Good episode.. if you stay patient and network with the right ppl.. anything is possible. It also about the right timing as well. TODAY economy is we don't know. Is this conference 125 a day.. Question has anyone truly gotten not only info but good connection and landed a role from these conference. For the ppl that trying to get into Tech and make the money it a slow process.. I been to two conference it a good time but nothing other than that no job or serious connection came about.. but that just me..

@@blackjellybean678 well in my experience most conferences are not geared for getting hired. Sometimes you end running into a person that has pull on a team or company that can get you into a role.

Build organic relationships, work hard, don’t try to skip the grind, and find a niche.

As someone who also had to network and take an unconventional path, Rebekah’s story resonates with me. I discussion surrounding being willing to learn and grow while taking an opportunity.

@@blackjellybean678 For those trying to get into tech, it's a process for sure. I agree with you that patience, timing and networking matter. Make connections up and out. It helps to have as many people as possible that can speak to who you are and your potential. Going to a conference is not mandatory for success and also doesn't guarantee it. It's just another tool in the toolkit to leverage in support of the "field entry process." In regards to SquadCon pricing, General Admission is $100 total. That includes both conference days, the game night on the 6th and entrance to a party on the evening of the 7th.

Great interview, just goes to show that a lot of people might find opportunity in the least expected places and to always have an open mind when something presents itself.
