Aren't two first reasons actually good for the policemen themselves? The last reason is the only make sense here.

Follow your government funded training: Assess, De-escalate, Interrogate.
Number 2 could be very fatal to those bitten if they were not guilty and had a smaller frame/bone density. And number 1 might contribute to criminals shooting or attacking the dog.

@@binaryvoid0101 yeah why are they? Maybe its the pure dark eyes? But idk most large black dogs ive met have been very affectionate to me and even to random strangers. His name was raven my friends dog and he would go to strangers and headbutt the leg and get pats. So cute.❤😊
Mine is a trained service dog with hundreds of hours of professional training and is so obedient, but he has a problem. He’s obsessed with flowers. Imagine my first grocery trip as he never tried to sniff meat or cheese, and then dove head first into the flower cooler. 😂 As you can imagine, I’ve not found a solid answer from trainers, because they’ve never heard of it before. He no longer pulls, but closes his eyes to sniff while walking and smacks into whatever’s in front of him. Improvement I guess?😂

As a mailman, the scariest dogs are Rotties, German Shepherds, and Pitbulls. I know all 3 of those could easily kill me.

I own a staffy (family of pitbulls, but smaller) and the first question anyone ever asks me is "is he aggressive?" Yes he will aggressively lick your elbow off. They look scary, but they're terrific family dogs. My father in law has a pit and she's such a nanny dog. They get such a bad reputation. 😢

They will also bark and go nuts at a door knock or door bell. My Amazon drivers won’t even knock or ring the bell anymore cause all they see through the glass window is 2 100 lb shepherds barking their face off

Theirs also the potential of damage some breeds can cause compared to others.
Kinda like how some countries allow it's citizens to own small arms but not military grade weapons because of the damage potential.
That's why you're not allowed to own a tank or rocket launchers etc.
Similarly there's no reason for people to own agressive big dogs because we all know majority of people don't get dogs for protection or anything like that.
They don't even know how to handle and train them. It should require a licence cuz an agressive dog in the hands of an ediot is potential threat for other people around them.

I was working at a hospital when cops brought in a prisoner with a severe bite from rotty. Dude's right hand was so shredded, the doctor said "what the f-ck are we supposed to do here besides amputate?" I'll never forget how that dude screamed when he heard that. They did save his hand, but I heard he had a hard time wiping his ass with his left hand

My brother adopted an old Rottweiler and she was amazing. She was moments from being put down because nobody wanted her. But my brother barged in and announced that he’ll take her
She was gentle around his kids, she was a cuddler, she was like a giant gentle lapdog. She never bit anyone. She was very patient with toddlers and everything.
Rottweilers are definitely family dogs if you raise them right and or treat them right. Treat them with respect and you’ll get the results you want.
i'm really glad your brother did that for her, that's so sweet. Good grateful old girl, she got to spend the rest of her life loving and being loved

I will always own a Rottweiler... Literally walking at night with my Rottie, most people don't see him, then when they do they're freaking out! 😮... So true with being distracted! Dogs tend to catch his attention and he wants to run and play. Mostly these dogs are the best guardians, they will protect you at all cost.
Rottweilers are sweetest, most adorable dogs on the planet. I’ve got one and I stg his favorite thing to do is cuddle, and it doesn’t matter who with.

Fun fact: Rotties get their "doggy ADD" because of their incredible intelligence. They get bored with repetitive tasks very easily, so using them as tracking dogs for example is usually fun for them only at first, but if that's the only thing they'll ever do they'll get tired of it. Rottweilers have actually become more and more popular as search & rescue dogs in recent years because you can reliably train them for multiple tasks and responsibilities. They're one of the only dog breeds who can learn multiple jobs.

I had a Rottweiler. She was a gentle teddy bear. She was so careful around my kids and kids loved the big teddy bear dog. But she was very protective to. She rarely barked, but her growl alone would let us know she sensed something. She passed away at 17 years old. Still miss her to this day.

I had three really big dogs as a kid, they were all big guard dogs, but they thought they were lap dogs. A bloodhound rottweiler mix named schatten(shadow in german because it was jet black), a greyhound black lab mix named shady(an interestingly colored dog that had a gradient from black in the back to silver up front, she saved my brother from suffocating by bitting my father in the hand until he woke up.) and a St Bernard Newfoundland mix named donner(thunder in german, his bark rattled your chest, but he was such a sweetheart.) R.I.P. they were some of the best dogs I have had in my life.
I had this huge russian wolf dog. Near enough 5 feet tall. Never let me out of his sight. He even saved me from a mugging one time. Rest In peace Saxon. You died a warriors death

Rottweilers are most effective in specific home environment scenarios dealing with various subjects. If you have about 4 or more people in a room they are good at determining specifically who needs cuddles the most in that moment so they can clear space on the couch and administer emotional support

We have a boxer dog (male) who is the sweetest lil' guy ever. He loves oat biscuits, gets excited to go to his grandmas house, loves a massage gun, and he will protect kids. The only downside is that he is afraid of our 13 week old kitten.

A friend of mine has 3 Rottweilers on their huge property. When you open the car door after driving in they greet you with their faces it’s the cutest thing.
The bite force was one reason I figured they weren't part of K9 units anymore. They're like the T-Rexes of dogs.
