Yes I do, you can see a video with the sound comparison here: MBRP Exhaust - Ford Super Duty 6.2L Sound vs. Stock ua-cam.com/video/NY18VNFUHVo/v-deo.html
Depending on the car indeed. Mine was the farthest from easy. Just take it to a dealership and pay whatever they ask it would of been so much easier. I literally had to take the entire dash apart to get to the "purple wire."
I leave this vehicle sit for extended periods (a week or two) at a time and have not had any battery drain issues. Im sure it uses some amount of power but it doesn’t seem to be significant. Since it looks for the door lock sequence rather than an incoming remote radio frequency signal, it doesn’t seem that it would require much power usage.
The range is whatever the range is for your factory key fob since it uses that to start the vehicle. As for which is better, I have no experience with Start X, this review is specific for 12 Volt Solutions.
@@stuffyoucando2I just bought this for my highlander but worried that it might cause battery drain. Wondering how long you have had it ... and if you have had any battery drain issues after it was installed?
@@Motiahmed330 I’ve had it for just about a year now. I’ve had no battery drain issues. This vehicle sits for extended periods in the summer as I drive another vehicle most of the time and it is just fine when I start after long periods.

Thank you for the info. By chance do you have an exhaust on this truck. Also have the 6.2.

Good review thanks 👍 Got to love that 6.2L firing up.
Thanks, I figured it was a nice bonus, I do love how this truck sounds!
Great info, thought I needed to take it in. Sounds simple enough, thanks.
No problem, not very difficult. Depending on the car, removing trim is probably the most difficult part.

Thank for taking the time to make this video
Two years later, is it still working good??
Unfortunately I no longer have this truck, but this always worked just fine for me.
Does this unit parasitically draw power (like the car alarm, etc) when the car is not in use (engine is off).

Yes it has a parasitic drain, but no more than the average newer car with 2 way comm remotes.

How is it so far? Would this void any warranty?
I’m pretty happy with it so far. According to the 12 Volt Solutions website FAQ, it does not void your warranty.

How long does the remote start last they typically turn off after so many minutes
The default run time is 15 minutes.
@@stuffyoucando2 so it's by default. Does that mean you can extend the run time to say around 20 mins?
No vodeos for my mercedes they kind of suck
