Have a petrol 2016 titanium. Only problem was ABS sensor failed at 70000 miles. I do service regularly though. Very Comfortable and 40mpg. I would buy another.
In the USA this (the Ford Escape) is a piece of 💩. Both the same 1.5 or 1.6 engines have frequent block, head gasket and turbo failures. Transmissions fail often too.
Got a17 plate Titanium X Diesel. 102,000 miles trouble free. Regularly serviced. Timing belt changed 2 weeks ago. Wish this model was still in production. When the newer model came out 4 years ago went to see about changing current car but didn’t like new model. Glad we kept this and will keep it until it starts giving trouble. At the moment it feels unbreakable.

Good to hear that it's served you well!
Had a 2.0 Diesel AWD Titanium 2019 model excellent car no problems now on a MK3 2.0 AWD Titanium even better
My mk2.5 2.0 tdci is brilliant. Has a electric hand brake that has a habit of letting itself off when started.

I heard the 1.5 is thirsty
40mpg if driven sensibly

Petrol Kuga's are dog 💩 as are the Auto Boxes, Diesel Manual 17 to 19 are the pick if you want one.
