I already don't have tomatoes. All the ones I planted this year, the deer got them. The ones the deer didn't get only produced very minimal. However, I still have tomatoes from last year preserved. Rice, I buy 25 pounds at a time in a bulk at a bulk food store for less than $15.00. Now, tuna. I get that at the bulk food store. However, I have noticed that the price has gone up already, but the price is up on everything. Buy fresh and can your own and it will help some. Eggs, get some chickens. You will have eggs and not have to worry about paying for them or lack of product at the store. Now you speak of olive oil. You don't need it. Use lard or save your bacon grease. Lard has saved many for decades. Get a pig. When you harvest the pig, save the fat. It will save your life. Wheat. Plan ahead. You can can all of the wheat, flour and pasta ahead of time for your stockpile and it will keep for up to 25 years when done properly. The country man will survive.
There are farmers that are paid to let their crops lay is fields . This happens in California frequently. Like most everything prices are on the rise. Tomatoes are just one of many. Should be asking the question why over 100 food processing plants have suffered catastrophic destruction. Why or who is attacking our food supply?
Looks like you had a bit too much fun with that drinking game! 😅 But on a serious note, the term 'geopolitical' is used a lot because it plays a huge role in the issues discussed. It’s not just filler-understanding how global politics impact our everyday lives is key to making informed decisions
Here in Melbourne rice is still cheap (45% below the price 12 months ago: I've laid in 300kg!) fOR FOOD AND AS AN INVESTMENT! Egg prices go up and down by the day. From about $8 per dozen down to (yesterday) $5. (Three months ago the 'average' price was between $4.60 and $3.90. (all prices listed here are at the major supermarkets; with Aldi usually the best. eg Choc-chip cookies $2 for 500 grams; HALF the going rate elsewhere: and WW no longer stocks them ~ the most recent price was $4.50. Take care out there: and go shopping WITH YOUR DOLLARS: not FROM habit.
1. There is a serious olive oil issue due to lack of water and ut is in many countries. 2. Maybe if China would stop over fishing our oceans we would not have a tuna shortage. They illegally fish in parts of our oceans that are off limits. Especially the whales! People do not want to make the effort to do gardens and maintain them.
You know it won't be. Forget health, it's very unlikely anyone is going to survive into old age. Solar Micronova will happen by 2040, the magnetic field loss has already begun to intensify. Just eat what tastes good, and embrace the spirit of FUN.
Not hard to grow tomatoes or jar. Just buy judiciously. Rice is still relatively cheap. Don't forget rescue missions and other charities for excess products you don't need.
We are being repeatedly warned including by farmers and truckers. I am grateful and have acted accordingly. You can stay stupid with your smart ass comments. Good luck with that!
Tomatoes have been pitiful this year! I buy a lot of tomatoes when they are worth buying. I don't use much rice and have some different types on hand. Where I live the potatoes and onions have been off and on as well. Canned tuna prices are through the roof, but I don't use much tuna. Eggs would definitely be a problem for me and I do live in an area of major egg suppliers. I will not miss olive oil, but I love olives! I use butter ten times as often as olive oil! I am tired of the Ukraine, the Ukrainians should be using my taxpayer dollars being spent there on irrigation! I guess I should stock up on pasta and noodles.
okay disruptions, price increases and limited availability are not the same thing as "You'll NEVER SEE AGAIN after September" . I agree the price increases are frustrating, Plus every industry I know of is having worker shortages. I also agree we need to start growing more stuff on our own and not rely so heavily on commercial farming and canning. But to label this video as NEVER SEE AGAIN is not really true, by what you are saying.
Good suggestion. Tomatoes inn the local supermarkets are often more expensive than minced beef! BUT! That only happewns because the idiotic 'shoppers' go on paying the absurd prices. (perhaps because they EXPECT prices to go up.) Boycott can work wonders; and SHOULD be easily organised via the internet!
Ongoing labor shortages!!! Really!!! It's not that... it's all because people can't pass a damn drug screen or background check. They'd rather sit on their asses and draw high all day instead of managing their lives. I'm sick and tired of being pushed by the company I work for to do the work of three people just because they can't get anyone to work.
Such gloom and doom! It makes me not want to bother getting out of bed. Have you noticed the narrators of these gloom and doom videos use words such as could, might, maybe, etc. When they KNOW FOR A FACT that these things will happen, then I will take notice. People, we should always be prepared for any emergency in good and bad times. But human nature is to put things off until the last minute and then find it is to late.
In winter, yes. But Canadian greenhouses using natural gas as a byproduct of oil production, are supplying more of our vine ripe tomato each winter. Betcha they build more greenhouses this year.
Everyone needs to be concerns with all the farm lands being taken by the government. Start planting gardens so your families are prepared!
And get involved in local barter groups

The fifth and 6th items expected to be in short supply are olive oil and wheat products
@@mariecmon That's not really a bad thing.

Price hikes for sure.
I thought these were going to be all gone in August.
Tis on you wether or not to interpret this literally or to educate self on trajectories & then prepare accordingly.
We are being repeatedly warned including by farmers and truckers. I am grateful and have acted accordingly. You can stay stupid with your smart ass comments. Good luck with that!
There’s 49 other states that grow tomatoes jeez
Good information. I keep hearing these same predicted shortages.
Warning is inform, not scare.
They stopped oil and things cost more

Tomatos are bad for you anyway. Didn't anyone of you watch the Gundry gut health infomercial?

California isn’t short of tomatoes 😂😂😂😂😂 stop already
I took a drink every time she blamed something on climate change ... only took me 7 minutes to get drunk.

Why do you scare people consatantly
EXACTLY!!!! I said that and got screamed at by others on the site!!!! This FEAR MONGERING is getting ridiculous
This report is easy going. The real trouble begins after the reset.

Normalcy bias is a real mental disorder.
