    I am about to reach 200k miles on my 2014 raptor. It’s been a reliable champ so far. It’s one thirsty truck tho haha.

      @@Garagetopicsminor issue, when I would change gear from R to D, truck would drop rpm. I replace the purge valve and it fix it. I replaced all 16 spark plugs and boots. One of them was melted through the rubber boot. Funny cause I never notice any mis fire or anything. I replaced change the coolant, did a full flush and now running ford yellow coolant. (Looks green), replace the rear diff fluid. Need to find time to swap out the trans filter and fluid, got the parts they just sitting in the box. I have rad flo shocks, I had them rebuild recently.

      @@Garagetopics getting close to 130k miles, once it was making a grinding noise when on 2wd and stops when its on 4wd i knew it was a vacuum leak which i just replaced, didn't cost up to $100 at the time because i did it myself thanks to youtube university ....Any extra was just routing maintenance and replacing lights for aesthetics.

      Only issue I’ve had is power steering pump blew out. And and just general maintenance oil etc.

    Great looking truck. I dd the shock rebuild from TSW at similar miles as yours and it transformed the way it feels. At 100k miles it was the best money you can spend. Also don't forget to do Fuse 27.

      They all have issues technically, but I would not be scared of a 2012 model at all versus a 13-14 model

    looking at a 2014, 90k on it, supercrew, VERY clean inside and out. asking it about $37,000 - Good? bad? It did have that bad noise when trying to do 4x4 low, but i did not 100% follow the owners manual steps (oopps) any thoughts?

    Good take on your new to you Raptor!
    My last new F-150 was in 05. Have had 3 Tundra and 2 Tacoma the last 20 years. All were excellent trucks.
    Am planning on a RV trailer to pull but wanted more truck than not enough.. Bought new F-250 7.3. 2 months in I'm used to longer wheelbase. Love my decision.
    Your best video in my opinion is the Chevy Malibu sleeper. ❤

    It would be interesting doing an engine swap on a worn out 6.2L Gen.1 with the new-ish Godzilla 7.3L, more power and torque, maybe better mileage too.

  • @willfrisbie7918

    love the video! I got a knock sensor code on mine too. It ending up being a couple bad coils, they were shorting to the engine block and triggering the code. got all new coils on rock auto and we're ripping!

    • @Garagetopics
      @Garagetopics  10 місяців тому

      I forgot to mention this, I had the exact same issue! Did you fully replace the coils or just the boots and "pill"?

    • @willfrisbie7918
      @willfrisbie7918 10 місяців тому

      @@Garagetopics I went with all new coils, got them new for around 600$v for 8. I saw some people had a rough go replacing just the pill part, and I plan to keep my truck for another 200k miles hopefully, so i opted to just replace them. Once i had the new ones on the trucks running amazing.

    Bro, I have 2013 gen 1. Bought it salvaged and rebuilt it. What’s giving me issues is that the frame got a little bent and it makes the truck vibrate at around 50 - 60 mph . Any suggestions or ideas ? I believe I could get that piece of frame sawed off and weld a new one on.. but I don’t know what you guys think ? ( who ever is reading the comments too lol )

    • @Garagetopics
      @Garagetopics  14 днів тому

      Where is the bend on the frame? Mine has no frame damage at all, thankfully, but most likely you probably have a bend near the steering rack?

    • @Garagetopics
      @Garagetopics  10 місяців тому +2

      I believe the frame was reinforced better for 13-14 trucks. In 2014 there was no recall for the lead frame transmission controller, which was a hit or miss issue for the other year trucks
