This is, for me, one the top 5 Martin Scorsese movies. De Niro, Pesci and Stone gave a great performance, the script is amazing (fantastic dialogues), perfect editing, a masterful photography with incredibles 70's/80's colors and a soundtrack filled with Rolling Stones, blues, Devo and many other top artists. 11/10.

Mean Streets: Scorsese gangsters in their youth. Goodfellas: Scorsese gangsters as young adults. Casino: Scorsese gangsters in their middle age. The Irishman: Scorsese gangsters in their twilight years.
Sharon Stone should have won an oscar for this movie! I have it on DVD still a great movie She is the main reason why I saw Casino and this movie had a killer soundtrack!
Mike August They will finally again. Martin scorsese is making the irishman for netflix. Starring; Robert de Niro, Joe Pesci, Al Pacino and Harvey Keitel!! So excited about it. Hopefully they dont disappoint me and other fans!! Maybe the last time the dreamcast of the Niro, Pesci and Pacino, playing in one movie together!
I DID. I never forgot that, either. I had gone to see a just so-so movie called, "Jade" in Fall 1995, and before that movie, the first trailer was this very trailer. Followed by trailers for Spike Lee's "Clockers", produced by Scorsese and starring Harvey Keitel, "HEAT", directed by Michael Mann and starring De Niro and Pacino, and Oliver Stone's "Nixon", with Anthony Hopkins. I was euphoric from the trailers. I really didn't care to see "Jade" anymore, LOL. But, yes, a kinda movie-historic moment when I first saw this trailer. Sadly, the movie would go on to not be that well-received when first released, but has developed a huge following over the years.
This movie is a Scorsese masterpiece. One of my all time favorites. Besides the fact that Sharon Stone was hot asf, she won a Golden Globe Award for 'Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama' and an Academy Award nomination for 'Best actress in a leading role. Also I might add, she won quite a few awards for hottest leading actress portrayed in my dreams.

Tomorrow night's selection will be The Departed, followed by Shutter island, the aviator, etc. until I see all of his movies. Can't wait to see killers of the flower moon this year.
Love this film. Just wish the bit where ace tells Nicky he knew he would “bury him” was in the final cut... can’t find it anywhere. What a scene that must of been.
*"Casino"* is One of my all-time Favorite Movies, I still watch it to this day. *"Good Fellas"* was Good also. _Nicky_ actually thought _Sam_ only existed out there because of him, but it was the other way around. They did not wack him sooner because of Sam. Nicky the short guy with the Ego found out in the end though. He was a loose cannon.

I wouldn't say underrated--underrated implies that people do not know how great it is. I think most people know that Casino is one of the best gangster films.
Not only that, cocobot, but "Casino" and "Heat" came out about two weeks apart that year. I was in heaven. Sadly, the films didn't have the massive reputation in their own time that they have now. "Casino" was seen as Scorsese and company repeating themselves less successfully. It was seen as overlong and too violent, too. "Heat" was seen by many as "nothing special", just a cops/robbers action film. Both films only did moderate box office, and got lukewarm reviews. No awards much either.
My Top 5 Favorite Scorsese films 5. Silence / Color Of Money (Can't decide which one I liked more so I put them both on number 5 ) 4. Cape Fear 3. Casino 2. Shutter Island / The Wolf Of Wall Street (Yet again can't decide ) 1.Goodfellas
