That's how it always is with these shills. Carryology is the worst when it comes to that. Props up brands they do business with, completely ignores others they don't. As a source for unbiased, objective reviews, they are the worst. And they're absorbing smaller UA-cam reviewers hoping to grow their own channel, sucking them into their machine. Look at JT.
I was actually considering this bag. But here in Singapore, 'Outdoor Life' who are the sole distributor, sold these packs yesterday at $888 SGD = $625 USD. I do not understand.
@@DesmondCheng Exactly mate. On top of that no local warranty. Gotta talk to MR directly if any problems with the pack. I am confused doesn’t MR or Carryology make sure their distributors don’t take advantage of the ‘hype’?
same price in China, and there's only a few dozen of these. total joke. I'd just wait for a knock-off a few month later, same built and same materials, at a tenth of price
Nice review. I think there's also some expandability when it comes to the top flap of the main compartment. That fidlocked strap can be lengthened if needed.
Any good pouches or things to grab to go with this bag? Also any good places to get a patch to fit the size of the velcro? Just picked one of these up for work. A little steep but it looks pretty sick and curious to try out a smaller bag
Nice review really appreciate your time and effort in showing us the new spartan , I have the original and still love it , a nice guy just sold me one in MCB can't wait to get it.(just subscribed )
Massive thanks for the review, Desy! We really do appreciate you taking the time, and putting such effort into the video production. It looks fantastic! 🙌
I honestly find it hard to comprehend why people paid the ridiculous price for this bag, the first 3 pockets looked pretty impractical as you were struggling to get even the smallest of items out of them. I'll pass on these over-hyped, slickly marketed, over-priced limited edition collaboration products. I'm a fan of Mystery Ranch's shoulder bags, and have the Big Bop, Ska & Indie which are great value for adapted EDC Fuji carry, and I'll be looking closely at the new District 8 when it hits my market as I have a feeling it could work well for the x system plus tech carry.
Well said, this takes a page from TAD’s marketing model by limiting supply and creating hype to sell pretty bags that are not very practical in real life use for $400+. A Tom Bihn synapse 19 is far more usable at half the price
Can this bag stand on its own or is there a stand that you put the bag on. Seems to be rock stable when you turned it 360 degrees. Also, since there are not vents on the padding, is it a sweat magnet?
Hey hey, so depending on the weight distribution, yes it can stand on its own! But depends on what you have in there! As for ventilation, I haven't been able to test it in hot weather nor wear it for a long period of time so I can't really say yet!
It has the same padding as the No Escape and if you're the sweaty beast, this will give you a sweaty back. I replaced the Yoke from my No Escape with Military Yoke from my ASAP and had better experience with regards to weight distribution and comfort/sweat. Hope this helps ua-cam.com/video/j5QarBL_ZVE/v-deo.html
Companies don’t send collab bags out for anyone to review 🤔. Especially since most of these bags are sold out before anyone has a chance to review them…so it’s not like your review will bring in more sales of this bag. 👀
Was gonna say the same thing. Definitely lot of family resemblance. Different but might as well be. I actually wanted something just a bit smaller for daily out and about carry so this should be perfect
@@sneakergearz have you looked into the new 16L Bullet by GoRuck? They added a laptop compartment like the ones on the GR1’s and a frame sheet. About 1/4 of the price of the “Spartanology”. That’s the one to get for my money!

@@jackchn23 I mean, I get the whole limited edition thing costing extra, but it's like you said, it "didn't feel special enough". Can the water bottle holders hold a 32 oz Nalgene/Hydroflask?
The carryology article says it will
the article says it does, but i dont have a 32oz to test unfortunately!

How would it work with a small camera setup. Like a small Fujifilm camera with a couple lenses
if you had a SMALLL camera bag, you could fit it in the bag, but not much else would fit in with it!
