This is such a great product. My son had spent well over $700 to have a shop install a remote start system on his 2014 Ford Fusion. The shop cut wires, spliced wires, soldered wires, heat shrink wires. Added wires under the hood, center console and behind the dash. Had to buy/program an extra key + buy a module box thing for the extra key to be left in the car.
The shop had his car for 3 days.
I have a 2016 Ford Fusion and bought the remote start module as seen in the above video.......I installed it myself in less than 15 mins. 🧐

This was as easy as he said it was! My son installed my remote starter in about 8 minutes, with the greatest time spent releasing the original harness! It works great! He is now going to buy one and install on his car.

@@Logan45499 Those plugs are a pain in the but. I have great patience when it comes to not wanting to break a connector. They could be costly. So does your heater come on when you remote start?
Based on the video, it looks like it works with just the standard key that comes with your vehicle. That being said, is it possible to program it for both keys or can you only program it for one of them?

If I order and install this product on my 2014 hybrid, will it help me warm up the engine and defrost the windshield during the winter season? Or will it only let the electric motor run? will the obd 2 plug still work like normal, take readings. and possibly flashing with the 4 inch to 8 inch conversion?
Yes the OBD2 will work just like normal.

The remote start works great but it’s starting to get cold where I live and my car will only blow cold air when it’s remotely started. Once I put the key in it changes over to where I left it when turned the car off. Is there any way to get the car to blow heat when it’s running remotely? Thanks
You need an AC panel data update from ford, its a TSB so it should be taken care of at your dealer.
I bought this kit a long time ago for a 2013 fusion se, can you help me if it no longer wanted to turn on remotely, what is the procedure to reset it, turn it back on, I don't have warning lights on the dashboard, when I try to turn it on from the control, only the lights flash but it doesn't turn on remotely. please help
looking at buying it. I I have 2 keys . do I program both keys using the red wire being first then plugging into black one ( one at a time) then other key , or do I only have to do 1 key which covers both?

Once it is learned to the vehicle it will work on all keys.
I installed this product quick and easy works all but the heat/ac. They do not come on when i start the car even if i shut it off with them on.

That is a ford TSB on the 2013 models that will need an update to the AC panel by ford to work.
I tried to install the remote starter in 2013 Fusion SE. I followed written instructions they is shipped with the package. Installation did not go through as expected. With red connector connected, my LED flashes three times red. I never see solid LED. I need help. What is customer care number?

My problem is, the remote starter stopped working, I changed the (button) battery time and time again and it's still not working. I wonder if I need to install a "J's Alarms" and can the other be uninstalled?. Thank you for your video. Yes it will wake up the last setting that you turn the car off with. So if you leave HEAT on when you park it will turn HEAT on when you remote start it.

Yes you can turn off the motor by pressing the lock button 3 times again or press the brake on the vehicle without the key in the ignition.

No it does not, this will run for 15 minutes and then go to the last setting for heating and AC control.
J's Alarms so if i turned off heat/ac before i turn off the ignition, when i go to remote start the car it would turn on without any ac/heat correct ?

Not on the 2013 model, i do apologize but this is something in the Ford software on the vehicle.

Does the vehicle turns off when you open the car door to get in? I have seen some remote start kits that when you open the door to get in the car turns off and you have to turn it on again. Please let me know.

Not on the fords, the vehicle will stay running. If you press the brake without the key in the ignition it will turn the car off as a safety feature.

This requires the vehicle key to be inserted and turn forward before vehicle will come out of park, so they can not steal you vehicle.

Unplug white and black plug, hold down black button, plug in black plug, let go of button once it flashes red.

Yes just use the same button presses to turn the vehicle off.
I received this for my 2013 Ford fusion I followed all the steps on the paper it showed all the lights correctly but when I hit the lock button 3 times it does not start I can hear the module make click noise every few seconds but that's it. any advice?

No it will not.
Asher -- I have a 2014, (millennial theft-proof) 6-speed manual Fusion...you can check out systems by Compustar that work with manual transmissions.
I'm confused on how the heating works without turning the actual motor on.. where does my hybrid have an electric heating unit?
That is a good questions for ford, we do not have much cold here so i have not tested the heat part only the A/C unit.
How do you reset it so it'll work if it doesn't work the first time. I did everything correctly but it still will not remote start. There are no lights on the dash or low fuel light. New wire harness did nothing to change my situation. This is making it VERY HARD to be a "surprise" when I'm constantly pulling panels and not having any success!! Please help!!!

I got this today and I followed all instructions. Doors are all closed hood is closed no lights on dash and when I press lock 3X the dash comes on then turns off right away. After that parking lights blink and car does not start. Please help!!

gavin rulli i pushed down. push down and then like use a trim remover tool or another flathead to push the whole thing out . It’ll take a couple tries

Sounds like you might have a warning light on the dash such as check engine light, low fuel, low tire pressure?

Hello fellow Fusion owner. I am writing this review because I struggled to install the remote start in this video and would like to caution future buyers so they'll know what they might be getting into. My order arrived Nov 20 and I finally got it installed on Dec 8 after a bunch of research and purchasing the right tools.
*PART 1: Rude and unhelpful technical support*
I was not able to remove the obd plug as easy as it looked in the video. The back of my plug was blocked by a metal frame. The video only showed him reaching into the back and plugging it out but doesn't show what's going on in the back. I called technical support and the first thing he told me was to watch the video which I already had (and over 10 times). Past that, he made no effort to help diagnose my issue. He said that hundreds of people have done it with no issue and I should ask someone else (which I also did and they weren't able to do it either). He was not prepared to actually help me out. I finally suggested if he would let me send over a picture (which if he had really wanted to help I'd imagine he'd be the one suggesting that). Keep in mind this was all while carrying a rude tone. And when I got a reply on the picture I sent it was not helpful either. They told me to remove a screw that even in the picture was clearly blocked by something else (which I later figured was the knee airbag).
*PART 2: How I figured out how to do it*
I watched another video that was also to install a remote start (from another company) and they suggested to remove the obd port (a.k.a gateway module). The issue was that the 7mm was covered by the knee airbag. I read the manual to remove the driver-side knee air bag which required a 10mm ratchet wrench (the area is too tight for a regular wrench), a T20 screw for the panel below the steering wheel. Then only are you able to pop down the gateway module to easily unplug the obd. Everything else became as straightforward as the video once I was able to do that.
In conclusion, if you are buying this with the impression that you will only need 5 minutes and no tools to install, I recommend you first check if you can unplug the obd plug as easily as in the video before you purchase. If you are not able to, it means you might need to do the same procedure to drop down the gateway module which will involve removing the knee air bag which will take up to an hour and requires tools.
On a side note, after I sent a message with the picture to ask for help on the seller's page. My ebay account got permanently suspended. I created my account for the sole purpose of this remote start so something tells me the seller went out of their way to have me suspended just so they won't have to actually help me out or give me a chance to leave a legitimate negative review. But end of the day, I don't have a way of confirming this theory so I'll leave it up to interpretation.
But anyways, the product works. And I feel accomplished having been able to figure it out myself. I did a ton of research to figure out what was going on down there and also tried a bunch of tools so I'm happy that paid off.

@@baileyfeldewerd2542 I had it set up right but the module they sent was set up for lock, unlock, lock. ( no horn hunk) The one I thought I ordered was the lock 3 times with horn hunk.
