Seeing Khaio's house next to Chippy's house is the equivalent of "Playing with your builder friend in multiplayer". 😂 Also amazing job as always Khaios. 👍
I think the brown-painted spooky wood walls don't really mesh with the style of Chippy houses because they're normally built with dirt cheap materials you can get at the start of the game.
Your take on Chippy Housing is rather pleasant to look at. However in my opinion the biggest feature of Chippy Housing is that it is a blend of utility coupled with simple minimalistic accents to increase visual appeal. With that in mind your design misses some of the key elements. Mainly it only houses a single NPC and takes more actions to navigate than the original. The storage being farther removed from the crafting stations is another thing that could be improved upon. Your original modern medieval building is a nice bonus, and I'd love to see you develop the style more.
Concidering I tend to create houses with a somewhat similiar style ( mostly wood and stone brick with shingled roof ) it's nice to see how they can be improved! You know, if possible I would love to see a video like this one about adding a connecting storage basement underneath the house with chests and crafting stations. It's a very convenient spot for items and I struggle to make it look like it's an actual part of the build instead of a bad looking extension so I would be happy to see your take on this 👍

I loved the act of staying true to chippy's design, it's hard to keep up to your builds since i'm not a builder but upgrading from a simple house to a more complex one feels achievable,
These videos just keep on inspiring me to build stuff in Terraria. I’ve had art block for quite a while & I can’t seem to draw anything that I like so having another outlet for my creativity & feeling inspired for the first time in forever has really helped me. Thank you Mr Khaios. :)

Nice house remodel! I’ve always loved the 2-thick walls in my builds. One thing I think I will take away from this video is the use of paints and different wall materials. I don’t like the over-details for the roof in the initial build though. Cheers!

Chippy's houses practically shaped my entire taste for building. I struggled at first but after seeing his little shacks I just said: _"Hey that looks nice, I can do that!"_
To me, simplicity is key. I mean too simple looks bland, but at the same time that simplicity has a certain charm to it. And I think Chippy knows that.
I hate it when I build a house and I use so much time to the point I only make one house per day, but I also hate the fact that I need to make the house overly simple if I want to build quick
chippy houses are great because theyre both efficient and presentable. they have the essentials, even having banners and stuff, but small flares like the roof and brick wall trim makes it less of an eyesore
I just finished making my Snow Biome house and after seeing this, I could apply that design to it. I used both Boreal Wood and Smooth Granite for my house with a Red Dynasty Shingles for my roofing and a combination of Blue Dynasty Wall and Boreal Wood Wall for my walls.
Thank you for this! More updates to improve starter houses would be great. They use such basic materials and I really struggle to make them look good. And I’m lazy and rarely come back to them later.

The only thing I'd change in the first house is I'd add some ebonwood to either the exterior or interior side of the walls to try to add some depth to it. Your original design however is beautiful and amazing
khaios, I don't know If you are taking any sugestions for videos ideas, but i think It would be really fun see you making a terraria build inspired in some diferents archtectures styles, like the Brazilian houses in Pelourinho, Salvador, or the houses in the moutains in Lima, Peru. (I said just south american buildings, but it could be from any place in the world). I love your videos!!
Didn't expect to see a skilled Terraria builder looking at what I can only assume is someone making a base that is pretty much just a slightly upgraded shoebox house, & calling it genius. But I love it! My confidence in my building skills has shot up

Chippy's build style is extremely simple yet not bland enough to make it ''yet another shoebox spam,'' it's just at the verge of being uninteresting but it isn't, because it still has some charm and uniqueness to them. Your remake is definitely leaps and bounds ahead in quality, but it obviously is much more complex block choice wise for a person mostly known for playthrough series. Like, are you telling me Chippy is going to go out of his way to make rubble maker tiles, natural walls in graveyard, building-only brick tiles and so on? Nah, I don't think so. His houses accomplish what they need to, by having extremely easy to get decorative blocks and mostly function over form in mind.

dude. the house you made is form over function. In the original, both floors are NPC valid and having the bed on the first floor allows you to get out faster. :) edit: btw, im not saying I don't like the redesign, it looks great. just pointing out some problems edit 2: i just realized (since i was commenting mid video) there was a second build.
