IS IT BASICALLY A GRILLED CHEESE HAMBURGER MAYBE ITS MORE THAN THAT I DONT KNOW I JUST KNOW THE BACON ONION JAM IS FIRE THIS IS THE BURGER PATTY MELT COOKIN' SOMETHIN'
BURGER PATTY MELT INGREDIENTS
½ lb Butter
1 pk Bacon, chopped
8 Onions, chopped
½ Coke Can
½ cup Red Wine Vinegar
1-2lb Ground Beef
Whole Grain Bread
Salt
Pepper
Sharp Cheddar, shredded
Swiss Cheese
COOKING METHOD:
1. In a large pot, add and melt butter over medium heat. As the butter melts, add in chopped bacon. Let that render and crisp up.
2. Thinly slice the onions. Add half the sliced onions to the pot once the butter is melted, bacon is crisped and fond has developed on the bottom. Stir until thoroughly mixed.
3. Once mixed together, add the rest of the onions with a pinch of salt. Mix to combine.
4. As it begins to reduce, add in a splash of water and mix and stir while it begins to caramelize. Once it begins to bubble up, add in the cola and red wine vinegar then let reduce and caramelize, stirring occasionally until thickened and ready to use.
5. Form the ground beef into 6oz balls and flatten using a ziplock bag and sheet tray. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Heat the pan until hot. Add burger patties to the pan and sear both sides making sure not to fully cook through. Once the patties are seared, place them to the side.
7. Butter both slices of bread and toast in melted butter until golden brown.
8. On a sheet pan, add swiss cheese and sharp cheddar to the bottom slice of bread topped with the burger patty, bacon onion jam, more cheese, and top slice of bread.
Place in a 500F oven until the cheese is completely melted then cut and serve. - Комедії
Matty you not only inspired me to quit being a miserable dope working as a welder, quit drinking, be a line cook at a local steakhouse and above all pursue the things I love in the world (mostly gardening). It's bonkers to me that you've never done one, it's a staple menu item where I'm from.

After this episode I'm absolutely sure of what I've always suspected. This dude is a cartoon character. Its godda be for show. By the end in was fuckin annoyed by his best 5th grader impersonation. I usually dig Matty but this shit was too much, just reeked of some fake ass try hard.

I've been really getting into making caramelized onions lately and definitely trying this way next time 😤
Use a slow cooker. Easiest caramelized onions ever. Just give it a stir every few hours. It's going to be very wet at first but all the moisture will cook out.
nah man i got the real life hack for you.
Start your onions on medium. Salt. Pinch of sugar, maybe .5 to 1 teaspoons of BAKING SODA depending on volume. Your onions will caramelize way faster, and break down a bit, so when you're at that jammy phase it wont be stringy, you'll just have perfect onion jam. Tried this recently and smeared it on a good leftover roast beef sandwich.

@@livelyupmyself1 Ahh, a little raw ground beef won't hurt you as long as it's fresh. I'm Canadian myself, and I don't think you can serve rare ground beef at a restaurant. But, I think you can in the states.

@@livelyupmyself1 Raw ground meat is perfectly fine. (what do you think beef tartar is made out off ? )Just not out of the pre-packaged ground beef we buy at the supermarket. They say you have to cook it well done for safety . For ground beef produced in a suspicious place with less than optimal Hygiene practices. The problem with mass produced ground beef is that, at the fast pace they are operating in those meat transformation plants sometimes they indivertibly cut the intestines or the bladder of the animal so the meat gets contaminated with urine and feces. This is all well an good with a roast or a steak, since only the outside of the meat gets contaminated on contact, which gets cooked off. But with ground beef, the urine and feces gets mixed inside of the meat. So eating it medium-rare isn't safe. A well butchered beef by a someone taking his time and being careful that none of these hazard occurs, this well treated meat is perfectly fine eaten raw! You can grind this meat at home and be perfectly confident to cook yourself a medium-rare or rare, juicy AF burger that will never make you sick but will surely make you regret all the mediocre well-done industrial burgers you've had in the past.
