Will this work on a 2023 Maverick..with new winter tires with aftermarket sensors?
No, you will need to program for the new sensors, which is a different procedure.
@stuffyoucando2 do you know what that procedure is?
Where did you find the manual ECM? I'm looking online and can't find anything. I have a 2001 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0l v6 SOHC and a donor vehicle, a 1998 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0l v6 OHV.
My donor truck had what I needed, but I also sourced a spare from a local junk yard.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SUPRISED THAT THIS, THE PATHFINDER (SADLY), OUTLANDER, BRZ AND 86 NEVER HAD A TRUE 2021 MODEL YEAR WHY!!!!😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
I can’t speak for every model you listed, but at least a couple of those did that to focus on the next generation that were full redesigns.
First comment oh heck ya bud!!
Holy shit I just acquired a 96 2.3 2wd 5speed and your series here are about to be my next 6 months haha. If I get hard stuck on something I might have to pick your brain. I'm hoping to find diff, pistons, and clutch upgrades before anything. Cheers!
Good luck!
My f250 died now this light came on and won’t re learn
Thank you! This worked on the 2014 Transit Connect I just bought. Had to do twice, as I got a failure message the first time. Not sure what this updates. Log file upload got the 'file problem' message. Would be surprised if Ford is even supporting uploading for this version at all, given the age of Sync 1 now.
Heat the diesel.1st
I didn't see no o-ring when removing or installing c clips
I’m sure with age they can deteriorate and go missing.
Most ramps have the rubber inserts only in the rear of the ramp as a safety preventing driving past the front wheel stop, the ramp slides instead.
This has been an awesome watch. I got a 96 5 speed 2.3l 2wd this summer, and I just learned all the fun questions through your 6 part videos here. Hope the truck is still blastin.
Thank you! Clear, concise, and you didn't tell us about your childhood and life choices like some instructional videos do. 😂
Cackled at this
Great video. Nice job.
Just installed them and unfortunately I still feel a hard bump here and there. Maybe I’ll give it more time
What do you mean hard bump?
You have a Pn for the seals
The seals can be different depending on what vehicle you have.
How big is this? Would it fit a dirt bike carb?
The tank is 10”L x 6”W x 3”D
I wrapped my entire exhaust system from downpipe to rear mufflers for the increased internal heat and resulting exhaust velocity. I also did it to get slight acoustic benefits by adding total mass to the pipes therefore shifting the resonance point. From what I’ve read the wrap will block high frequencies not low frequencies. ( blocks rasp not bass )
I put new sensor and valve I. Tire it won’t recognize new one when I do this it says it’s preprogrammed
This will work on brand new Fords after you take them out of transport mode and it asks you to train the tires, its a pain in the ass but if you get trucks that dont go through a dealer or Ford service department this is how to do it.
Does not work for ford escape
What year?
Thank you for the video. It has given me some other ideas that I had not thought of.
Thank you this helped me out a lot.
Good review, but I am using mobokey. It also has apple watch!
If it takes an entire tube per wheel, this design is INSANE. I have pulled trailers and worked on them my entire life and have never seen an axle that has to have ALL these grease replaced every year. Couple of pumps until you see grease come out and your done. 40 years of this process with no failures EVER until Dexter came along and i burn through a spindle because of no grease. Design failure for sure....
Nice job. I really expected a light sanding to smooth it out. Would have appreciated a finished closeup like you showed prior to fixing it.
The rear brakes don't have the 2 pins which separate the brake pads from the rotors like the front brakes have?
Nope, what you see is the hardware that's used for the rears.
Dexter says: 1. Never put your jack on the axle. It goes on the frame according to the RV manufacturer's instructions. 2. Always use a hand-operated grease gun...never electric or pneumatic. I've never used more than 1/4 to 1/3 tube on any hand-packed bearing. I'd be reluctant to use more than that...maybe it's blowing out the rear seal. My current Dexter has globs of grease in it when I remove the cap...not sure I'm going to pump that much grease into this axle.
Guess your shocks wont be doing their job with those in the way.
Guess you’re assuming the suspension no longer moves then?

I have a car infiniti qx70 year 2016 I need to start on key
Great technique removing the fill plug first. Never the other way around. If the fill plug won't come out after the oil is drained you're in a pickle. Especially if it needs to get you to work in the morning! Great video.
Does this work if you replace an old sensor to a new one from a tire?
No, that requires a different procedure.
I added the mid strength Sumos to my 1/2 Ton GMC. There is about 3/4" space above them. I find the empty ride to be nearly the same as before. When towing my 8500-pound TT, it is more stable and rides like a dream. I use a WDH as well. There is absolutely no maintenance, and they should last as long as the truck. There is a small amount of sag but it is barely noticeable. I think the Sumo Springs are an excellent option for sag and handling safety. They were easy to install as well.
Just did my oil for the 2nd time following this video. THANK YOU. I know very little about what happens under the hood.
How did you program it? My got disprogram and I don't know how to get it program again
You should contact their customer service for instructions on your specific vehicle.

@@stuffyoucando2thank you love the truck
@@NUCLEAR_ROACH thanks!
Great video, thank you so much.
Can you do a video where a guy like me let the spider gears drop and now I’m in a jam. I have the gears out of the diff housing now but am Leary to pull it apart more…that weird S shaped piece between the 2 axle bearings is stressing me out
Unfortunately I can’t pull mine apart to do a video on that. I had this happen to me once before when changing out an axle shaft because I forgot to elevate both wheels and I rotated the elevated side with the pin removed and didn’t realize the spider gears were coming out as I was turning it and they fell out. In my case I put them back in by placing them in the positions they were in when they fell out and rotating the wheel back the opposite way and the side gears moved them back in. It was a pain and took a few tries but worked, but I’d probably recommend watching some of the differential overhaul videos and finding that point in the process, but it will most certainly require removing that S spring.
@@stuffyoucando2 Thank you for your reply....I eventually got the gears back in place. I have another rear diff to rebuild so I think I will make a video as there us nothing out there that speaks directly to this problem :)
I will change my bulb after breakfast. Thanks for a great video and I subscribed.
Do u glue everything? Or do all the parts click together?
This particular model is all glue together.
What kind of primer do you use? Is it really necessary or can you jump straight to paint in most cases?
I talk about this around 3:30 in the video. In this case, I didn’t need primer as the touch up kit used a paint that acted as both primer and paint. If your touch up paint isn’t that type, then I suggest using an automotive primer, available in a spray can from Rustoleum on whoever else may offer that. Since you’re repairing a chip, applying it could be done by spraying the small amount of primer into something (a cup, bowl, etc..) and using an artist’s paint brush or q-tip to apply. I hope that helps!
I use mine for all my gun parts works amazing
5.4
5.4 liters…but 5.7 quarts as stated in the video.
Helllllp what is the mhz for the autel to program it
Mine does all this, but when it's time to reboot it just freezes up and doesn't reboot
I noticed on the new brake pads the squealer is on the outside vs. the inside (the side with the piston). Shouldnt the brake wear indicator/squealer go on the inside?
Good observation...It should be on the inside. Not sure if it's going to make any noise or anything.
@@rontan8954 it won't make any noise day to day but generally the pad that is touching the piston wears down quicker so you want that pad on the inner side.
It would still squeal once it contacts the rotor. The general idea behind putting them on the inside is that people tend to think the pad on the piston side wears faster. I’ve never observed this to be true and feel the position of the squealer is a preferential thing. Personally, I think if you solely rely on this device to tell you that your brakes need replaced, you should rethink how you maintain your vehicle. You should inspect your brakes periodically to check wear, not rely on a noise making device with questionable reliability.
so I'm assuming if the vehicle report not available I can still update without doing that step in 2024. I'm updated my car it was used but I have problems with sometimes saying that there's no Bluetooth device available even when my phone says its connected. yes I have the files on a flash drive.
I'm getting a set of the plastic ones and I'm going to completely fill all the cavities in the undersides of them with expanding foam. That should stiffen them up and make them more rigid.
