@@TIMETECH07 No because it is extreamly difficult to let something slip out of your hand evenly at all the edges and it will inevitebly start rotating. Uneven weight distribution doesn't let the heavier part drop faster, this would only show at much deeper drops because of air resistance.

@@aerodynamic1440 I found an S9 that fell flat on concrete. The screen also wouldn't turn on. If the glass breaks it can damage the connectors at the bottom. This seems to be a random case scenario. He should've tried a hard reboot though, dissapointing he didn't since there can be impact sensors. Some phones also turn off when they get hot etc.

The way that phone will brake is just luck nothing more. You have to do side by side drop test, like phonebuff did to show real results, and i get it he is iphone guy, but saying that iphone glass is super durable isn't true, maybe it is more durable than gorilla glass but not by a mile.

I would take this with a grain if salt. You can see the phones are being dropped slightly differently and this is skewing the results. I would recommend phonebuffs video on this he does actual controlled drops

He definitely isn't a reliable source and you can easily see that in his grading of the phones. I have actually seen drop tests where both phones drop identically so it is very possible to have a fair test.

I see the S20 as the big winner here. While the Apple 11 Pro held up as far as glass is concerned, I was shocked to see how soon it was DOA. For the most of the tests the S20 got cracks on the back. The back can be easily and inexpensively replaced. It wasn't until later in the test that the cameras were compromised. That would be an expensive repair. But in the final analysis the S20 held up well and continued to function, despite many falls. I agree: these phones need to be protected in a case. Kudos to Apple for improving the game with obviously better glass.

You should buy a machine that does the drop tests because it will be more accurate cuz the Iphone had atleast 2 blunder drops and even in one drop the Iphone 11 pro max dropped on the Samsung s20 ultra(10 foot drop)(8:39).
