I watched the interview with the Robertson’s and I was taken by the fact they are much more than what they portray in the Duck Dynasty episodes. I felt they expressed genuine feelings about their families and their personal relationships and their relationship with Christ. My main point though from the very end where you commented on how they conducted themselves with each during the interview. I actually did notice how they were not stepping on each other and were giving each other time to speak. I pray often that I will be a better listener than I am a talker. Your comment made me reflect upon my own marriage ( I lost my wife to brain cancer 8 years ago), I believe I could have allowed my wife to have more time telling her version of a situation than I probably gave because I most likely felt my version was more accurate. I always reflect on how I could have made her life experience more joyful had I had my head more in tune with biblical perspective and principles.
So sorry for your loss. Reflection and introspection are great things, I just hope you aren’t beating yourself up. I’m pretty confident that the type of man that reflects on these things has a high chance of being a great husband. Hope that makes sense. God bless.

What the Robertsons did well was the sharing of wisdom. Every day, people around us are sharing wisdom, we just need to be humble enough to take it in.
The Robertson family is another God loving example of success that the media tried to TAKE DOWN with the same sort of slander they are throwing at Russell Brand and Tim Ballard and so many others.
@@braynjohnson4302 The thing with Russell Brand though is that the media fully knew all of this about him years ago and was okay with all of it. Such a great discussion - this family is such a good model for the everyday family unit. My family has deep roots in texas but my husband's family is from Louisiana and Alabama and respect is a big deal in the southern culture - especially respecting your father and the roles we play subordinate to him. Not saying we all bow down to Dad but we all know the role of the man in the home and the effect that has on the entire family - and that is something to respect. We see that in Phil's life and the impact it has had on his family. God's grace is incredibly beautiful.

Of all the many conversations that you, Jordan, have had with different people, this one is my very favorite because it touches base on different things of quality about life that we all need to take a very good look at in our own lives and consider what changes we might need to make, or even those things we thought were failures but really were not. Thanks to all of you for having this conversation for all of us who appreciate you to benefit from.
What a refreshing family, interviewer, and discussion. Loved this. 50:34 is such a nice moment of Jordan laughing, Willie telling the story and Korie looking at him so lovingly.
This was one of the best interviews I've ever watched. Almost like a couch session with the marriage counselor. Ha! I'm off to watch The Blind right now. Praying Dr Peterson gives his life to Jesus Christ.
Jordan Peterson and Willie and Korie Robertson. These people take up two prime areas on the Venn diagram of my life that I did not foresee intersecting. Yet, I gladly welcome it. How did I miss this happening a year ago?
A family that respects each other..We WANTED it to be true. Thank God is was. It gives hope to the dysfunction in so many families. I loved everything about it.
I have a brother who looks so much like Uncle Si that people ask for his autograph. He frequently wears an Uncle Si T shirt so they have a direct comparison. It has generated a lot of funny anecdotes for our family.
Children licking the food takes me back to when I, an only child, visited my Uncle's. They had 7 kids! It was culture shock for me. I remember that the children waited in line to serve ourselves buffet style. The first one in line would lick the dessert that they wanted because we didn't get dessert until after we had emptied our plate. It was so unexpected to me. But it demonstrated the nature of sibling revelry to my naive privilege.
Great, great interview! When God is in the front and center, AWESOMENESS happens! Hope Jordan finds Christ. He is a good man and would be powerful brother for the Gospel. Hope the scales shed soon. Thank you, Jordan!!!
We had the old Phil Robertson VHS tapes because my husband was a duck hunter and we loved the content back then. When they took hold and took off I just thought it couldn't happen to better people. Separately, one state over, my sister's neighbor hunted with Phil which we learned accidentally years later.
Seeing Dr. Peterson laughing is a relief, because we don't see much of it, but that's absolutely not a reason to believe he's not got a fun, happy, smiling side! Also, his interest is in humanity (imo) and not just in a specific type or group of people. ❤
I frequently run across an elderly fella that went to school with Phil. Said he's proud of him for finding faith It takes time for some to find the right path to follow.
This is such a fascinating episode. I love Jordan Peterson and have learned so much from him as he engages his pursuit of truth through verbal processing with his audience. He has worked so hard to use the intellectual tools available to pursue truth, which has so often lead him to myths and the sacred texts of Judeo Christianity. So then to listen him encounter the Robertsons who don't have anything like the intellectual chops or education that Dr. Peterson has, but actually embody the truth by faith, the only way Scripture can be fully interpreted or understood. Their joy, peace, settledness...as individuals and as a family community, they are already well becoming all the things that Peterson evaluates and analyses as a deeply rooted part of who they are. The lightness and joy of the Robertsons is something available to everyone without having to get a doctorate and piece together fragments of truth from Jung, social science research, the great myths, with some sprinkling in of Scripture. It is available to everyone and empowered by God Himself. I love that the Robertons are praying for Dr. Peterson...I think a lot of us are. Can't wait for him to land on the Center.
My husband and I went to see the movie on opening day. It was amazing! The quality of the film was top notch. We were very impressed. Plus, the message of the movie is so impactful. What a wonderful example of redemption. The ripple effects of Phil Robertson’s conversion is amazing! Highly recommend!
I like and watch both of these "people" often and this is my favorite each of them has done by far! I was so excited to have Mr Peterson ask questions to the Robertsons. Honestly the best!
There is no such thing as failure, if you learn something from the experience that makes you better. Christianity places a big emphasis on the power of love and forgiveness, and is something the world really needs right now. Bless you guys! God uses those who are weak, but the key is we are all weak in the presence of God. It is humility that allows us to surrender.
As Christians, what makes a family strong is the love of God, respect and obedience to their elders, and respect and love for their partners, which is true Christianity.
Outstanding cultural idols. It seems that JP is more fascinated with southern ideals. Perhaps he relates more to the south from how he grew up. Humble, simple, hardworking people.
Wow! That was awesome! All glory to Jesus! Mr Peterson, the prayers of the righteous availing much ! 🙏 Praying for you too to come to Christ and spending eternity with you and all the saints
I just watched the movie, the parallels to my life were touching. I still frequently feel unworthy, it's hard to comprehend the infinite love of God and Jesus Christ.
I have been so amused how my young children have been enjoying this as much as I am. Every time we have to pause they make sure to ask if we can turn it back on again 😉 Thank you for this work and all you both do.
Willie mentioning the 700 club brought back a flood of fond memories. I loved this episode, thank you Dr. Peterson for another fantastic learning opportunity 🙏
The interview makes sense. Jordan wants social stability that comes out of work, family, and faith. It is easy to mock, but Western society stands on the shoulders of simple moral people that make the system function.
I watch a concrete UA-cam channel and It struck me in a similar way to the Robertson family, Victory Outdoor Services. Good man, good crew, good family. Ups and downs, triumphs and failures as we all have, but good honest people at the helm.
This was a wonderful conversation. I believe this is the beginning of more wonderful things. I am going to watch "The Blind", "That's for sure.", as Jordan would say.
One piece of advice Phil Robertson gave to young men was that you date a girl who is nice looking, but you have to be careful. He said, "She might be real pretty on the outside, but inside is as mean as a rattlesnake".
10. 1 Peter 1:8-9: “Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”
yeah, well ducks. plenty of hunting shows. but duck hunting had a reputation of,i dont know, gentlemanly, rm for the wealthy, upity? reputation. and the camera work was also cutting edge for it's time and place.

I’ve read multiple Duck Dynasty memoirs and still learned new things from this video. Love this family & their story. Thank you!!❤
Seeing Dr. Peterson laughing is a relief, because we don't see much of it, but that's absolutely not a reason to believe he's not got a fun, happy, smiling side!
Also, his interest is in humanity (imo) and not just in a specific type or group of people. ❤
I never thought these folks would cross paths. I am so glad they did!!!
Incredible interview!
Two of my favorite things
Doc and the Ducks..
I frequently run across an elderly fella that went to school with Phil.
Said he's proud of him for finding faith
It takes time for some to find the right path to follow.
Kori is the essence of her family. She is a wonderful leader. She will continue to make great strides in her family. Love her!
Having a conversation with Dr peterson is on my bucket list, I hope one day my dream will come true😊
Love the Robertsons! The Blind is a remarkable movie!
What a wonderful calm interview with all around good genuine people 🙏🏼🥰
There is no such thing as failure, if you learn something from the experience that makes you better.
May God bless all of these families. Thank you all for this conversation.
Outstanding cultural idols. It seems that JP is more fascinated with southern ideals. Perhaps he relates more to the south from how he grew up. Humble, simple, hardworking people.
As a southerner I was drawn to his background cuz it was country living
Wow! That was awesome! All glory to Jesus! Mr Peterson, the prayers of the righteous availing much ! 🙏 Praying for you too to come to Christ and spending eternity with you and all the saints
We love these people. Thanks Jordan.
So glad to see families still together.
5 generations is awesome, we were blessed to have that in our family also.
Love the wide variety of guests! Especially the fact that he is open to having people of faith on the show.
An interview with Phil and Miss Kay would be amazing! This interview was great too! Watched it straight through!
I love the Robertson family Duck Dynasty. I watch their fabulous UA-cam channels. God bless them and God bless Jordan Peterson.🙏
Willie mentioning the 700 club brought back a flood of fond memories. I loved this episode, thank you Dr. Peterson for another fantastic learning opportunity 🙏
They have helped preserve decency in our country and yes I love their faith
Could you imagine Uncle Si on JP? That's my dream podcast!!
The interview makes sense. Jordan wants social stability that comes out of work, family, and faith. It is easy to mock, but Western society stands on the shoulders of simple moral people that make the system function.
Love the show Duck Dynasty. Enjoy the Robinson family. God bless you. Keep up the good work Dr. Peterson. Enjoy your podcasts.
I watch a concrete UA-cam channel and It struck me in a similar way to the Robertson family, Victory Outdoor Services. Good man, good crew, good family. Ups and downs, triumphs and failures as we all have, but good honest people at the helm.
My two favorite families colliding for an episode, my heart is full! ❤
This was a wonderful conversation. I believe this is the beginning of more wonderful things. I am going to watch "The Blind", "That's for sure.", as Jordan would say.
Well now here is a grand crossover of things I enjoy.
Love Phil because he's real...humble and super interesting a wealth of knowledge
One piece of advice Phil Robertson gave to young men was that you date a girl who is nice looking, but you have to be careful. He said, "She might be real pretty on the outside, but inside is as mean as a rattlesnake".
10. 1 Peter 1:8-9:
“Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”
The videos began as hunting videos and they were so loved; they took it the next step.
yeah, well ducks. plenty of hunting shows. but duck hunting had a reputation of,i dont know, gentlemanly, rm for the wealthy, upity? reputation. and the camera work was also cutting edge for it's time and place.
Great family and thank you Jordan Peterson for giving me ammunition to help people

Gratitude is very important!
I just have to say, my dogs always were around the dinner table. I consider myself but a dog under the table. I am thankful. I do understand what was said, though. Modern days, some eat while watching tv. We do, but we are thankful & say so. Thank you for this interview.
It's just a little disjointed. But, I'm only a little way through. I don't see the correlation with The Simpsons, and I have no idea who the trailer park boys are.
what a wonderful interview. Jordans questions were literally tailor made for Willie and Korie to answer based on shared philosphies.
Thank you. This was so pleasant to watch.
i miss duck dynasty so much! i rmbr my dad loved watching this show.
