While I was and still to an extent am dubious. I can't help but feel some respect for this project. It is at least well animated and seems like it'll be pretty fun to watch and eventually play.
If the plot is the animatronics have to SAVE lives this time around that's awesome. This genre really needs some news ideas, good to see some creators are trying to keep this genre going.
It looks to me like there's going to be good animatronics and bad animatronics. So some animatronics will be saving lives while othes try to kill people.

FNAF has entered a new era after 10 years. It is absolutely crazy how far we come to bring something like this back in 2014 when the first ever FNAF game came out, and this year, in 2024, something incredible to look forward to.

Basicly, if you make a moral AI,they will actually be inclined to FOLLOW said morals. in the case of Call, an adroid designed by androids..the AIs of her generation were SO moral they refused human control becuase humans were being....well, go watch Aliens 4 and you'll get the idea. One of the dark Horse comics touched on this idea as well. the one with Dean and Jerry..
For information, this was never supposed to be a game, it was an NFT project, of short videos but the community loved it so much and pushed for creation of a game, that's why there is so much confusion. I'm guessing they are now trying to figure out how to do it all. (My Theory)

This project is one of the most incredible indie (if it is anymore?) creations I've seen. Ive enjoyed watching the content produced by Golden Lane studios from the start, and now this. Cant wait to see and play the final products!
This looks amazing! I like that it appears Kandy and the gang will actually be GOOD, as opposed to so many mascot-horror series where they're the bad guys. But I also like how it looks like they WILL be scary....to the guy that corrupted them.
Since I don't see anyone else talking about what the trailer showed other than visuals, I'll start. I think the animatronics get corrupted by the guy who is wearing what looks to be a mouse mask. The player gets chased, but, maybe, they somehow free Suzy. I think Suzy gets freed because we know she turns evil, but there are some scenes that seemingly show Suzy on our side. Also I think the big, bulky robot might not be what everyone suspects, cause it was looking at a picture sadly. Also I think the animatronics might become possessed by kids they kill while corrupted, judging by the scene where a girls was looking for Kandy, but found the bulky robot instead. Looking forward to this. Looks awesome
Plot twist: The menacing animatronic was actually human once and now seeks to save children from Kandy land's insidious grasp. AKA the doomslayer in this verse for sure.

I am stoked for Kandyland. I saw the NFT vids, but if there are shorts and vids being made, I can't fault them for trying to raise money for the project. The animation is amazing and the story building is intriguing.

i actually agree with this one, people like to view the construct of robots as these evil arch-nemesis THAT WE HUMANS CREATED that wants to replace humanity, and we had that through multiple stories (ok, maybe not that much) about this, example: Wall.e, FNAF, MItchells vs the machines. even animators like J-Gems and Sonar has animatronics literally killing ANY humans just to ACHIEVE ONE GOAL, LIKE SERIOUSLY, THEY ARE HUMAN SOULS POSSESSING ANIMATRONICS, THEY SHOULD AT LEAST HAVE GUILT/REGRET OF SOME TYPE OF REMORSE WHEN IT COMES TO KILL THEIR OWN KIND!!! i hope this time with KandyLand, we don't get the same "Evil Robot Genre".
I could be wrong but pretty sure the main 4 are good to begin with, by looks it of this is set before the game and the big chunky red eyed one seems to be the catalyst of why the rest all become bad in the game. Evidence for this is this shows everything been functional meanwhile the game shows a way more rundown Kandyland, and we know that in this show the boy starts off with everything been fine to him trying to escape but he seems to mistaken by who is enemy is as we notice two major contradictions like when he's falling he tries to reach for Suzy but then he seems to be running away from the rest the whole time. Now if all them were bad reaching for Suzy wouldn't make much sense nor would she trying to grab him, also Kandy and Tooki trying to get to him as he gets on top of the wheel they look more concerned than scary (Just realised this was not the boy but the guy in the mask so forget my point here though it does confirm that Kandy and Tooki are also trying to get the guy who started the fire.) I believe what this all means is when whomever that guy is who starts the fire leads to the main boy been confused by what to do so he runs meanwhile the 4 are trying to actually save him. Why he would distrust them is probably due to that big red eye one. Also in the game trailer we see Suzy wake up and she seems joyful not evil but then a red eyed one opens a door and hands out a lollipop I 100% think that's how she becomes evil. And in the game we see Mr Smiles with red eyes. So I do think whatever is controlling them to be evil and the telling sign they are so will be when they have red eyes. In short they will be all evil in the game but in this show it's before they become so, and none of them wanted to be evil but something else made them so. Another thing to note Mr Smiles is also trying to get the guy who started the fire in the mask in that elevator scene so yeah the main 4 for sure didn't want the fire and see him as the bad guy.

When I first heard that this was an NFT project, I was *really* upset. But after seeing this trailer, I can tell that you guys have been working super hard on the game. The animation for the animatronics (and even the humans) is really smooth, the music is great, the voice acting is immersive, and all this has convinced me to become invested into this world again.
Agree, plus, the characters along with it, we can see they don't have any violent intentions towards hurting anyone, but the masked rat we saw... who knows, Kandy land is somewhat around a type of series/game about redemption? But we'll see how it goes.

I hate that the word NFT has very strong negative feel for a lot of people just because the popular youtubers tried to scam their fans for it. There's a lot of legit NFTs out there. I've been playing Splinterlands for a long time and it's a really good one like a Yugioh meets Legends of Runeterra. It's also an NFT that's playable and developing for 5 years now. I'm waiting for their new sub-games, a tower defense type related to its universe. Also, hoping the new cards will be strong since the last release was kind of weak in comparison to the previous ones. TLDR, NFT are not scam. It can be depending on the people behind it though so I'm sad that when people hear NFT, they immediately thinks they are scams.
There's a handful of NFTs that actually turned out to be legit and made really cool IP out of it. This, My Pet Hooligan, Pudgy Penguins, and Claynosaurz are a few.

This whole Candyland thing really feels like the Scott Cawthon experience. They took something that didn't work and made it into something that does. Cawrthon took a game with scary looking beavers and made it into a horror franchise, so I'm hoping this becomes a decent spooky episodic adventure series.

this show/game is going to be OP and amazing to see. I love the New Animatronics, and the story. The Animatronics are going to embark on a adventure or Journey to stop the mastermind who is trying to corrupt them. And what is even crazier and amazing is the Kandyland gang are starring at a Christmas event, since we celebrated Christmas last year, this is such a nice touch and beautiful sight to behold seeing the Animatronics making their debut at a Christmas event.
I dont see why to make such a cool concept to just keep making fake trailers for a scam. (Like, with all the value this had, you could have made a game and won a TON OF MONEY)

This whole Candyland thing really feels like the Scott Cawthon experience. They took something that didn't work and made it into something that does. Cawrthon took a game with scary looking beavers and made it into a horror franchise, so I'm hoping this becomes a decent spooky episodic adventure series.

I am curious on what happened to the older Kandyland series that was in production a while ago. What happened to that and is it going to correlate to this series in some way?

this show/game is going to be OP and amazing to see. I love the New Animatronics, and the story. The Animatronics are going to embark on a adventure or Journey to stop the mastermind who is trying to corrupt them. And what is even crazier and amazing is the Kandyland gang are starring at a Christmas event, since we celebrated Christmas last year, this is such a nice touch and beautiful sight to behold seeing the Animatronics making their debut at a Christmas event.
