I primarily watch landscape photography videos for the field work. That's how I get a lot of ideas for my own photography. Please continue doing what you're doing.
YT is destroying itself with the deluge of ads, so viewers will start tuning out, much like they did with cable TV and all the ads. I know that I've definitely cut back on my viewing time. BTW I enjoy all your videos, once the ads finish!
True…but, if Mads is going to make that a key part of his future videos, I strongly urge him to contact @CourtneyVictoria for some lessons in forest dance. 😂
You, Nigel and James are the three photographers that are my favorites I most eagerly await each week (or however frequently you can post). Please keep up your most excellent work!
Your videos cover everything, they're informative, entertaining, educational and a great way to immersive yourself in something deeper, you're watching an expert doing what he obviously loves. Thank you.
Please keep doing everything you are doing Mads. I watch ALL your videos ( some numerous times LOL) I learn so much from your teachings and look forward to and enjoy each vlog you create. I liked the photo with the tree included to the left best. Keep up the great work.
You work a scene as well as anybody does and seeing your settings helps put viewers alongside you in the moment. We appreciate all the effort you put into your craft. Thank you Mads.
I subscribe and I watch all of your videos. Even though I'm not into woodland photography (maybe someday?) I can always learn something from you. Never stop teaching and entertaining us.
Beautiful images Mads, full of peace and tranquility. The paths into the woods are so symbolic. I have no idea why your viewings have declined, you are the most watchable of them all (big names included). ❤❤❤
Mads, The famous NY Yankee, Yogi Berra, famously said; “When you come to the fork in the road, take it”…. lol…. Always enjoy your videos and thank you for being an excellent teacher.
Keep doing what you do, Mads - for me, landscape is everything outdoors, whether mountains, rolling hills, lochs (I'm Scottish...) and yes, trees, woods and forests! It's great to follow the variety of your photos and each genre can help my learning for other genres.
I really enjoy your "out in the field" type of videos. They are informative, you are a good teacher in terms of explaining your approach. And on top, the photos are always beautiful to look at.
Honestly Mads, You and few other photographers that do youtube have been the greatest help when it comes to learning photography, I am truly grateful I stumbled upon your channel and been since. I hope to one day be able to capture nature and landscape photography with a little more finesse
I totally agree Mads about your comments on UA-cam and landscape photography. I find it sad that all the gear videos get so many views but in field videos struggle. I refuse to turn my channel into gear review content (I'm not a pro photographer). I really enjoy your woodland videos.
Great video, Mads. I like these photo's very much because of the special moody forest in the fog and the wonderful blueish green colours. Now on my new Studio monitor. I always learn a lot from your near home field tours and your creative compositorial inventions, seeing them arise semi planned, semi accidential. It is hard work but I see you enjoy it. Thanks, Bert, your layal follower.
You are my favorite landscape photo channel. You've got my subscription whichever path you take because of how much I've learned about composition. No gear review or click bait antics could provide anything like it.
I'm a landscape photographer. I don't care for gear or how to videos. Or tips.. I just like watching other people go out and take photos when I'm not lol so this is the content that I prefer. People that prefer gear and tip videos are usually amateurs and don't even know what they like yet lol
@JasonLorette It's definitely not a bad idea if you're wanting to get some views because those types of videos get them for sure. Probably not the most enjoyable to make though.. Landscape photography has always seemed to be for the underdogs lol most people just don't get it. If you want a ton of views, you'd have to do portraits, weddings, or real estate 🤮🤣 I'd rather enjoy my time!
All your videos aregreat, and ones like this are super helpful to me. I've been in my own rut lately and got behind on watching content and getting out for photography. You are so lucky to do this full time!
I never miss your videos either it’s about gears or landscapes. Amazing how your local landscape looks similar to where I live in Canada (Quebec). It always makes me want to go outside with my equipment 😊 and shoot in nature. Patrice
I tend to miss a couple vlogs , life. But binge watch to catch up, I am subscribed, for a few years. The rut you speak of, could be folks are out using your advice? Keep doing what you do, I love your travels and wandering around finding new and photographing old compositions in new ways. It makes me look at the little bit of woods I get to wander in differently. And you witty enthusiasm is just awe-SOME!
All of these images were absolutely beautiful! My favorites would be the first one and your favorite one. Both were amazing!! But again, all of them are truly beautiful.
I loved the part after you said “ let’s go” And you put the compositions/pictures in the video really good idea!!!! I’d like to see more of that in the future if it fits the vibe of the video. Great picture of that tree framing the other trees very hard to find one that clean if ever😂😅
Mads point is a good one. His videos build up your skills in an informative way and by subscribing, you can review past videos to upskill yourself in preparation for your own shoots. Yes, I'm a convert. 😃😃😃
18:08 Mads let out his inner Ash Williams! I love to watch the Landscape Videos because these are pure inspiration for me. Especial the Danemark-Videos because your landscapes are pretty much like our northern germany woods and graslands..... Keep it up dear Mads!
Do you have a link for the new hot shoe protector? I used to have a Nikon one (the best that seemed to be an available for a Sony camera) but it came off and I lost it (ironically when I was in Denmark). I can’t see anything on the Sony site, but I might not be putting in the exactly correct search term.
please just don't try to understand the why's of how's of media platforms, it will only give you headaches. ;) just keep on going making Mad(s) video's!! I love them and am learning tons from it.
This has instantly became one of my favourite landscape photography videos of the year. I found the woodland photography most relatable and it's where my heart lies. Great photography and also very funny! Whee :)
Love your photos Mads and I also love the VT journey illustrating how you put your ideas and compositions together. Gives me ideas too. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Can’t believe Sony doesn’t supply a hot shoe cover! I use a Nikon D90 from 1900 and frozen to death and it came with one supplied! Keeps going Mads still love the channel.
1. Thank for your always enjoyable and informative work! 2. For your favorite sht: I like the 1 with the tree included on the left. 3. I bought a course from you and it was completely worth it! 😊
I like the first image from your "Plan B" location, despite the other composition being your favourite. What I like about the first image is the shape of the trees, but also the details such as the couple of bright leaves, and the wet cobwebs that are so clearly visible on that first image. These details make the image stand out more for me than the other 2 images.
Your channel was one of my biggest push to start landscape photography a few years ago. Just keep doing what you love doing! UA-cam algorithm just sucks that the inspiring on location style isn’t the sort of thing it pushes out to new audience🥲
I agree - the more gnarly one. :) Also, I love the videos you do out in the countryside. Every so often you reveal another picture and it's like opening a series of little christmas presents.
The algorithm and personal tastes of viewers will always being a moving target but personally I always favour the travel and images videos Mads. Although I enjoy hearing photographers thoughts on gear, it will always be the opportunity to see places through the eyes and the lenses of others as that what drives inspiration and creativity. Loved your preferred plan B image too and agree the added gnarliness really encapsulates the scene
You do such a good job of seeing your photo and processing them. I really do appreciate your videos. Love how you recognize the value in differing focal lengths. Really liked the adding of the photos on your way bag to plan A.
I have tried Woodland Photography and like you have said weather conditions make or break a shot. As always a very interesting video. Thank you for sharing...
Have always enjoyed and learned stuff from your videos Mads. In this video, the way you showed the photos that you got on the way to Plan B while walking back to Plan A was a brilliant idea!
I love to see you having so much fun!! Your plan B shots were superb--yes, I like the wider shot better. The other gnarly tree adds to the scene, and I like the bit more open feel of the wider view. Thanks for taking me along 😊
Your videos have made me better! I've been watching for a while now and every video is good and helpful. I also like seeing the gear as I try figure out the right gear for myself.
Mads, what a wonderful video with some awesome shots (as always). I like the first plan b. I absolutely love the way the mossy tree frames the others. WOW!
I really love how you presented your images as an overlay embedded in the landscape on your way back... That editing technique really stands out and I haven't seen it yet anywhere
My faves are field videos. I skip gear videos unless I’m actively on the hunt for some specific piece of gear. Otherwise it just makes me unhappy with what I have and can’t afford to replace. On with the true landscape photography videos!
This kind of videos are the best...going to places and figuring out composition and stuff. Who cares what's in your camera bag? :)) I just want to say, gear it's important, but there are other channels for that.
Love this trip through the forest. Including the smaller tree on the left creates a nice repetition of three background trees. I’m also enjoying the woodlands course from the 5 Day Deal. Excellent information on researching locations, weather factors and what happens on location.
What a great forest, loved your first few photos but agree with you about your favourite one, and the wide angle version. Beautiful photo , the tree in the front looks amazing
What an awesome video, Mads! Amazing, stunning, gorgeous, beautiful and all the other things, you mention so often. First class quality, blending photos in the video, all the photos on the way back to plan A on the way points you passed. And so funny, running down the hill, just to climb back up to get your gear. Or your: "Buy my e-books/". 😅 Please, keep on going. I learned so much from you, found cool locations, even found new music in one of your videos. Thank you so much! Cheers from Germany. 🇩🇪
As always, good advice throughout. What I noted is that on this shoot you could have captured all your images with the combination of the Sony 4/16-35 PZ G + the Tamron 28-200 (and cropping to extend the range of the 16-35 to about equivalent of 55-60mm when desired). By omitting the Sony 4/24-105 G and the Tamron 40-400 from your bag you'd have been schlepping 1,800 g less weight. For me this is critical. Again, I thank you for introducing me to the Tamron 28-200 a couple of years ago, best $649 (price then at B&H) I ever spend on camera gear.
Really good video today Mads. I’d enjoy it all the way through. 😁 Both funny and interesting. And yes good photos, really good. Continue your good work with on location videos and today’s format.
Your luck and place along with your enthusiasm for delivering the best photos is really an inspiration to even non-enthusiasts who don't enjoy taking landscapes! This morning, for example, found you with a deep dense fog all around and a lot of woodland photo possibilities! And each finished picture has been incredibly beautiful! Your energy and tenacity is as always commendable and obviously strikes a chord to emulate your work! The cropped one of the two photos is definitely more compelling and eye catching with the obstructive distraction cropped out but could we cropped a little less saving the roundness of the tree trunk giving a vive of naturalness of its own strength? I was in the thought a shot in the forest where the pathway has gone out of visibility and a lone figure, at least, just in the midst of translucent obscurity about to explore beyond the invisible mystery! But the by the time I'm finished seeing your amazing other shots like the green slender twig looking down the the path underneath moved my mind so much! Waiting eagerly your next expedition with same energy and enthusiasm to be so electrifying like this!
I primarily watch landscape photography videos for the field work. That's how I get a lot of ideas for my own photography. Please continue doing what you're doing.
Please keep going out into the countryside Mads. They are the ones that really please me. Thank you.
YT is destroying itself with the deluge of ads, so viewers will start tuning out, much like they did with cable TV and all the ads. I know that I've definitely cut back on my viewing time. BTW I enjoy all your videos, once the ads finish!
Watching you frolicking about the trees gives such good vibes. Thanks for sharing this!
True…but, if Mads is going to make that a key part of his future videos, I strongly urge him to contact @CourtneyVictoria for some lessons in forest dance. 😂

oh man, what a huntingly beautiful forest! 😍 loved the shots you got from it, thanks for taking us along! 🙏

Stunning work as always Mads plus I will always prefer this format of video.
Beautiful images Mads, full of peace and tranquility. The paths into the woods are so symbolic. I have no idea why your viewings have declined, you are the most watchable of them all (big names included). ❤❤❤
A great morning indeed. Gives the rest of us hope.
You are still the best at what you do by a long way. Really enjoyed this adventure Mads
Agreed👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Yes, it's a treat to watch u taking photos and talking about your process. A big fan of your channel!
Please keep being you, love your journeys and videos
The fork in the road....Which to follow.....For me....Toward the light. Light is what makes any image
You are the best, Mads. Thank you so much!
Mads, The famous NY Yankee, Yogi Berra, famously said; “When you come to the fork in the road, take it”…. lol…. Always enjoy your videos and thank you for being an excellent teacher.

I watch A LOT of photography videos and you are definitely the BEST amongst all the other landscape photographers.
19:33 HE SAID IT!!! HE SAID THE THING!!!
I really enjoy your "out in the field" type of videos. They are informative, you are a good teacher in terms of explaining your approach. And on top, the photos are always beautiful to look at.
Your enthusiasm is well founded. What a gnarly lush green treat. You are a forest master.
If folks don't like it, it sucks to be them. Keep up the good work!!
I've been laughing multiple times. "Buy my eBooks"...exactly my humor!
Epic conditions and photograhs. 👌👏👏👏
Honestly Mads, You and few other photographers that do youtube have been the greatest help when it comes to learning photography, I am truly grateful I stumbled upon your channel and been since. I hope to one day be able to capture nature and landscape photography with a little more finesse
I love to see Denmark. My grandma Rasmussen migrated from Denmark in 1890. That was a long time ago but I feel a connection
I totally agree Mads about your comments on UA-cam and landscape photography. I find it sad that all the gear videos get so many views but in field videos struggle. I refuse to turn my channel into gear review content (I'm not a pro photographer). I really enjoy your woodland videos.
It’s always a great pleasure to watch your videos Mads!
Hi Mads,I love your videos. No need to change anything👍🙂.
Cheers from Okanagan valley British Columbia 🇨🇦

(Even though I occasionally make a gear video here and there)

Thanks for the videos Mads. Always a pleasure watching you in the field.
Your images are fantastic. I look forward to seeing new videos from you.
I watch all your videos. Subscribed and happy when they come out. Keep going.

I’m Barry and I also like motorcycle videos, but also Photography. Would never send a UA-cam note in the middle of the night 😉

I don’t think it’s officially released yet, but I’ll ask my contacts at Sony :)
@@MadsPeterIversen Thanks... looking forward to it as the Nikon one is no longer available
Might be coming with the new A1 II?
please just don't try to understand the why's of how's of media platforms, it will only give you headaches. ;) just keep on going making Mad(s) video's!! I love them and am learning tons from it.
Not sure if it’s your editing but the greens in that forest are just so vibrant.
Denmark continues to amaze Mads.
Thanks for sharing again.

Sony provides a cover... but it is not as water resistant as the new one (and the Nikon one that Mads used before)
1. Thank for your always enjoyable and informative work!
2. For your favorite sht: I like the 1 with the tree included on the left.
3. I bought a course from you and it was completely worth it! 😊

Mads!!! I really like these videos . Such lovely work and very inspiring.. thank you

MADS, you can have a party all by yourself! Thank you for a wonderful video and photos. There’s always a Plan B in my bag.
Definitely the more gnarly one for the last Plan B photo. Also love Plan A!
I agree - the more gnarly one. :) Also, I love the videos you do out in the countryside. Every so often you reveal another picture and it's like opening a series of little christmas presents.

Brilliant Vlog Mads, superb editing 👍 preferred the wider image with the tree on the left included 👌
I really enjoy your out in the field videos and how you are able to find such interesting compositions. Thanks.

Wide shot/version is my preferred one of the 2 in question 🙂
What an amazing forest
Beech tree forests are in my opinion the best for woodland photography
Great video Mads 👍
Mads, what a wonderful video with some awesome shots (as always). I like the first plan b. I absolutely love the way the mossy tree frames the others. WOW!
I'm fittingly late to this video given the barry comment...
That idea to insert your photos into the walk throughs was great!
Liked the way you showed the pics on the walk back.
What an awesome looking forest, superb scenes and beautiful shots.😊
Your landscape videos are really good and informative and always appreciated. The recent course you did with Nigel is superb!
Your videos are really great - the content plus your enthusiasm are unbeatable 👍

Please, keep on going. I learned so much from you, found cool locations, even found new music in one of your videos.
Thank you so much!
Cheers from Germany. 🇩🇪
What a fun video, and what superb photos, Mads!
Amazing trees and mood in plan B. I agree with the message. Trying to start a new photography channel for me seems hopeless. 😮🙂👍
As always, good advice throughout. More of the same, please! I don't think I've missed any of your videos in years.
Great video Peter I watch many videos on landscape photography and yours are the most helpful thanks 😊
Love your landscapes! I visited Denmark this past springtime and was very surprised by the beauty I discovered!
Really good video today Mads.
I’d enjoy it all the way through. 😁
Both funny and interesting.
And yes good photos, really good.
Continue your good work with on location videos and today’s format.
I thought the whole time you "wheee'd" down the hill...now you have to climb back up, lol. That forest is spectacular!
Amazing!!! The Best photografer ❤❤
Fantastic video thank you
Beautiful shots, love the slightly wider shot.
