- Took The Nokta Makro Simplex v02.68 through a apparently untouched yard.It was an Epic Wheat Penny day my best so far...A couple Silver and some other odds and ends..83 coins in all with 27 of them being Wheat Penny's..

Hi my friend from Greeksite of island Cyprus.i am your follower.look for more than 3 years I am hunting with my minelab safari.Last Monday I bought The siblex with the new version 2.78.Is really AMAZING.I want to advise you to get it.The reason is you have an extra depth (you will not needed,)You have another park mode that is really very fast and acurate,And the special thing that I notice is that...when hits bottle cups the nrs become crazy.change to low end to high.really believe me.i hunting in very trushy areas.this feture will help you...this way i thimk Deus only have this feture.Best regards my friend..My minelab is resting now...sorry for my English...

Ya i lost count but i probably dug over 200 coins at that location...Not all in one day but over 5 or 6 times detecting there...

I only paid $315 with the wireless headphones..That's the only reason i went for The Simplex..I have to say i been finding some decent coins with it and am getting more familiar with it every time i use it..Thanks Adam..

@@frojones Search for Vacant lot using Google Earth and Historic Aerials...They are everywhere or look for homes that are vacant that are gonna get torn down...You can find a lot of coins in those places..Permissions are good to but it's not the best time to be knocking on doors..

Yea that was an awesome hunt 8 wheat pennies, some roofing nails. That proves simplex is definitely a worthy detector for the price. There has to be some vintage gold/silver rings, maybe a pocket watch. Alright thx for sharing best of luck

Thanks D Find good luck with the simplex when you get it..I use a Gopro 5 Black.It's all in how you set up the camera and how you render the video..I render the video with sony vegas..

Great hunt! I'm quite new to detecting and learning the Simplex is FUN! Looks like this was taken before the 2.77/ 2.78 upgrade. Have you been back to that area since doing the upgrade? It would be interesting to see if you got more/ better hits?
Thanks Vossie..Yes it was v02.68 back then..To be honest i like 2.68 better than the new updates.2.68 had this certain tone to it that i liked..Kind of like a bird chirp..Unfortunately i don't have that update to go back to...I do like the extra depth ,modes and mute button of the newer updates but the tones are slightly different..I haven't been back to that lot..but i am planning to..

Great video and finds. Do you have any tips on depth settings for this machine ? I have this machine as well and still figuring it out.
The deepest mode is Field mode (2 tone)but park mode (3 tone)separates better...I usually run the sensitivity on 100%..Unless there is too much trash then i lower it...

Thank you for the video and congrats on your great success in that yard but I need to express my pet peeve with everyone that does MD videos: Slow down with your Pinpointer! My Lord you look like you high on speed. I always have this reaction though with just about everyone's videos. I thought we do Metal Detecting for fun and relaxation? Unless you purposely sped up the replay during your pinpointing it seemed like you were rushed and in a hurry.
Haha ya i do get aggressive with the pinpointer..I like to try and locate it once i get the pinpointer out so i don't have to stand back up with the detector again...Thanks for checking out the video Jan.
When you pinpoint where are you digging? Is it the center of your coil?
Pretty much in the center to an inch above center is where the target will be...

Where's the best place to get an sp24 coil? I hut a lot of trashy areas, and I just picked up a screaming deal on a simplex+. I'd love to find a good deal on a smaller coil.
The best prices will always be from your local metal detector dealer.If you show up in person and pay cash they will be the cheapest..Far less than the listed price..That's how most detector dealers work...If you don't know of any local dealers in your area then you can check one of the big retail sellers like Kellyco or Serious Metal detecting..But the big box companys sell them for the listed price...
I just ordered this detector. And I use the Garrett Pinpointer. How much interference am I going to have to put up with?
None if you use the mute button when you dig..
What kind of camera mount do you have? Is it mounted on your shoulder when you’re scanning?
The mount is just a selfe stick zip tied to the arm cuff..
Why were the 5-8 coins together found so deep ?
Iv'e dug coins over 12 inches...It's not uncommon..
I love the simplex! I find a lot of clad with it. What's the best way to clean the coins so they're spendable? Can you just exchange them at a bank?
I got a rock tumbler.. does a great job..
I use a tumbler also...
You can feed them into the CoinStar machine as is. It might reject a small percentage of them. If you get a coupon instead of cash payout, it doesn't charge a percentage.
That rusty thing might be a steel cent.

If i were gonna buy another Garrett it would be an AT Max with a Big Coil Upgrade..It's probably the deepest and newest Tech that Garrett offers..

Ya i have found several 1919 wheat cents...They're not valuable unless you get one that's uncirculated..and No i'm not Canadian..I just find a lot of Canadian coins here..I'm close to Detroit Michigan
