Bishop Barron’s explanations about Mary’s place in Catholicism and the rosary etc were crucial to my awakening and conversion from my Bible-based fundamentalist faith (which I describe as primitive Catholicism, but weak in teachings on the Holy Spirit). I had emergency surgery to remove a 6 pound mass removed and am facing chemo, but don’t yet know the extent or prognosis or other details-all 10 days ago, and unexpected. I have been extremely thankful for the rosary and the divine chaplet and for my conversion and every mass I have attended, and for blessed clergymen like this one who have provided for my spiritual needs. I need Mary to be a mother to me now, and I’m so thankful that Bishop Barron made me understand I can rely on her to do so as an active form of worshipping Jesus Christ. Im thankful that I have worn the miraculous medallion for many months, and prayed novenas for two other cancer victims, and that I can pray now for the dying, the sick, the lonely, the lost, and those grieving. What a gift I have received, and how I wish to thank this man. Merry Christmas, father. Thank God for your capable and selfless service to promoting the gospel and the teachings of the church.
Although i normally like the homilies of Bishop Barron, this one was INCREDIBLE. Very few strike the balance of Mariology of making it relevant, plumbing the depths of Catholic Tradition but not making it so intellectual as to be more like an essay, or a bit too twee. Felt like the disiples on the road to Emmaus. So much burning of my heart as i learnt off this great man.
Agreed most debates on Mary fall into tradition vs scripture but the bishop beautifully connects that scripture is a fruit of tradition but also tradition is proved by scripture.
Bishop Barron has alluded to the book by Brant Pitre “Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary” in the past and all these are explained in detail in that book. I used to be guilty that I cannot defend our making Mary the highest of creatures from my protestant friends but it is that book that really opened my eyes. Bishop Barron sums up it up brilliantly.
For me, I've always believed in the intercession of mother Mary since my childhood even though I was born and grew up in a non Christian family. The second time I asked for her intercession, God responded and I promised God not to doubt for life. This until I converted and baptized Catholic 15 years later. When I went to the Catholic Church, the very first thing happened, the priest gave me the Rosary. The comfort I felt was unbelievable, it was as if mother Mary was telling me I brought you here. I believe in Mother Mary's intercession by experience, even before I became Catholic and since my childhood. This experience by all means was a factor among others that led to my conversion. Since I was introduced to the Rosary, I've never broken the habit of praying.
From being an atheist to surrender my soul to Mother Mary and Lord Jesus Christ it all happened due to blessed Mother Mary's love and blessing. The Miracles Mother did in my life is beyond words. My prayers for you and your beloved Child our Lord Jesus Christ.❤🙏
One of the best homilies on our Lady! I love praying along with BIshop Barron's videos on the Rosary with his very unique but very powerful reflections on Mary and the Gospel Mysteries!
Blessed Mother Mary is a beautiful mother. She loves her son, she wants us to love him as she does. What child doesn’t run to their loving mother when hurt or happy? She is our heavenly mother, who brings us closer to our Lord. Go to her as you would go to your mother, for love, wisdom and guidance. One of Bishop Barron’s very best homilies. Thank you, Bishop.
The Virgin Mary is a demonic spirit named Ishtar. The Bible calls her the queen of heaven. (Jeremiah 7:18 ) When you do the rosary, know that you’re performing a ritual that comes from Hinduism. Don’t let these people lead you into hell.
The more I walk the streets of Los Angeles praying the Rosary the more enthusiastic I get about Mary untying the knots of those who see may pray and of those who live in those city blocks I walked through. Plus I can sense that the spiritual battle is becoming more personal since certain strange things has been happening. Let’s all help Our Mom’s Immaculate heart triumph by boldly going out in public and praying the Rosary. It will be an epic battle but a joyous one by all of a sudden seeing people praying the Rosary all across America and the world. Amen
Mary has been my bridge to what I've needed most in this life. I resisted Christ for so long and then was called to pray the rosary. As I did more and more she opened my heart and made me a believer. Forever grateful 💕.

Hearing Bishop Barron describe Mary as a protector/soldier reminds me of a time back in my early 20’s. Back then, I was living in a cheap, windowless basement apartment in the PNW. One night I was awoken around 3 am by what I can only describe as a dark presence that felt like it was pressing down on my entire body while I was lying in bed. I was petrified and started praying. I could hardly move but eventually managed to lift my right arm and turn on a lamp next to my bed. The moment I did, I felt the presence lift off my body. Then I saw something incredible. On the wall in front of me was a shadow that I instantly recognized in my heart/mind as the silhouette of a pregnant Mary. Another wonderful, and for me; timely Homily from Bishop Barron! As a reconvert from agnosticism, I have been seeking Jesus through Mary and praying the Rosary almost nightly, and now I understand why her intercession is so beneficial and effective. She who was chosen to be born without the stain of original sin, who remained sinless throughout her life, who gave birth to our Lord and Savior, who fed and nourished Him during His most vulnerable stages, and who compelled Him to begin His ministry at Cana, is truly the new Eve and Ark of the Covenant! I understand through her intercession how she suffered for Him, how she knows Him better than all but the Father and the Holy Spirit, and her prayers are powerful and effective! She has led me and my family closer to Jesus! I will take your advice and carry my rosary always. ✝️🌹📿🌹

I’m not a superstitious person. But, just a week ago, for some reason I felt a presence I could not explain. I felt uneasy, I felt like I was being followed. something malevolent. I couldn’t explain it. Evil. So I searched my entire house, looked around outside and couldn’t find anything wrong, but I still felt that feeling of dread. Climbing into bed, I tried playing positive music, hymns or anything else to make me feel better. Nothing worked. Finally, I played Bishop Barron’s Joyful Mysteries Rosary. My wife, was not happy, she told me to turn it off. So I filled her in. She then got freaked out, but we waited for the rosary to finish. For about 10 minutes, I was still distracted as the rosary was played, but I forced myself to focus on every single word. Every. single. Word. And nothing else. Maybe five more minutes passed by and my wife just asked again to turn it off, I said “turn what off?” And realized I completely forgot what I was worried about. I can’t explain it. One of the weirdest things I have ever experienced. I asked my wife the next day, and she told me she woke up multiple times in the night and just prayed the “our father” and it seemed to help her. We’re not the most religious people but we’re both technically Catholic. When Bishop Barron spoke about unseen threats, this ringed so true. We would have gone to mass the next day but it was a Friday.
Welcome back, I wish you and your wife the holy grace and peace that comes to one freely when we commit to our Lord and the wonderful Catholic faith that includes Mass and following the sacraments. God bless you both.

Creedal Christians in the churches that trace their descent from the magisterial Reformation will have very few objections against these claims, Bishop. As an ordained Presbyterian minister, I will be preaching to my congregation tomorrow a sermon in which I will refer to Mary as the Mother of God, the new Ark of the Covenant, the Mother of the Church, the Mother of all Christians, and the model disciple. Let's put an end to the polemics. Imagine what separated brethren can do for the world if they were reunited.
Thank you, sir. I can't wait for the reunification of all Christians when the world could see what we could do together! It would bring about what Our Lord prayed for three times in John 17 before He went to the Garden of Gethsemane. It would make Him so happy!
@Newgrist Thank you for this articulation! It is disappointing that so many low-church ‘solo scriptura’ types box themselves into a Mary-disparaging corner.
My two daughters are both entering their third trimesters in their pregnancies and for this reason Advent and Christmas this year is very Marian and very Eucharistic. Mary is a unique sign of the priesthood in that she gives bread and her wine, her very own blood, which in her womb by the power of the Holy Spirit becomes the flesh of the divine person of Christ, True God and True Man. Blessed be the great Mother of God, Mary most holy.
Thank you Bishop. Brought up with the Love of our Blessed Mother being taught by the nuns 8 years of grade school….Not the ridiculous name so called Middle school…(Just My Take). Mary of the Sorrowful Heart, Pray for us.
40+ years as a Catholic, and I am so glad to receive new insights in the Catholic Church's Marian Teachings. Thank you, Bishop Barron.❤ _Mary, the Undoer of Knots,_ help me to do as Your Son Jesus Christ says to me. Amen. Alleluia!❤
That is so true when I finally started my journey with the lord I and wanted to become a servant of the Lord I noticed I had a lot of messy knots to undo from my past in order to fully receive Christ into my life.
Mary's advice to the wedding guests at Cana ' do whatever he says ' is all we need to know she is on a different level of blessedness. Her Magnificat is another. Her being given to us at the foot of the cross ( John) by her Son Jesus as our Mother before he expired is all I need to accept her as my heavenly mother.
Our Lady is all these things indeed. I like to recall how Jesus, when hanging on the Cross, gave Her to 'me' as Mother, faithful, beautiful, Mother of God, Mother of me
Jesus and only Jesus guides my life and works in and through me, strengthening me in my spiritual walk till one day abruptly, I meet Him face to face 1Corinthians 12:13 Jesus said no one comes to the Father but by me. Mary, definitely had an important role. As a Lutheran, I pray to Christ, he paid the price for my salvation . Fallen man could not come to God, so He came to us through Christ.✝️
This was one of THE BEST teachings on Mary, in under 15 minutes, I've ever heard!

I'm a Catholic but I audit an evangelical service once a week. The pastor at that church regularly refers to Mary as Mother of God.
I love the title (and the icon) of Mary, Virgin of silence. So powerful, so inspiring
Thank you, Bishop Barron
Beautiful. Powerful. True. Fr Clive( UK).
Amen
Thank you Bishop. Brought up with the Love of our Blessed Mother being taught by the nuns 8 years of grade school….Not the ridiculous name so called Middle school…(Just My Take). Mary of the Sorrowful Heart, Pray for us.

Great reflection on Mary. Thank you Bishop Barron.
40+ years as a Catholic, and I am so glad to receive new insights in the Catholic Church's Marian Teachings. Thank you, Bishop Barron.❤
_Mary, the Undoer of Knots,_ help me to do as Your Son Jesus Christ says to me. Amen. Alleluia!❤
His salvation has started when Mother Mary said yes to His plan.
I thought she was asked not told
Another magnificent sermon! Thank you very much, Father. ❤❤❤
Touched my heart.
"There is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 2:5).
Amen.
Mary Undoer of Knots...Pray for my family and all other families were there is conflict....
Grazie, buon vescovo.
(Thank you, good bishop.)
So beautifully unfurled & made clear, Bishop Barron. Thank you again & again.
So comforting and reassuring to listen to this warm and wise sermon. Which brings to mind another wonderful and timely title, Our Lady of Consolation.
It may be comforting but it’s very deceptive
Mary, the most holy vessel, moved Christ to his first miracle even though he wasn't ready yet. He did it for his mother. Mother Mary.
That is so true when I finally started my journey with the lord I and wanted to become a servant of the Lord I noticed I had a lot of messy knots to undo from my past in order to fully receive Christ into my life.
Our Lady of Ransom • pray for us
Mary points the way to Jesus. She shines brightly because she reflects the light of the Son of God.
Amen my beautiful Mother thank you for your Holy Rosary and your loving intercession and for your queenship 🎉❤
Thank you! God bless you!
Thank You Bishop Barron❣😃✌🙏
Mary's advice to the wedding guests at Cana ' do whatever he says ' is all we need to know she is on a different level of blessedness. Her Magnificat is another. Her being given to us at the foot of the cross ( John) by her Son Jesus as our Mother before he expired is all I need to accept her as my heavenly mother.
Our Lady of Good Counsel ,Help us!
Under of Knots,Mary,help us!
If the disciples had not been with Jesus, would she have made the request?
thank you bishop!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️please pray for us our holy mother of God 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Our Lady is all these things indeed. I like to recall how Jesus, when hanging on the Cross, gave Her to 'me' as Mother, faithful, beautiful, Mother of God, Mother of me
Thank you Bishop...
Bless you too Your Grace, Merry Christmas 🎉🎉❤. Thank You Sir
Much of what he talked about in the beginning can be found in much greater detail in a book about Mariology - a very worthy read.
Praise be Jesus Christ
Hail Holy Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God
St Joseph pray for us
Thank you father
Jesus and only Jesus guides my life and works in and through me, strengthening me in my spiritual walk till one day abruptly, I meet Him face to face 1Corinthians 12:13
Jesus said no one comes to the Father but by me. Mary, definitely had an important role. As a Lutheran, I pray to Christ, he paid the price for my salvation . Fallen man could not come to God, so He came to us through Christ.✝️
Luther agreed with Church regarding Mary.
Some brilliant insights I had not heard before. Thank you
In Mary ALONE all mysteries of God and humanity will be made known, thus Mary Alone is the face of the deepest fulfilment of humanity.
interesting.....known is 1 thing. but, 2 partake is another...
@andrew-c1y9b thus the formula begins with building relationship with Mary in whom we are able to love God
