guys, please release the lyrics for this album. i'm sure a ton of thought was put into them, but much of it is undecipherable from john's singing.
Please encourage them to tour.
This song is beautiful beyond words, although Mr. Arch didn't seem to have any trouble coming up with some of the most memorable and clever lyrics I've ever heard. Just brilliant musically and lyrically.
I'm loving this album. Best of 2019 so far. John and Jim both still at the top of their game musically and lyrically.

This is by far the best song I’ve heard in a long time. The video gives the music an awesome dimension. I wish Arch /Matheos would tour with an acoustic or semi-unplugged set.

This is an absolutely amazing song from the an even more Amazing CD. Well worth the purchase. Traces of early Fates Warning with a brilliance only enhanced with time. John's vocals are spot on.

John Arch is one of my favorite singers Ever since I first heard FW "Night on Brocken" back in the day..
the world is a better place because Arch/Matheos have reunited and are still creating music. We've been gifted.

My Lord this album sounds enormous! I picked it up yesterday and was immediately struck by the impeccable quality of both recording and performance! I haven't been this moved by a new record in a long time! This effort deserves highest praise. Hopefully it becomes profitable to the artists as it should!

This is easily the best metal album of the New Millennium. Pure magic. I can’t stop listening to Winter Ethereal.
Ι will only say that upon the first listen of this and Kindred Spirits, I literally started sobbing (especially with the latter).
It is far more difficult to fall in love with an album so fast and head over heels, like I did in my youth, but my God can these two pull my heartstrings and feed my brain like noone else (well ok, Ray, Quorthon and EMPEROR too 😁).
I wish at some point they would play again KIT or a similar fest with this project (and then FW would headline with another ATG celebration).
......and then I woke up😂
They gotta put some tour dates together in the states and abroad. It would be so awesome. I know the fans want it.

Gave it my best shot...never done that before but the song and imagery resonated so powerfully, I had to know what he was saying. I like this song even more now after trying to scribe the lyrics. It's a beautiful song. The words are like poetry. And the way John sings is like he's talking and reading but sung. It's a very strange way that he sings
I find. Don't get me wrong I really like his voice and he is a great singer. But I've listened to this album and I really like the music alot. But the verses he sings in the way that he sings them go on too long. It's like he's ramblin on far too long on the verses. Just to many words in a song that goes on and on and on. It's almost like it is never going to stop. It's one of the strangest ways of singing
I have ever heard. That's about the best way I can describe it. I wanted to really love this album. But I'm sorry to say his style starts annoying me after a few songs. And I really like his voice. That's sad part of it. I wish I could really like this album.😑
As always great music from Matheos. I'm just not a fan of Arch's voice. He has always sounded nasally and whinny to me. I know lots of people love him, but just not for me. I still tune in to hear Matheos music, but I can only take Arch in small doses.
It took me a few listens to get used to his voice too. It really grew on me though.
First time I heard him back in the 80's I thought, whoa that voice is different, but love the music. Let the spectre within sit in my tape deck for months and started realizing that his voice is doing just as much as Matheos' guitar. His choice of timing with harmonies and chorus are like none other out there. Takes some spins to appreciate but once you get hooked you can't get enough of it. I do find it odd that people like Robert Plant get a pass on their "whinny" voice who do much less with their vocals, but Jon always gets this disclaimer. Not a dig at you chewy as I have heard this same complaint from many people.
It isn't a matter of getting use to his voice for me. Arch isn't something new to me. I've been a fan of Fates Warning since the 80s and have all their albums. I'm not saying he is a bad singer either. He clearly has lots of range and talent. There is just something about his tone and delivery that has never worked for me.
that's my opinion on the guy from Blind Guardian. I own every album, love the music, but the vox are borderline painful. So small doses it is.
I'm not a huge fan of his voice either but I think he sings beautifully on this track.
