Thanks for this. I went to use my LeSabre the other day and had a big puddle of brake fluid under my car (thankfully I was safe at home when it happened). The mechanic I used in the past hasn't even come to pick my car up after a week, so I think I am sufficiently brave enough to try fixing the issue myself.
On the coldest day of winter on the day before Christmas eve when my sisters are visiting from Colorado this brake line decided it was time to rust through on my 2001 lesabre with 318,000 miles., while they were out shopping, they made it back to my house safely, fortunately i have another vehicle I can use until it goes above freezing and I can fix it. Scotty says it's ok to use compression fittings but I think I'll do it the right way, plenty of duct tape should do the trick. Merry Christmas from an icy cold New Jersey.
At least you can laugh about driving over that stand😁😂😂I need to replace my lines and I wonder if I need extra hoses that I should purchase and replace....
I saw leaking on the rear tire I believe! And plus the car was from up north so buying the car I knew I'll have problems with the lines but I didn't know that until driving it 50 feet away lol

Thank you for showing your fails and your success. Rolling over the ramps was funny…and I’ve been there. 😂
I have been going thru hell trying to find someone to fix this brake line. Thanks to this video, I'll be fixing my own car. Thank you
you're welcome and hope you get the job done.
did it work? did you die? did the neighbourhood implode?
Nice job. I know the pain. I changed all my brake lines on my Buick Park Ave!
I need to replace the lines on my 98 Riviera

Did you do double flare or bubble flare?
Those fittings are there because the last person who replaced the line, chose to not do a correct replacement
Tough job.
