Love your videos! Me and my husband watched all your episodes! And because of you, guys, we decided to retire in Italy. Not only Italy, we fall in love with Umbria. Because of you we visited Umbria in November. Spent 5 weeks there. Felt in love even more and now we are looking for apartment or house for ourselves there. Thank you! Thank you for all inspiration sent! Happy New Year! Hope will be your neighbor soon 😁

You can drizzle balsamic vinegar on your tomatoes ten mins after they have softened during roasting process too. Tastes sooo good!

I love watching your videos, I’ve been watching the progress of your home and I just love your kitchen. I love tomatoes so that was nice to see you make some tomato soup, I’ve made a tomato soup before, but I start with a Sofrito. Thank you for sharing. And yes, it would be great. If you share some of your little trips to the markets, I’d love to see the Italian little antique markets or any kind of a market vegetable market. Even if it’s a short video, I’d be nice to see the area around where you guys live, to see how long it takes you to get to places and what’s around you what’s in your area like restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, etc.!!❤ oh, and I love your Christmas tree and don’t worry about putting it up early, I’ve already put up mine because I take care of my 97-year-old father and I never know when I’m gonna have time so I did it this week😊

Your kitchen is so beautiful! 😍. How special to have fresh olive oil from your own trees! 😮. I’m jealous. 😉
Is that baking sheet adjustable? I’ve never seen one like that before. 😮
My favorite soup to make on yucky days used to be potato soup with homemade bread. Yum! Now that we’re traveling I don’t do much cooking anymore.
We lived in Iowa for several years. Each year I would pick all the tomatoes, including the green ones, before the first frost. Then I would make green tomato bread. Oh my! It is delicious. It’s a quick, sweet bread.
I would love to see a market video and the video from the Switzerland Christmas markets!
Your tree is gorgeous! I love the memories you shared of all your ornaments. How precious.
It will be an unusual Thanksgiving this year, as we are currently in Campeche, Mexico, on the Gulf.
    Love the paintings! 😍😍😍
Your soup looked delicious! I swear I could smell it through the video. 😉
    Happy Thanksgiving from Mexico. 🦃

It was so nice to see you both again. Robert and I love tomato soup during the winter. I grow tomatoes in my poly tunnel and I also get a lot every year. We like the soup the way you make it. I will add though fresh basil and I also use a bit of sugar. The sugar rounds off the soup nicely. Actually I bought a (I dont know if you call it that in Italy) fruit mill in Italy a few years ago so sometimes I use it and that way we get a very, very velvety soup but I also use my blender sometimes. Yes please show us "your" markets - all kinds of markets. I really miss the kind of markets you have in Italy. All the best to you both and have a nice trip.

That setting on your oven is probably for convection cooking. The fan circulates the hot air and cooks the food a bit quicker. You will probably notice that things are done sooner than the recipe states. You can compensate by either cooking the recipe item for less time than called for or by lowering the temperature of the oven a bit. I have read that you can lower the temp by 25% or decrease the cooking time by 25%.

Haven't had to really deal with it yet. I exchanged mine for a Belgian one which is acceptable to Italy for a bit and Stijn has had a Belgian one since he was 18 years old so he's good too. But I think we will have some issues in about a year since we are official residents now.
