Claire I say this sincerely but you are absolutely beautiful. I’m a younger woman but I love your channel, because you come across as such a genuinely friendly and helpful person
Hi Claire, thank you for your eye lift ideas and so much more, I had an eye lift operation 9 years ago (I am now 58), 1 week of disconfort and you can continue and you feel years younger, I had so many problems with the drooping eyelids and I was estimated to be years older because of it and felt therefore the step towards surgery. Best choice ever.(for me) cost then 700 eur. Greetings form The Netherlands.
Very happy for you can have the eye lift operation. Dr doesn’t allow me to do it because I have dry eye issue. Dr said it will worsen dry eye if I lift up my eye lids. Feeling so bad now as my droopy eye lids cover my vision so it’s not only cosmetic operation for me.
I had eye surgery 5 years ago - best thing I did - it is not too invasive, the downtime is not bad at all - I was out five days afterwards at a party. Cannot recommend it highly enough. It's a very sort procedure and all you get is a little swelling and bruising but not too bad at all. I would say go for it. My eyes still look good even after five years.
It's only just starting to become an issue for me now (at 52). I love the Venus, which I use mostly on the skin under my eyes. Need to start going above now!
It’s a great wee tool. I’ve got my mum using Bev’s Urchin around her eyes because she’s tormented with a twitch at the moment ☹️ It seems to be helping 🤞
Upneeq Eye Drops lift my lids for about 10 hours. I look so much younger with them. I get 2 days worth from one ampule. They are expensive, so I don't use them every day. I'm in the US, and I paid $200 for 45 ampules, but for me, I ampule is 2 days worth. You can get them from a dermatologist or med spa. They are a game changer!!!!!!
I think your reluctance to go under the knife is perfectly reasonable. Some people, like certain celebrities, don't research nearly enough before entrusting their beauty to someone. I'm doing more at home now, such as an using LED mask, retinol and a light HA, so that as I age it might not be so dramatic as to me desiring a facelift. If I do, however, a vertical restoration is far superior to a regular facelift. It looks by far the most natural and youthful, so that's the way I'd go. You are plenty beautiful as you are, so I hope that whatever you end up doing, you preserve your essence. Many blessings to you. ❤
Wow!! Not only do your eyes look noticeably better,, but your cheeks are fuller too! What's the secret there? You are a true definition of ageing in reverse! 🙌🏽
Oh thank you! I've improved my diet and I take a few supplements now. I use red light for 6 minutes every other day and lift weights now too so I think my skin reflects my lifestyle, but I do think skincare plays a part too.
I brought the tixel machine so I can do it on my eyelid, own face and neck once every two months for four times a year, then rest the other months. That's my plan for the next five years. I am 42 years old, have the same issue like you.
I don't blame you one bit for being cautious Clare. So many have had procedures and don't look like themselves anymore. Two friends of mine have had the surgery you speak of, and after a few years, the same condition came back albeit no as pronounced. So there are no guarentees. Take care and thank you for such wonderful content.
I'm rewatching this a day after I had my first Neogen treatment. That's another non surgical treatment you might want to look into. I think the company (Energist) that makes the Neogen machines are based in the UK so some potential guest for your channel. 😊 Lucky for me there's a med spa 10 minutes from me that offers the service. I had initially decided to do it for my eyes, both upper and lower, but opted to get my whole face done. When I saw full face I mean everything from my hairline to my collar bone. for eye lids there are able to 'zap' your lids from the edge of your eye brow down to your eye lash line. Even the tight inner corners of your eyes. Even lower ear lobes and lips, which I didn't realize they could do. I'm still less than 24 hours after the procedure but kind of exited already. I got a higher energy level treatment so my 'down' time may be a bit longer, but even now I can see the swelling is subsiding. Still somewhat swollen and quite red, but no real discomfort at this point. It felt like a sunburn immediately after the treatment but it went away in a few hours. --Dianna
I just saw a med spa not far from where I live. It is in Massachusetts and they are showing before and Afters and they are incredible! Exactly what I’m looking for! I have terrible under I hollows and a droopy eyelid!
Thanks for sharing. As a nurse who has seen the good & the bad, I always say any unnecessary surgery is a no-go for me. If it impacts vision, I think insurance might even cover it. I am blessed with similar genetics of naturally hooded eyes that did not have adequate skin integrity to withstand the trials/tribulations of life (crepey skin & much more hooded now at 46). My mom had upper blepharoplasty at 50. I much enjoy the artistry of makeup, and I have had to forego and/or alter my fun in application in order to optimize what I’ve got, so to speak. On special occasions, I will apply the eyelid “stickers” & they increase visibility of my moveable lid greatly yet hidden under my crease. I like the lace/mesh kind that you spray the one side with water before applying (over your completed makeup look).
Hi Claire..I tried botox and different devices and nothing was working in general i was happy with my skin..but my eye lids seens droopy so i went for surgery .best decision ever..after 6 years it is stiil great and i no longer have to fuzz over it.i believe surgery may only help these issues ..i had no pain and the recovery went well. I am a no fuzz person 😊..great video
That's good to hear Ann. I have had a lot of viewers say eye lift surgery was one of the best things they've done. If mine sag any further I think I'll do it because they would be hanging over my lashes again.
Hi Claire I began to have dry eyes, probably from the computer, I read castor oil is good so used it each night and it stopped it after a time. The added bonus is eyelashes growth and ourished. My eyelids began to sag and I used derma rolling and now use a longer time with microcurrent all around the area, retinaldehyde, and red light. All seems to work and eyebrows have lifted alot too. Not the same skin as in our youth though, sadly. I've also just started He Shou wu for aging and hair. It's calming and notice a big difference, especially my hair but I also think skin elasticity. I can't afford all the other things and am scared of surgery as the results don't always match the whole face.
Thank you for a great talk. Yes you do look more fresh in the recent video. As I eluded to in an earlier comment today, I’m using senolytics recently and I do like the improvements.Looking forward to your talk on that as you mentioned.
Just what I desperately need. I just got a sideway glimpse of myself in a dressing room of all places! I look forward to listening. Clair you look radiant, happy, well taken care of, well loved and happy! You are a harbinget of hope and inspiration!
Bellalift in the temples, biostimulators and prf in the face, filler in the lips. This for volume and structure support. Vertical facelift for a whole restoration of tissue placement and hevay sagginess.
I naturally have hooded eyes since birth, so this helps. I think even though it can be annoying, it might make us look younger longer, because we don't get that hollowing as easy 🤔
Hi Clare, blogger FiftyPlusBeauty has her video of her blepharoplasty surgery before and after process. Also, you are brave to have filler on your temples. Probably best to save for surgery than more filler that can migrate to other areas. I think it the surgery will enhance your face more and get rid of the ongoing eye lift issues. Best wishes to you!
Great info. I think you are quite beautiful, no surgery needed at all!!! Wondering what the difference is between retinaldehyde and retinyl palmitate? Is it the strength? Thanks for all your wonderful information you share with us.
Thank you for your kindness! Retinal is a conversion step closer to retinoic acid (the biologically active form of vit A) so it is considered faster-acting than the various forms of retinol including retinyl palmitate. My skin seems to prefer it, and I find it less irritating than either retinol or tret/retinoic acid, so I've stuck with it.
Hello from Southern California! I am 55yo and have same eyelid concerns. My husband has hereditary bags under eyes. We are both considering surgery as we have tried many products over the years and at home devices do not guarantee results. But we are still squeamish at the thought of surgery. I enjoy your channel
I hear you and feel the same. You can get small benefits with skincare and devices, but surgery is obviously going to make the biggest difference. It’s a big decision though!
Sunday mornings with Clare🎉. Good content. We’re not sick of the subject but glad you’re holding off. You look great. I remember when Renee zellweger and Liv Tyler changed their look. I liked their bedroom eyes! I too, suffer from dry eye and warned my surgeon Had upper and lower and have really gone through the wringer. So a good pause and finding the best doc is SO key. If I had the British climate vs hi desert, that might help too. Thx for being you
Hi. I stopped using it after six months and shared my final thoughts from 11.44 in this skincare round-up video. I saw a difference in my cheeks but not my upper eyelids, temples or brow area. ua-cam.com/video/7asSev0nWYs/v-deo.html
I watched another interview with B man that created this cream, and he said it takes many many months to a few years to really see a difference. I am using it right now to I do notice my lips and any of those vertical lines around them have much improved. But I bought it, mainly for my eyes hollows……. nothing much on those yet. I’m also trying to microneedle for droopy eyelids and my eye hollows.
I've been on planted-vased Quercetin for years... for immunity and allergies (severely effecting my eyes). My extreme hooded eyelids are very genetic, and they droop on a slant at the corner of the eye. I haven't seen any improvement in my eyelids from years of taking Quercetin daily... oh, I'm 68, and my optometrist will not refer for the surgery. I'm interested in trying the pen. Do you have a link? Thank you for your due diligence on all the possible solutions, Claire.
@jjkosmac For me too, heavy lids are hereditary on my Father’s side. Even as a teen my eyelids were not visible. But I have always had really runny sinuses to the point where I have been asked if I was snorting cocaine, which to me was very insulting. I’m 63 and started Quercetin about 2 months ago and THAT FIRST DAY my sinuses stopped running…within 1 hour. I cannot tell you how thrilled I was. About a week later I noticed that, at rest, my eyelids were less puffed out. I take 250 mg per day in a supplement with Same amount of Bromelain. Maybe it’s the bromelain? I hear that helps sinus problems and lung problems. Either way, that’s what I found. I could try isolating with only Quercetin to see if the same benefit happens. I went on to slowly add other similar compounds as quercetin (curcumin liposomal, Sirtuin 6 Activator, liposomal glutathione) and I’m happy with those results on the appearance of my skin. Senolytics essentially, in addition to their ability to calm mast cells and histamine production.
So glad you find my videos helpful! The skincare routine I set out in this video has definitely made a difference to the elasticity of the skin on my eyelids. ua-cam.com/video/zxpW9pq8euo/v-deo.html
Hi Clare, at 57, I have the same issue. I do like the Niod FECC for both under my eyes and on my eyelids. I sometimes get itchy eyes and now I’m wondering if it’s caused by droopy eyelids, it’s worse when I wear makeup, maybe I need to consider surgery… purely for medical reasons of course!!😉
I have opposite problem I have a loss of fat and fullness around my eyes however I do have dry eye. Do you think using the pen would make my eyes worse as far as fullness? I was hoping to use it for the dry eye but don't want to lose any more fullness / fat around my eyes.
I could never say never but the eye pen is so gentle - it's just red light with a gentle heat and sonic vibration, it's hard to imagine how it could adversely affect fat.
To be direct, I really can’t see any difference. I’m used to staring at faces and retouching them for hours, if there was something significant that you did I would’ve told you I promise. The other option that you’ve been looking into may be the way to go. Just before you do I would look into what Botox can do x
Did you think you could get the same effect by wearing glasses with a thicker frame and with a slight tint? Did you ever add the cost of all that you have used devices, creams, injections, supplements (plus possible future cosmetic surgeries ) would you reveal total of what you have spent?
I wear contacts so I wouldn't be keen to wear glasses to cover my eyes up. I'm not terribly unhappy with how they are right now as I've always had very hooded eyelids so I'm just trying to maintain them right now. I don't have any regrets around using devices, creams, injections etc because of what I do - I review these things for a living and I have learned so much by trying different approaches that I can now share with others so, to me, it's all worth the investment.
Very timely video for me just now (my eyelids have become hooded with age, and my previous efforts to keep them from getting worse suddenly quit working last spring). Thanks! I also have dry eyes, and interested in your comment that Omega-3 supplements could improve the quality of tears. Is it just Omega-3s, or is it cod liver oil specifically? By the way, I started taking a hyaluronic acid supplement this summer, and it seems to help with the dry eyes.
I don’t like much element of uncertainty around results so right now I would probably just stick with more predictable options like HA filler, possibly fat transfer.. but PRF is very interesting so I wouldn’t rule that out. I’ll try to get an expert on to discuss it in more detail.
By the way clare,i had top and bottom eye surgery at 39, 34year ago for bags,it cost £1,500 .i was ecstatic with the results, but wud like to get a wee lift again, like i said above i heard it can make dry eyes worse ,i suffer with dry eyes, not really serious, but afraid it might get worse.
I hadn't heard that before. In fact I've seen research suggesting it boosts hair growth. There is always a lot of conflicting information circulating though!
@@thehonestchannel If you Google it you will find several sources that say the irritation of topical retinols can cause brow hair loss. And that definitely seemed to be the case with me. It is supposedly reversible when you stop, but it can be hard to get the brow to grow back after so long, when you are in your 50’s, like me.
Ah, i am like you, have hooded eyes and deep set eyes, and always loved it. After all, the most beautiful women, in the world, has hooded eyes😉😜, but with aging, my eyes getting smaller. I dont have as much skin hanging, but my brow bones, are so portruded😂, so i do need to address that. Now i dont mind surgery as long, as i dont loose the shape( yes i still want to have my hooded, but young version hooded eyes) and two, i dont have to get under anesthesia, there is no way, i am going to go under anesthesia, for vanity….🤪 Have a blessed day🙏❤️
Hi Clare, hope you are well. I appreciate all of the content you share with us, and have been following you for years now. Wondering if you can help me? I bought Calecim, recommended by you & unfortunately had a reaction to the cream. There was no sample in the delivery, so I used a tiny bit behind my ear to try. The company are refusing to refund me the £140. I feel this is unfair trading with customers who are trying out a product for the first time. I can’t afford to lose that much, and have a full jar of multi-action cream that I can’t use. Would be grateful for any help you could give. Kind regards, Deborah
i guess im thinking if you are going to go through all these treatments... might as well lump the money and recovery time together and just have surgery
Yes, I definitely think the money spent on Tixel could have gone towards an eyelift, but I'm still wary of any dramatic changes. The skincare. red light and microcurrent has been and still is money well spent.
Maybe the standard is different for woman than men. I met my husband when he was 19 and he has always had hooded eyes. We have been married almost 48 years and I still love them. I had a close female family member who did have to have the surgery. It was affecting her vision, so insurance took care of that. I am definitely not against a a little makeup for enhancement, but I thought you looked very pretty without it in a couple clips I have seen. Not everyone can pull that off.😉
Your youthful ‘V’ shape to your face has really been enhanced in that before/after…Oralift? And maybe the adipeau and microcurrent. Looking hot lady ! Eye hooding is better too 😊
You’re beautiful before and after … My eyebrows have dropped like an inch I feel like I used to have eyelids now it only looks the same when I raise my eyebrow up ugh what do u do for that? U put sunscreen on your eyelids? It always runs in my contacts and burns them … my eyes look so bad from tugging on them for years bc of my vision squinting all the time … just this year I started using sunscreen religiously all day and tretnoin so I hope it helps 🤍🖤🤎🤍🖤🤎🤍🖤🤎
Thank you Marion ❤️ You could try red light and microcurrent - in combo with a good skincare routine it can help. For a more dramatic lift though you may be looking at clinical skin tightening options potentially combined with strategically placed filler if you have a good aesthetic practitioner near you. These things are very expensive though. I do use sunscreen on my upper eyelids but I don’t use moisturizer with it in the morning so it stays in place.
i had beproplasty over 2 years ago i find that cutting skin from upper eye lid brings ur eye brows lower so now feel like i need a brow lift 😕 not happy ur also awake they numb around ur eyes then laser the skin off the bruising was horrendous for me took a number off weeks to look normal so if ur considering the operation do it in summer so you can wear sunglasses wen you go outside 🕶

Senolytics essentially, in addition to their ability to calm mast cells and histamine production.
Hi Claire, love your videos! I’m wondering if you have any recommendations for crepey eyelids.
So glad you find my videos helpful! The skincare routine I set out in this video has definitely made a difference to the elasticity of the skin on my eyelids. ua-cam.com/video/zxpW9pq8euo/v-deo.html
You look great, Claire! 💕
Thank you!
I love your show. Please never stop!
I really appreciate that - thank you!
Oh of course 😁
I have opposite problem I have a loss of fat and fullness around my eyes however I do have dry eye. Do you think using the pen would make my eyes worse as far as fullness? I was hoping to use it for the dry eye but don't want to lose any more fullness / fat around my eyes.
I could never say never but the eye pen is so gentle - it's just red light with a gentle heat and sonic vibration, it's hard to imagine how it could adversely affect fat.
To be direct, I really can’t see any difference. I’m used to staring at faces and
retouching them for hours, if there was something significant that you did I
would’ve told you I promise. The other option that you’ve been looking into may
be the way to go.
Glad you found this helpful! I think fish oil is the preferred source.
Thanks!@@thehonestchannel
Out of all your research on cosmetic treatments which would you possibly do like sculptra, prf, Ellacor etc
I’d hate for my dry eyes to get worse. It’s quite the dilemma. Great price for your surgery and so glad it went well.
Retinols can also thin your eye brows. Wish I knew earlier. I now avoid my eyebrow area.
Now i dont mind surgery as long, as i dont loose the shape( yes i still want to have my hooded, but young version hooded eyes) and two, i dont have to get under anesthesia, there is no way, i am going to go under anesthesia, for vanity….🤪 Have a blessed day🙏❤️
Thanks for sharing this - sending blessings to you too!
I have a histamine intolerance so if I don't eat low histamine food my eyes puff just like your allergy photo.
I think I’m similar - more than one glass of wine and my eyes would be puffy.
Kind regards,
Deborah
Hi Deborah. I've replied to your message on my other video. Happy to try to help
Growth factors? Do you mean in serums or creams?
The Calecim products I use are sold as both serums and creams.
@@thehonestchannel 🙂 Do you use both the serum and the cream? Or do you like the cream better?
You look great! May I know how old are you please? 🥰
Sure, I'm 50 - and thank you!
Personally, I think hooded eyes are beautiful. Think Brigitte Bardot.
I had surgery to remove skin and after 6 years I think I need again to remove, we are hooded people lol!!!
Gosh, six years is not a long time. Thank you for sharing that as it's good to keep in mind!
@@thehonestchannel Very true
Just get the upper bleph what’s the big deal?
You look great.
Thank you : )
i guess im thinking if you are going to go through all these treatments... might as well lump the money and recovery time together and just have surgery
Not everyone can pull that off.😉
🤗
They say eye surgery causes dry eyes, or makes dry eyes worse,or I would not hesitate. Myself.
The head become narrow! Head squized.
Your youthful ‘V’ shape to your face has really been enhanced in that before/after…Oralift? And maybe the adipeau and microcurrent. Looking hot lady !
Eye hooding is better too 😊
That's kind of you to say - I do think it's a mix of toning and the Oralift made a clear difference as well.
I really been wanting a red light mask!!!!
I Use mineral sunscreen on my eyes lids so it doesn’t burn
i had beproplasty over 2 years ago i find that cutting skin from upper eye lid brings ur eye brows lower so now feel like i need a brow lift 😕 not happy ur also awake they numb around ur eyes then laser the skin off the bruising was horrendous for me took a number off weeks to look normal so if ur considering the operation do it in summer so you can wear sunglasses wen you go outside 🕶
That doesn’t sound fun. Thanks for sharing your experience.
@@thehonestchannel ur wellcome 💕
