I finally got a Mac after 100 years. Thanks for making videos, I'm new to Apple and following your instructions.
A tip regarding organizing the dock... If you have a lot of apps, use folders and app aliases in those folders. This way you can organise your apps in themed descriptive application stacks and also rename your apps in descriptive ways.

This is super informative - thanks! I've been converting all my career work over to Windows, and decided to keep my Macbook Pro and use it strictly as a music production device. That really helps prevent me from having GAS over hardware digital synths and things like MPCs, Maschines, etc. The money I'd get for selling it would be a little more than the cost of a MPC One+, but my Macbook easily outperforms what that MPC could do (honestly most digital synths too). Huge plus that I already have Komplete 13 Standard and a Roland A88mkII.

Crazy that iCloud trick is important. I’ve been having problems with FL studio. It kept restarting to the default demo with all my saved folders and settings deleted. I couldn’t find my files because it was in a hidden “MOBILE folder” in system files. I called Apple and they didn’t know the problem. I had less that 1GB of space on my Mac and they were surprised my Mac was even running. My storage would change from 20GB free to 10MB instantly and between sessions It would freeze and say “need storage to run program”. This would of saved me so much time! 😂
How about to enable airplane mode when you are in production environment?

I noticed you had the M1 Mac Mini. What do you recommend for simply playing at church live? MacBook Pro or Air? Specs? I’d really love to get the Air if it’s sufficient enough...... You really have some great content! Keep grinding bro!
I would recommend the air...but I would wait a few months on getting any of the M1 macs...their are still some things that aren’t working totally
I’m sorry for the tons of questions I ask...would I need 8 or 16 gigs? Ive seen that the 8 they’re fibbing are more than the traditional 8 of an intel buuuut idk if that’s totally true.

I notice you got alot of apps on your docks do they work as a phone would cause on my phone i realize some apps runs in the background whether they not in used but just having it on the sceeen runs down the battery alot quicker
that notification swipe from the right feature.. I would completely agree, a whole dumpster's worth of hot garbage! so frustrating until you figure out how to turn it off!

If you tap with two fingers it will perform the right click instead of enabling it from the bottom.

So, you keep your soft synths on an external hard drive or just the content of them (presets, samples etc)?
Samples...the Actual plugin is still on the internal...just reads the samples from the externals

Hey got a question is there a hack on the best way to remove VST plugins preset folders to external I know some of the other companies it does it for you but a lot of other plugins Go a different route and I'm really needing space if there's a possible chance you come across this or if you know a app that can do it for you on a Mac will be highly grateful I'm sure you know 256 GB SSD internal gets full so quick I'm trying to organize everything but damn sometimes it feels like so much I feel like restarting my whole computer so many plugins that I don't even use anymore but if there's a solution please help out I'm sure it would help a lot of us that are probably going through the same issue cuz of our memory space on an internal for Mac users thank you you have a blessed day thank you for this video as well 🙏🫡
I mean you could use the simplest password for file vault...it better than nothing and so u 100% won't forget it
