Our line sorters are pulling different types of materials off the conveyor belts to be sorted properly. They are also removing non-recyclable items. Envelopes with transparent plastic film windows are acceptable for recycling along with magazines, junk mailers, newspapers, and shredded paper (as long as it's placed in a see-through bag). Great question! Through our single-stream recycling facility, the different types of recyclables are sorted out separately to be sent for processing at their respective facilities. So, to answer your question no, cardboard and plastic are not processed together, they are separated.

I work at a recycling plant myself it can be hard at times still I wouldn't trade it for anything else kudos to the workers for sticking with it.

Are berry containers recyclable?
