Constitution Hill Local Forest Management Committee, CSO Coalition for Forests, Jamaica

The Constitution Hill Local Forest Management Committee's (CHLFMC) mandate is to protect the forests of the east rural St. Andrew parish in Jamaica, including the watershed of the Dallas mountains. This work involves public education initiatives on farming and environmental protection, particularly for young people through schools. CHLFMC has joined the CSO Coalition for Forests to expand its network of farmers for training, sharing of ideas and lobbying for increased government resources to continue its work in forest protection and conservation.
