Picture this. I'm a long haired white guy who grew up listening to mostly hard rock. Still do and I'm 60 years old. Back in 1975 I got my first "Hi-Fi" stereo. I was given 2 - 45 records. One of them was "Play That Funky Music" by Wild Cherry. The other was a song called "Are You Man Enough" by the Four Tops. From the first time I heard that song till this very day, that song has been an inspiration to me! Coming up, my life was HARD!!!! I've been in places that would give an average person heart attacks! I've been in places that made grown men kill themselves! At my deepest dark moments when I wanted to give up, this song would play in my head. This song inspired me to be more resilient, to never give up and never back down! To stand strong for what I believe in! This song inspired me to be the man I am today in many ways! I hope to meet all of the Four Tops in Heaven one day so I can share with them what this song has meant to me for 48 years now. God Bless them all! More people need to listen to it!!!!!!
