    Fred is awesome - I think the work on the flat getting her soft really translated to your jumping - you did a great job your round was just beautiful Addie is a star!!

    The walk work put a huge smile on my face as, all be it partly forced on us by having to use our small school while the main school is having a major upgrade, we have been doing a lot of walk schooling. I really have noticed just how Hugo seems to do well with it and feels beneficial.

    Thank you so much to both you and Fred for sharing that lesson content: I’ve learnt so much and it was so beneficial to see what to do when they don’t necessarily do exactly what you want.
    Fred’s tone of voice and when he gives his cues are just spot on. ❤

    Who is this Fred?! Lovely lesson, not reading comments the first one was about keyboard warriors, no time for that and I’m new to your channel, really lovely harmony between horse, rider and instructor ❤

    Bloody brilliant lesson! Fantastic instructor and you & Addie were absolutely bossing by the last round. Your resilience is something else, youre able to make a mistake and not hold onto it and make the change the next time you try the same exercise. Something to be commended! You could see the improvements so quickly throughout the lesson, and you could see how much confidence you were giving Addie! Really enjoy following your journey! Looking forward to seeing more training with Fred! 💪

    Oh man this was a bit brutal, I think I have ptsd from shouty riding lessons as a kid and this brought it all back! At least you didnt get off and have a strop and say "well you do it then!", You did so so well! I am learning with our baby horse that we need to do things wrong in order to learn how to do them right, it is the most difficult AND the most joyous part of bringing a horse on! I am laughing at your counting, so like me, "you want counting? HAVE ALL THE NUMBERS" slight hysteria kicking in🤣 Well done you, this was a super useful video to watch.

    That was beautiful to watch. Boy oh boy were you two working and connecting. Believe Addie truly enjoyed that... you could see her brain working and she really started to use herself. 🦅 over that course and it was epic 🔥Always remember that your biggest competition is with yourself which is why I very much appreciated coach’s comments about not sacrificing training for clear round. 😊 Can we also talk about how good Addie looks also. Her winter coat and weight look great 👍 great job Em. Well cared for and it shows.

    Dressage as flat work is so important - the training scale applies to your jump training as well, you need all those elements to progress and succeed - lovely vlog Fred is such a sympathetic and knowledgeable trainer but at the same time does not let you get away with anything 😊 Addie is growing into a lovely horse and you will both do so well

    Horses don't know how to be 'naughty'. It baffles me how a so called professional can use that term. Awful

    • @mlcequestrian3259
      @mlcequestrian3259 Рік тому +6

      Horses are very clever, they know how to use themselves against us at times and that can sometimes come out in naughtiness and cheekiness. You are right no horse knows how to be naughty but their behaviour in that moment is the opposite of what we are asking of them therefore the word naughty is used as it’s the simplest and easiest way to explain it.
