I did this in EQ Landmark, never found a bottom. Finally gave up and teleported out after a couple hours, clipped my camera through the ground a distance away to see it, my hole just faded into the infinite darkness.
If you use the pick place the bottom edge of the glow circle at the back heel of your foot you will dig diwn at an angle and when you return you wont fall but slide to the bottom and not die.
Lol same, I was using my rake, got stuck and then used glider trying to get out. Ended up flying around under the map before quickly exiting game so I didn't lose my shit lol
I enjoyed your digging adventure a lot. Had some good laughs. Great to see that the developers are engagine this way. Have fun playing more Enshrouded!
You can Co-op with up to 16 people??? In Wurm we co-op over 100 at Imp-A-Long events all using the same area and at any time there are over 400 plus on line in the various isles....
if those tunnels in the distance are what i think they are id guess they are basicly dev dug tunnels id gues that they are on the very very edge of the map if you could somehow find your way over to one of them you could probably streamline the process of reaching the bottom heck it might even just be a strait up drop to the very bottom
Oh neat, I was wondering if the center of the world was hollow like in space engineers. I guess it just looks hollow but is actually still stone not rendered. The devs should rename the stone in that see through area void stone, which does nothing but take up inventory space like a black hole
True, you can see this first part of the video where we mine out an area and then a while after the game world loads in. The end of the video void is different though as this remains the same after multiple hours and stays unrendered between game loading. And in fact the little tour down to the bottom of the hole at the end is about 2hrs of live streaming AFTER we placed the flame in the void. So it's not just the world taking a bit of extra time to load.
The sad part is that after saving and reloading, your tunnel will disappear because everything not within the altar's range resets to its default state after some time or upon save and reload.
not yet to the end .keep digging. you will see new cyberpunk looking material.when you truly touch down.after 10 sec countdown.you will be sending back.
I never understood if the game wanted to me to navigate the terrain or just dig directly to my destination. I have spent many hours digging and still love it. All the shortcuts I've made. :)
I'm surprised it took so long for someone to mention you could of placed a second flame down just outside of the seconds boundary, because the limit of a flame only goes so far up and so far down, so if you had brought a couple extra flames to place underground you could of just terraformed to the bottom of the map a lot quicker than mining it away.
That is true it would have been faster but the only unlock id' made at this point was Blacksmith so only two flames and juggling flames and mining out a new area out each time multiple times would have taken a long time too. Now that I've progressed more and unlocked more flames though....maybe we can go even deeper...
I just broke mine by digging my way to the other side of the mountains in the bottom righthand corner of the map. The veiw is really dope. A wall of red on one side floating isles and trees on the other. Sadly you also can't glide off lol
You are aware that if you dig deep enough, you'd end up in Europe? Where it's a bit cold at the moment. But you managed to pull off an inpressive feat nevertheless. Chapeau!
you could have set a waypoint near your first flame and used the compass to tell you how far away you were. I see your compass saying your 386m from your objective, so you had to be 35o-ish meters down... Good job. now i can tell my son someone has already done it and he doesn't need to.
Dude why are you using pickaxe? Put a flame altar juat put and remove blocks until you reach altars border, then tp back to altar remove it, jump down the well put another altar, rinse and repeat. It will be 100 times faster.
you can dig below the light in one round of breaking an iron axe if you dig straight down, your nowhere near the bottom. you go for 2 rounds straight down and youll fall off the bottom.... step it up streamers
Actually you didn’t go that deep, I went to the bedrock, the real one. The whole invisible thing is just rendering bug, but bedrock is actually a real thing, keep going ;) PS : it was around 8.5k stones from the surface where we do our first altar!
Aye yeah, as you can see when the devs show up they tell us they've made the made 500m deeper than the beta. And we'd only dug like 200-300m total so still a long way to go!
@BloodyDrongo a survival game is basically a game where you must eat and/or drink or you will die. This game you can go afk for days and nothing will happen. If people classify this game a survival game that makes every RPG a survival game.
Sure that CAN be an aspect of a survival game but certainly not the only one. Generally I personally consider any game that has open world, crafting, building and resource collection as potentially being in the genre (like Enshrouded has). That said, this is a disagreement about something with no objective standard. @@itt2055
@BloodyDrongo actually the very basis of a survival game is the need to eat and drink. It is what makes it a survival game, you must find food and water to survive. This game is just a RPG that has an open world. The building and crafting are just to add to the fun and challenge. Personally I quite love this game and I hope the developers just add to it without destroying the basic mechanics. I have seen too many games start out good and then they dig a really deep hole that they can't come back from.
Check out the Wikipedia list of survival games, more than half don't have "you must eat and drink or die" mechanics. But yes, Enshrouded is a great game so far, especially for Early Access. Hopefully they keep building on the foundation and turn it into something even more special!@@itt2055
hey i don't know if you've stopped playing wurm online, but I started playing it literally when the new CEO came and everything else that happened afterwards.. I really liked the whole "vibe" and the really slow but rewarding gameplay, I played for a few days, I met a lot of really nice players that helped me get started, one guy even accepted me into his deed and gave me a small plot of land to do whatever i wanted with it! (kinda reminded me of when I played runescape for the first time :D). The problem I'm having is that I really wanted to experience everything the game had to offer but I also didn't want to "waste" my time on it because at the time I thought it could die at any moment.. so I came here to ask you for a opinion.. should I give it a go again or is wurm online doomed?
I've not stopped playing no, just less Wurm News lately to report on. But I do have a new video coming later this week that will answer you exact question!
Was it breaking the game because you got to the bottom or because you found an infinite stone exploit method? (Spoke too soon) This game seems cool and I may pick it up someday, but if the combat and difficulty are Souls-like I will nope on my way to another game. If it's like Breath of the Wild where you get murdered on your way to find a weapon and can't protect yourself because you don't have a weapon, that's a double nope. I hate Breath of the Wild more than I hate Fire and Ice Keese in Ocarina of Time, and that's saying something because I have a passionate hatred for those shit-bats!
It's definitely not souls like honestly, it's more like valheim, the combat is honestly forgiving and you can level up your gear to meet the challenge.
Knowing Dev humor, I'm really surprised they didn't put a Balrog down there, to welcome those who delved too deep... :)

Yup! It's no MMO but honestly I do feel like the building and terraforming are on a similar level to Wurm. It's VERY satisfying!
A friend and I did this on the second day the game was out.
Hell yeah, congrats!
The real question from another Wurm player... can tunnels be wrapped over and around each other? Are they true 3D?
They certainly can!!
Last part is POV for coloscope
Good god hahahahaha
You can use the rake also and if you go too far down you'll end up on cinder vault

place and remove foundations is the best way to bulk dig
Why place foundations when you can just right click remove terrain?
Foundations clear a cleaner angle for building and are larger than the terrain removal i believe
