- Kenner's Dark Knight Collection - the ultimate toy expression of 1989's BATMAN directed by Tim Burton and of course starring Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson, Kim Basinger, and Michael Gough - the greatest superhero movie of the decade, the highest grossing film of 1989, and to many, the definitive Batman film of their lives!
Starting with the Toy Biz figures in 1989, Batmania swept in both through Batman figures and the DC super heroes line, but also the bevy of Batman related merchandise available that year. But the true proof of Batman 89's staying power was when Kenner took the license from Toy Biz and one year later, in 1990, debuted their DARK KNIGHT COLLECTION: Batman, like you've never seen him before!

Kenner's Dark Knight collection was awesome. Never realized that Toybiz's figures were fragile. I remember that Toybiz Batmobile had wooden missiles and I thought that was unique

It's a beautiful collection. I'm specific to Batman 1989 but slowly enabling to resist the temptation of the dark night series.
I remember I had Joker's motorcycle where his face is on the front and had Joker and had Batman and lost them when my family moved and for awhile I was devastated because of it lol... Also the Batman Returns figures were awesome too
I remember all these in the early 90s at kbee toys! Oh man I love the newer Kenner Batmobile. I have still the toybiz vehicles and figures. Awesome video. I love Batman 89 and the returns. Keaton was awesome!

Have you since been able to track down the Skyblade Dark Knight box? I’m in Canada and got that when I was a kid. I still have all this stuff in storage with boxes. Let me know and I may be able to help out. :)
JCPenney catalog had them continuously!
Even when the stores didn't have batman I was always able to order them through JCPenney!
I refused to like them though, I was a super powers batman fan!
And toy biz was not able to compete with Kenner!
I had almost the entire line of the toy biz batman toys!
And when I compared them to my super powers ones they weren't nearly as good!
I even seen the movie the first week in theaters and loved it!
But, Batman is always blue to me!
And it drove me crazy they changed him to black!
I was a kid. I'm fine with it now!😂
Kenner also had a Joker Mobile I think they canned it but it was in a catalog I tried finding it but I could only find B.T.A.S 1 which infuriated me so I gave up.

Figure fits in well with the dark knight collection Bob was a good choice figure on TOYBIZ behalf I really wish we would have gotten that ninja Batman fault in the Alley

I'm of the few that actually prefers the toy biz vehicles Kenner Batmobile for ever reason the wheel center piece is gold while the bat symbol is black while the wheels in the Toy Biz was actually faithful to the source material also instead of the circle thing in the center firing I would've rathet had sounds for the machine guns or they light up with a push of the button Toy Biz funny enough is the only 1989 Batmobile that's a 2 seater and it came with a shield mode if I had to go by looks in Batwings I have to go with Toy Biz the Kenner Batwing was detailed to a fault which they didn't fix in the Batman Returns version (funny enough when the Batmissile came out the wheels again were gold and black) The Toy Biz Batwing look pretty much like the flim if I do put the Kenner Batwing ahead it's the features having different vehicles is awesome if it had the pincher I would say Kenner wins but sadly it doesnt and Toy Biz Batwing does Batcycle and Joker Cycle are even for me.

😂 I mean I kno I kno itsnot the same as the original lol but! lol if you kno the toy inside is the right one couldn't you reproduce the packaging for that one so you can have it there with the rest an kinda a cool story to go with it until maby someday you find a real one

Not bad
I'm 11 and when I was 9 I was at a swap meet I saw a dark knight collection crime attack batman with his cape I I knew it was rare so I got it for 5 bucks and loved it and took care of it so much and one day my annoying 6 year old cousin who was 3 at the time came over played with all my toys and he found my crime attack batman and he wanted to take home with him and by the way he would take all my toys and I told him no it's rare and he screamed and told his dad aka my uncle and my mom made me give it to him and told my uncle to bring it back next time he comes and he said he would and he came over and asked for my batman and he said when they were driving home my cousin threw it out the window and I never saw the batman toy again.
No Kenner Wayne Manor Command Center? 👎Should’ve gotten that first instead of the role play stuff. It was the best 89 Batman playset even though it came out right when Batman returns movie was released. Can’t complete collection without that playset.
If you want to be fair Toy Biz had a Batcave in fact I kind of prefer that 1 both those are super expensive so I can understand if he didn't have it hell even as a kid I only knew 1 or 2 kids who had it and they moved after knowing them for 6 months.
