Looking forward to another Assetto game, but yeah, not in a rush to play a pre release version. But Hyped for sure if the next one comes with mod support also :)
assetto corsa is great as it is, but it aged even with mods. I think it would be very nice to see wind moving trees and grass in assetto corsa 2, that would be a great detail. I am really hoping for trailer.
it hasnt aged that much, mainly the ai which hasnt improved with mods. like moving trees and grass are also in ac (idk if you meant that ac doesnt have it with mods)
asseto corsa is the only driving game where everything feels natural, the sense of speed is perfect, it's the only racing game where i didn't need the Racing line in the beginning, that is something i still find disappointing about ACC, i can't drive as consistently and smooth, it doesn't connect the same for me.
i feel the same bro ive tried so many different sims and assetto i can still come back to and it feels the best by far. u can do any driving aspect you want. and the amount of custom mods made for it is insane i love assetto

What I would love the most aswell as mod support again. Is rallying to be a feature. Rallying in ac is now massive with cars, tracks and even pacenote mods and servers. It would be so good to have all of this implemented in the standard game and then have the mods being created by the community who have already been making them for ac Plus proper gravel physics would be amazing 🤙🏻
Having both Touge and Rally in one game would make me not touch any other sim again if well implemented. Would also mean they'd have to improve physics for when the car's airborne. Only thing I'd want more is proper online.
Its not unusual these days for a game to have a fairly lengthy early release and use those that adopt at that point as thee Beta testers and to find the issues and bugs and get the game polished for its official release over what could be a very lengthy time frame. Look at games like Balders Gate 3 and COH3 both which followed that pattern. Even ACC upon initial release had quite a few issues and it took Kunos some time to get the game polished to the point that we think of that title today. I do think Aris being gone is going to be a negative effect for the community because with ACC he imparted a lot of knowledge to the players about the physics and their adjustments and operation. Also I hope that this new title and its new in house game engine will be much better and more efficiently run VR than what the unreal engine did in ACC.
I don't know what to think since i don't feel like i need a new assetto corsa, one thing I'd definitely want is maybe something like a gran turismo career mode, but that's not going to happen. I'm still excited though, ac and acc has been a huge success
We already have that with the original Assetto Corsa on Low Fuel Motorsport. If they do not implement an in game online ranking system, LFM will for sure add this to their platform
I'm convinced thar ac2 will come in late 2024 but without a mod support (atleast on release version) but they'll add that once we get bored of vanilla ac2
Honestly it could take 3 years, I don't really care. So long as they keep what's important and focus on the best physics possible with moddability and maybe more of a focus on AI and rulesets. Then it will be the best sim racing game out there. That's all that matters to me. Considering how ACC has some of the best physics you can get in a sim racer, I don't think I'll be disappointed.
The lack of Nvidia 3d Vision now days breaks my heart when i played AC and owned it almost from it's launch i only played it in Nvidia 3D Vision infact my monitor is still a 3D Vision one but Nvidia dropped driver support for the tech and almost every PC game worked in 3D some people did not get on with stereoscopic 3D i understand that but i can not forgive Nvidia for dropping driver support and leaving me with redundant 3D gear.
i think the main reason many companies dont allow mod support is simply because of the fact that their game can get torrented way easier (what companies dont get tho is their game will get torrented no matter what) i understand where they r coming from for example with assetto corsa there may be ways to get the dlc for free not saying you should ever do so because you should support kunos but that is possible and very easy due to the mod support but yes i agree we need more mod support in games
