Beautiful. Inspiring story. I love the way you visualized the change of view of the barber and the little detail that at the end the text "White only" was removed from the window. Also that in the end the barber plays jazz music in the background while shaving colored people, but that he still goes for the marching music when he shaves white customers. I feel that for enrichment it is not necessary to change all your customs completely. Wich means that changing views doesn't mean that you become someone else. It's widening your perspective and heart that makes the difference. Again, very very inspiring. Congratulations.
It's called symbolism; the kind of music being played is rather symbolic. The music the man plays on his phonograph is rigid and structured, much like society and even when he has the trumpet inside his shop he resists change because he's not accustomed to it. Jazz is very free and structured differently than the music in the beginning, which was showing something about the social problems of that era. When the man gives into playing jazz he realizes he's the same as them: he's human. Symbolism.
So interesting, in Singapore when I am young and gay in the 70s, this type of music is only the rich or english spoken people. Total difficult to understand what symbolic is. However it is good to know.
All the stories ESMA make are so wholesome and sweet. They teach such good lessons, if everyone watched these I garuntee the world would be a better place and everyone would have learned to love there neighbour as themselves !

Excellent job, I love your videos, only in this one I discovered a small big mistake, 1:22 the sound you hear from the trumpet is muted when in reality the character does not have a muted trumpet, an error of the audio editor! Things that happen. Keep up the good work.
