chamber pressures are a lot different. 7.62 Russian has a bullet diameter of .312 and American has a bullet diameter of .308 not to mention the threading is different as well AK's and their variants usually are threaded for M14x1LH thread pitch while most .308 caliber firearms are threaded 5/8-24. so to make a suppressor for a .308 or 7.62 you need a thicker stronger tube to account for higher pressures a muzzle thread that accounts for whichever your firearm has and thicker "better" baffles and an end cap that has a slightly bigger diameter than your bullet, say .313-.314 or .309-.310. (disclaimer- make sure you have a form one tax stamp approved in your hand before attempting to make a suppressor, not before applying, not while it's in the process of being approved but IN YOUR HANDS or the ATF will knock on your door with a 5-year felony that will cost you 250k in fines).
What is 285 in inches??? Is that equal to a 1/4”?? I need to know how big of a whole my inner plugs need to have for a .222lr mp15-22 rifle. And my outer caps will need a 1/2” whole for my 1/2x28 barrel? Is this all correct. I want to make sure I have the right measurements before I purchase my parts online.
.285 so about the size of a. 28cal bullet LMAO
@#1 TRACKRECORD what-a-JOKE not quarters more like dimes
WARNING: If you are building a suppressor based of comments in a youtube video... nevermind, go ahead, everything will be fine.
How is it holding up and how much shooting with 556 has been done
Over 2,000 & it works great. Use a high temp grease like anti seize lubricant. The freeze plugs will not rust at all! I use a NAPA brand.
Oh yeah and also about 5,000 rounds of .22 Lr as well
Ramo's Vids
Much appreciated
Brasil
Why did u decide to just do it so random
hole sizes for 22, 22lr, 30, 32, 9mm, 10mm etc please
7/16
@@JungleMan17767/16 inch or 7/16 of caliber?Thank you.
Why a blast chamber ?
Shawn Boudreaux it catches the majority of gases when entering the suppressor, then the baffles or in this case the freeze plugs catch the rest.
It would be good if you could talk
What is a point 556???? A gun for squirrels to shoot? That small of a gun really doesn’t sound like it needs suppressed
Isaac Collins you need to educate yourself , 5.56 will penetrate steel plates
They say, there is no such thing as stupid questions... they are just inquisitive idiots.
