*HELLBLADE 2 IS ON HIGH not VERY HIGH* When testing on 555.85, I found I was getting lower FPS. So, I reverted back to 552.44, and it was the same. However, before installing 555.85, when I was on 552.44, I was getting higher FPS. You can check my previous test video comparing 552.22 vs. 552.44 (ua-cam.com/video/w10pdkwWal4/v-deo.html). I thought Windows might be causing the issue, so I reinstalled Windows 11 cleanly, but the performance remained consistent on 552.22, 552.44, and 555.85. I also tried the RTX 3070 Ti and it's the same. I’m experiencing a 7-10 FPS drop in some games and 3-5 FPS in others. This is worse than what I previously seen on 552.22 and 552.44 before installing 555.85 on my system. Alan Wake 2 was the first game where I encountered this issue when going to 552.44 from 552.22 (you can see the FPS difference in this video - ua-cam.com/video/w10pdkwWal4/v-deo.html). However, now it’s affecting every game after installing 555.85 on my system. Please note that I haven’t included every game I tested in this video. Games like Forza Horizon 5 and Alan Wake 2 have always given similar FPS regardless of what driver version it is but not this time. I have spent my whole day trying to figure out what’s the issue, but no luck. 😔 UPDATE : Everything has been fixed now on its now, not sure how but here's the new video 555.85 vs 555.99 - ua-cam.com/video/XKbigujUXb4/v-deo.html
I would love to hear a plausible explanation lol. The only idea I have is that Nvidia might have disabled/enabled Resizable-Bar for some games. Manually force it on/off with Nvidia Profile Inspector and test again. Normally Resizable-Bar should give more FPS but there are also games where you can get less performance. Would be nice to hear if it helped you or not. You also should check your BIOS if the settings are correct (Resizable-Bar, PCI-E 4.0, etc.). On the "new" videos Horizon Forbidden West is allocating more VRAM and also uses more RAM. Something is definitely going on. Try the driver 551.86 or 537.58 and check the FPS, those drivers are the most stable even though they are a bit older.
@@samirfa5300 The Nvidia Inspector one is worth a try. And BIOS I have already checked also I went do default settings and have manually chenged the settings what they were before. Thanks. I will try inspector and report back.
@@AMGG Thats unfortunate. There could be another explanation. Did you ever install NVIDIA beta app and played around with RTX HDR? If yes, delete that app from your system and after that delete your current driver with Display Driver Uninstaller and then reinstall it again. The NVIDIA beta app has a bug. If you enable RTX HDR there is a 15-20% performance penalty. Even if you disable the RTX HDR option, the performance penalty is still there. Its a weird bug but that might be your issue.
SAME TO ME... when i play Ghost of tsushima since a week ago, its run smooth, but after i update to 555.85 its lots of stuttering/frame drop, not only ghost of tsushima, but all of my games, however the stuttering still happen when i roll back to previous driver (552.44).. but yesterday, i just change my motherboard, and install old driver (551.76) and it run smoothly... but sadly i cant play my GOT because i must update to 552.44 or above.. but im scared the frame drop happen again.
Even I was having stuttering issue with Ghost of Tsushima if you see my part 3 livestream of it but gets now fixed on its own somehow although game had received 2 small updates since then. But other games still have a loss in fps.
Power consumption is higher on the original 552.44 tests. I think it can be something related to power delivery. the power connector / adapter, pci-e slot also has a small role in power delivery, even a power phase on the GPU that no longer works correctly. There may be a problem with the latest version of windows, not necessarily with the drivers. Did you recently update the BIOS on the motherboard? even RAM latencies can slightly influence the tests.
for me, you dont have to update, once you update you never go back, even you rollback. i have similar issue (same with this video, he tell us at the start of video), it run smooth when i use 552.44, but after update, it has a lot stuttering/framdrop (unplayable), even i rollback to 552.44 the stuttreing/framedrop still happen. Idk why(?)

I don't update drivers unless a game is broke.
I tend to not fix what is already working very well.
I think the performance drop is also due to the implementation of AI on Windows
