Community Manager needed to continue to be a paid role to have any real effect. Wild that the best thing for Wurm's population this year was a random Brasilian streamer and not anything they did. They aren't really focused on anything. Even chat moderation. There's essentially none right now.
They really need to invest money into their advertisement and the people behind it. An organisation can't reach new audiences if they don't even try it. There needs to be a balance between advertising and updating, patching the game. No point of adding QOL to the game for new players if new players don't even know the game exists. Just my opinion on the matter
I think a better way of looking at is promoting the game, not nessecarily advertising. Old school methods of reaching new audiences for Wurm is a non starter, things like banner ads, youtube ads, forum ads etc just simply won't get any kind of RoI for a game like Wurm. However promotion needs to be a must, targeted intergrations with Content Creators, active social media and inhouse content production and community engagement needs to be where they focus imo.
Samool saying there's not much to share is exactly how his development history was last time around lol CraftyJoe was maybe a shell account from a social media company in the Philippines, I believe. Scam. I dunno that Wurm would formally say that they got had.
Well I mean stuff has been happening but also I know that big stuff like the action rework etc predate Samool coming back on the scene. Will be interesting to see if we see further progress. I dunno how Craftyjoe was a scam, they actually did make content for a while. If they actually part ways with Wurm on bad terms it wouldn't make sense to me that they still have them linked on the website.
@@BloodyDrongo CraftyJoe just disappeared. I wouldn't say that's bad or good. They just disappeared. And people are still on the staff list and website who were fired from Wurm some time ago so I don't know if this is the assurance you hope it is.
I don't know if it's that dire at all, the share price for GCG is *okay* and there is still stuff happening. It just feels without proper direction and focus right now.
Thank you for the shoutout Drongo!
Really happy to see that it brought some fresh air to the community
Welcome to Wurm Online!

Completely agree, it's such an important yet unvalued role. They need to really put investment into that area, they've already squandered so much.
This is well timed! I have not been keeping up at all for almost 6 months, so this will fill me in.
Hahaha well luckily the video isn't too long then!
will be interesting to see how this will change the game for the future.
Will definately be interesting if they can bring a bit more direction and focus I agree!

Wurm Wednesday baybee!
You know it!!
I'd really like to give the game a try but the skill limit for new players really kills it for me
That's valid, not for everyone!
